Very good experience. Quick and the receptionist and Dr were very nice. I had a coupon on my phone but they need to be printed out to be accepted but the receptionist was nice enough to let me email it to her so she could print it for me.

From the time I set my appointment over the phone until I walked out the door, my entire experience was pleasant, professional, and prompt.

Women, watch out for Dr. Stephen Robinson. He performed an «exam» on me by testing my reflexes, and then using a stethoscope on my back, over my clothes, and then straight down the front of my top without warning, holding the fabric out and away from my body.
The neckline of the top goes up to my collarbone and is close-​fitting. This was not an «accident» and is not a normal thing a doctor would do. Any doctor with legitimate business down a woman’s dress will state the needful and/​or ask permission.
Based on this experience, I recommend steering clear.

This place seems like a hole in the wall, but they provide a very professional service. Easy street parking and great customer service will keep me coming back every time I need to renew. They’re timely and never make me feel uncomfortable. Dr. Sean was super cool and answered all my questions and helped me figure out different treatments for my pain. Hope he’s still there next year!

Both times I have been in to this office I have received REAL medical care and come away with some good ideas on how to manage my back pain. Plus, this time even the receptionist was nice.

I rarely ever write reviews but I just have to with this.
The front office girl was super awesome. Relaxed and lots of personality.
Then I go in to meet with Dr Solomon. This is where it got weird. I enjoy all people and am a fairly open person and can get along with just about anyone. This guy, rubbed me completely the wrong way and was short with me and rude. I was slightly nervous as I am new to cannabis and was looking to talk to a knowledgable Dr.
I first scheduled an appt for 230 but they called and asked if I could switch to 130… which I then had to finagle with my job. Okay, no worries.
So, upon reading my form Dr Solomon asked why I had a breast reduction since I am male. I explained it was because I was a Transgender Male (given the sex of female at birth but transitioned into my true Male Gender). Anyway, I am not normally a super PC person and I expect that Dr’s expect me to be open about my being transgender. (It’s literally insane how Dr’s have NO clue about the gender transitions…)
Anyway, after I said that, he stared at me hard (awkwardly) and then said «I could never have guessed you were transgender…» Okay, thanks for the «compliment» man. but it’s really not a compliment and in fact… totally rude. I mean… thanks? Cool? Then he reads I have a partner and then asks why we don’t live together because as he said «people your age live together.» (Uh??? alright?) Then he asked why i wrote «Heterosexual». I said… because I am with a woman. He stared at me again and said «So your partner is a woman?» Me: «Yes?» Him: «And you consider yourself heterosexual because you think you are a man?» Me: «I am male, she is female so therefore we are in a heterosexual relationship.» I could go in depth… but I figured it was the easiest way to explain to a Dr who obviously doesn’t understand. Him: «Wow, that’s so interesting… Just really interesting» I mean… really? What in the hell?
Next, he abruptly asks for my medical records. I brought out my pill bottles and Dr. letters explaining how I had anxiety etc. and then said I didn’t have the full records but here are print outs from them direct. He said… «nevermind. I wont need that… i need your medical records.» Well, they were all certified and legit letters… so I am not sure what he was talking about?
Then he mentioned how he used to be a Gyno and how he had never told anyone before me… and how normally he could tell when transgender people were transgender but couldn’t tell with me. Again… with the offensive comments… and I don’t even get offended. like… ever.
So then after everything he says «Okay, I am just going to say you have insomnia because it’s not like they can prove it and its for your privacy.» ??? Um… okay?
He then asks if I have any questions (this has all now taken place in less than ten minutes…) I begin to ask him his recommendations for different types of cannabis as I figured he could help me figure out some more details with higher CBD and LOW THC. I have done my research and figured a dispensary could help… but thought why not ask the Dr? Anyway, he basically said he couldn’t really tell me because all bodies are different. I understand… but he just kept shutting my questions down and was totally not helpful in the least.
I went here because I saw it on many documentaries and it made me feel comfortable to go to a seemingly reputable clean place… but man… he was just weird.
Definitely wont be coming here again which is a bummer.

I received 4 phone calls confirming my appointment. When I came in yesterday, I handed them my ID and the woman checked me in. The I learned that Dr. Shaun wasn’t in. I rescheduled my appointment for today. So when I come in, I’m told that my non California ID wasn’t enough. She informed me that it was the law to see proof of residence, even though I’ve been here before (very recently too.) She also said that whenever they call to confirm appointments, they always tell their patients what is required. Weird that all 4 people who called me never mentioned anything.
These people need to get their crap together.
I want a refund. This place sucks.

And understood my husbands condition. He was also compassionate and took the time to explain exactly what medicine combination of cannibis to take. This visit was
Non intimidating, quick and efficient. The office staff was also kind and friendly.

Very professional, clean, pleasant. Dr. Rybold was great. Easy street parking, though only an hour limit. I was the day’s second appointment so had no problems but I could see them easily getting backed up so try to get the first appointment if you can and get there early. But aside from that, the quality of care is wonderful, at least with Dr. Rybold. He made some recommendations I appreciated and was very pleasant to consult with. Receptionist was nice also!

I’ve been coming here ever since they took over Green Reliefs patients. The whole process took about an hour. It’s easy to make appointments online and they always call and remind you when your card is about to expire. The process is very simple and straightforward if you have all your medical records ready and print and fill out the form ahead of time which you can print from their website. Not a bad price if you look at the back of the east bay express *hint hint*

I went here last year and they were very good, and the doctor (Hillman) helpful. PLUS, I got good price, for being a first-​timer there. They did everything, PLUS a card, for about $ 49.00. This year, they wanted $ 95.00 for my renewal + card. I pointed out that I had referred someone to them, so they gave me $ 20. 00 off, but no senior discount or discounted renewal price. Most places charge on $ 39.00 for that. Like an idiot, I paid. Later I banged my head against the wall for not just walking out. I’m on Social Security and paying twice as much really hurt.
THE TRICK, IS TO BRING A COMPARATIVE PRICE AD FROM E. BAY EXPRESS, THAT OFFER RENEWALS FOR $ 39.00, AND THEY WILL MATCH IT. If you get Dr. Phillips, you better really be sick or in pain, or he will not ok you.

Doctors at this location are regularly clueless and careless in their approach to patients and it’s because of «physicians» like this that doctors who recommend cannibis sometimes get the reputation of being ‘quacks’ — which ends up tarnishing the community of medical marijuana patients, as well.
Last year, I took a half-​day from work to attend my appointment (which I scheduled a month in advance). I sat around for an hour waiting — after which I was told, «Dr. Solomon forgot he had appointments scheduled here today. He’s not coming.»
Cute. When I *did* finally get an appointment, he claimed he didn’t have any of my medical records. I double checked with my primary care physician — she had fax confirmation of having sent them.
This year, a doctor (a «Dr. Phil»?) canceled my appointment on the DAY OF (despite confirming the day before), simply because he realized he had a big gap in his schedule and didn’t want to be in the office so long. Wah.
There are better places around where you can be treated by someone who actually behaves like an actual professional.

Not a good experience this time around. This visit was for a renewal — not much changed in with my meds/​health condition from last year.
Receptionist could not find my medical records. I offered her the medical number I gave the online appointment lady from my paperwork and she said that wouldn’t help her out at all — and pointed to all of her manilla folder files. Ok. Then I told her that the name is hyphenated and perhaps it is under the wrong name. She copped an attitude immediately. I showed her my CA I.D. and I told her that the name on the I.D. is my maiden name, not the name that is my current name since I married (this is on my out of state driver’s license). The CA I.D. had my maiden name because I didn’t have my marriage license at the time I applied for the CA I.D. just my birth certificate — and that had my maiden name on it only.
I am a patient at Kaiser and all of my records/​credit cards/​everything is under my legal name which includes my maiden name. I asked if she would please put the medical I.D. in my current name which has my maiden name on it along with my married name.
Last year when I went to the clinic for my first appointment my correct and current married name (which also has my maiden name on it) was used on the documentation. The entire reason for having documentation is to go to a dispensary and gets meds and/​or if stopped by an officer of the law.
My point here is that the receptionist was EXTREMELY RUDE and said if I didn’t like what she was doing I could leave and go elsewhere. What? I never said anything about leaving the appointment. She then chastised me for «being angry». I was not angry. I was just wondering why did they put my correct name on my medical documentation LAST YEAR, but failed to do it this year?
I then asked her name. She put her pen down and stared at me with wide open eyes. I said, well, you do have a name don’t you? She was hesitant to give it to me. She said it was «Seven». Fine. I doubt if that is her REAL name. No problem. But, «Seven» violated her own code of ethics/​rules/​regulations LAST YEAR — but wouldn’t put my correct information down this year. Would you be baffled? I was.
I told her the first doctor I went to had no problem putting my entire legal name on the document… she then said, well, if you want to go back to them and pay twice what you’re paying here — you can cancel this appointment. How many times can you insult a patient Ms. Seven?
Furthermore her appearance and competence and tact was sorely lacking which made for an EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE ANTAGONISTIC ANXIETY PROVOKING experience.
I will never go back here again.

I went in here today and liked them very much. Very nice and professional. The doctor had a lot of different ideas and approaches. I was excited to learn all that I did. I highly recommend them.

Wow, don’t expect my review to be as in depth as T.A. below. Hmmm… I’m thinking it stands for Tits and Ass. But, here is a lil review for ya. Went there, filled out some papers. Pleasant receptionist. Saw Dr. in about 25 mins. Dr. Hillman checked me out. Asked what ailed me. I told her I had a bit of pain in a few places. Viola, got my recommendation. Out of there within an hour. They won’t tell you were the dispenseries are. I’m thinking it must be illegal. But now I’m legally medicated and it’s all good. Check em out. No stress at all. :-)

Yes, it is true, I have joined the ranks of those with a med card. I was greeted warmly by both the receptionist and the doctor. The doctor completed a brief, mostly verbal examination. I had medical documentation that fit one of the criteria to receive a card. The whole process was very simple and timely.

Took a loved one for a visit and was impressed by the professionalism by the staff and Dr. S. The doctor looked like he just stepped out of a John Wayne movie. Dr. S. could be a real cowboy. Aside from that, he was very kind and willing to explain every question in detail. While I’m not 4/​20, I did learn a great deal of how herbs can support the care of a variety of ailments. The staff issued the script and all was done in one hour. Now off the dispensary.

Am a lil surprised I haven’t reviewed this place. Been going since 2009 and it keeps getting better every year I go.
First year was some weird, creepy doc who isn’t with CHC any longer. Neither is the lady from my 2^nd year, and thank goodness. didn’t like her either. I kept coming back because this place is centrally located and the renewal rate is $ 80, which is comparable with (if not better than) other places.
2010 – 2012 I went to Dr. Hilman. While she is nice enough, she is super weight focused. Like the first year I went, I remember her being kind of preachy about it, but whatever, that’s her deal. Then last year when I went in and had lost weight, she actually remembered me and gave me some props for the fat shed. I was just so shocked she remembered. Then recently, I had a friend come in and go to her and she too got the preachy lecture about weight. Listen up Dr. Hilman, we’re there for weed, this ain’t Jenny Craig. Women know when we’re fat and when we need to take a few pounds off, no need to browbeat us.
This year I got Dr. Solomon. Let me tell you, he is the best! I was in and out of there within 20 minutes, which has NEVER happened in all the years I’ve been going. Every single doctor before me has waited a good 15 minutes (or longer) to call me back after the illustrious Seven (Receptionist) gives them the required paperwork to begin the procedures.
Can I also say that every year I go, I like Seven even more too. She’s definitely one-​of-​a-​kind and I dig her style. While I hope she always strives for greatness in her life and career, I selfishly hope she works here always and forever. I really like her a lot.
There used to be some edgy lesbian chicks who worked here that always played techno. totally random tidbit for ya there.
So, there you have it. This is still the best place in town to go for your medical 420 recommendation and Dr. Solomon is no-​nonsense. He’s not there to candy coat shit or make you feel like you’re his best friend… he’s there to get you in and out and on your way to enjoying the rest of your day… which is what I shall do now.

Easy on line appointments, a lovely and helpful receptionist, and a doctor that reminded me of Henry Hill’s father in the TV show King of the Hill.
They get the job done and it was easier than I anticipated although I didn’t appreciate having to wait nearly an hour to be seen.

I normally look for 4+ stars when picking a place off of Unilocal,so I was hesitant to go with Compassionate Health Options. However, I’d heard a couple other people recommend it, and it was the cheapest option ($ 80 for a renewal vs. $ 95+ elsewhere) so I decided to give it a go. Boy am I glad that I did.
The office was nice, nicer than some regular doctor’s offices I’ve been to. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was empty save for the (very friendly) receptionist. I filled out some forms, and saw the doctor almost immediately.
So that’s all well and good, but what really blew me away was the consultation itself. Unlike the place I got my first recommendation, which seemed to be staffed with doctors who couldn’t really care less about you, and were simply going through their required checlikst, Dr. Weiss clearly cares about his patients. Not to mention, he apparently ran an ER for 15 years before coming here, so he’s got the medical chops to back it up. This place really puts the «medical» in medical marijuana.
After the visit, the receptionist printed out my card, and I was on my way. This place was fast, friendly, and professional; and unless some other office is having some ridiculous sale, there’s no reason to go anywhere else.
