History

Established in 1985.

Cut n Stuff Hair Designs was established in 1985 by my late aunt, Francis Williams Burris. She went on to open her second Salon «Cuts n Stuff Phase II «Hayward, CA in 1995 operated by her daughter. After her passing in 2000, I relocated from Dallas, Texas to assist in the continued success of the business, Later acquiring ownership of the Oakland location.

I take pride in running a professional business, consistently performing quality service in a timely manner. My ultimate goal is to «Exceed Your Service Expectations». Specializing in a variety of hair loss solutions, I book by appointment only and offer private services. My work ethic, professionalism and knowledge as a Stylist sets me apart from the rest. «Relaxing hair therapy with magic hands» this describes my experience EVERY time I come out of this Salon. I absolutely love how Charlotte uses her talent to enhance my natural beauty and shows me different tricks along the way so that i can maintain between appointments.

Look Charlotte you can get mad you can deny it you can text me all you want but at the end of the day you gave me three horrible full laces I have tried to work with you I’ve tried to ask to order them in virgin state but you still refused to try to do anything to solve the issue you told me to take my business elsewhere to a white hairdresser so since then I have a Caucasian American hairdresser who does my hair for me and I only go to her and only her she treats me with respect doesn’t play games and charges me the same prices she charges everyone else it doesn’t say racial things like you say you really need to go look in the mirror about some of the racial stuff that you say because at the end of the day you are a African American woman and I know you don’t have it easy so why are you trying to make people feel bad about themselves for the skin that they were born in when you struggle with the same issue yourself oh and another thing if you hate Asian people so much why do you order hair pieces from them don’t do business with them if you hate them and then sit there and ramble on about it in front of your clients who are in interracial relationships with Asian men

I first reviewed Cuts N Stuff in August 2008 and continue to be a fan of Charlotte’s. The shop is comfortable and stylish; any children in the shop are well-​behaved and quiet; and Charlotte’s service is professional and friendly.
My current hair is a lace wig which Charlotte applies with precision. I like to mess with my hair between visits, maybe switch wigs or try new products… sometimes Charlotte has to rescue me (LOL). She can work with people like me AND people who have her do everything for them. She is very flexible and supports what the client wants.
I like that Charlotte is always researching and trying new products to recommend to clients. If you’re thinking of a lace wig you should know that there are many adhesives and what works for some people won’t work for others. There’s no way to know except by trial. Charlotte knows the adhesives because she’s researched them and can help with that process.
As for the comments from her sister Beverly, well all I can say is sometimes family can be the weight trying to pull you down when all you’re doing is trying to live a good and righteous life. Trust your instincts — go in, meet Charlotte and you will be glad you did!

Charlotte saved my life! Well my «hair life.» lol. My first experience with a lace front was with a total unproffessional out of Richmond, but at the time I didn’t know. After finding Charlotte through Unilocal,and having her do my lace front for the first time, I now see what I was missing. She taught me every step along the way and even made a lower quality wig I already had look much better! I’ve already ordered a wig from her and can’t wait to go back for her to apply it! Highly recommend this place.

My hair was so damaged I no other choice but to start all over and I must say my lace front is the bomb! No one else can do our hair like you and your crew!!!

Charlotte my hairstylist is very friendly and accommodating. She has made room for me everytime I need her. The shop is beautiful, warm and inviting. I bought my first lace front wig through someone else, but I’ve bought 2 more from Charlotte at reasonable prices and I love them all. She is one of few hairstylist in the East Bay that specializes in the application of lace front wigs. Private appts. are available and also early Sunday appts. There is a great Barber — Billy on hand as well.”

I traveled all the way from Seattle to have a lace front weave put in by Yollanda who works at Cuts N Stuff Hair Designs. My hair looks amazing and she did an excellent job on educating me about lace fronts since this was all very new to me. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone! Everyone there was very entertaining and I didn’t even have to read the book that I had brought along to read. I really loved the professional atmosphere and the fact that Yollanda took the time to give me a call and follow-​up with me just in case I had problems maintaining my new look.
