Elemental Journey Bodywork

After tweaking my shoulder over a year ago; I had some sharp pain within my shoulder that would arise when raising my arm in certain positions, and this kept me from doing heavier weights on shoulder exercises and caused discomfort during my regular activity. I had shared this story with Eli, and he recommended some bodywork to supplement my recovery.
I had four sessions with Eli. In the first session, Eli asked me a series of questions to see where and when I would feel the pinch in my shoulder, then described the different massage techniques he felt would use to alleviate some of the stress. During the session, Eli took the time to describe how the various massage techniques work, explaining how he would lengthen and knead the muscles and what type of result I should expect. He made it clear that trying to fix a specific problem might take some trial and error, so it was nice to see him follow up on our sessions so he could adjust which techniques he would use and vary the intensity of the massage to tease out how to best support my shoulder. I found Eli’s approach to massage very helpful, as he always sought feedback and valued my input. No two sessions were ever the same, and I appreciate that he would describe the changes he would be making and his thought process behind it.
The sessions themselves were relaxing. There was some soft music playing along with some aromatics that were pleasant and not too overwhelming. I had my sessions split over a few months, and by the end of it, I did feel that the massage helped speed my shoulder recovery. I had gone to Eli for massage in conjunction with doing light weight shoulder exercises to strengthen the muscle, and now I’m able to use my shoulders in the full range of motion without any pinching pain. Eli takes his craft seriously, so I would give him my solid recommendation.

When I first got a massage from Elijah, I was finishing up an intensive school program, was pretty stressed out, and not sleeping so well. Especially, my bladder would wake me up at night often, and I felt like I was always sort of ‘on call’ even though I wasn’t. I had tried a number of things and was still having these challenges. I walked into the massage with Elijah just expecting to ease the knots in my back and legs, but I left so deeply relaxed I was in an altered state. I love massage and receive massage regularly, and this stood out as a really exceptional session. Then, that night, I slept through the night for the first time in months, and woke deeply refreshed. I was stunned, and so happy! So, I decided to book 3 more massages with him in the next week so that I could really do some serious healing — I didn’t want to screw around when I had found something that helped me so much. So, he worked with my schedule and we made it happen.
This was such a huge turnaround for me and my wellbeing! I still see Elijah for massage (just not usually 4 times a week:)) and am deeply, deeply grateful for how much he has helped me! 5 stars for sure!

I was was in a motorcycle accident and shortly after got surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. I was afraid of touch and developed a very low pain tolerance but desperately needed a massage. Elijah understood where I was coming from. He was considerate with every stroke. His massage reintroduced touch, pressure and «good pain» to my muscles and now I can enjoy deep tissue again.
I got a deep tissue massage today and his pressure is hypnotically relaxing. I stepped out of my head for a minute there. I feel like he turns my muscles into melting butter if that makes sense. He covers the whole body which leaves me walking away feeling like every muscle got attention. My joints felt compacted when I walked in now I feel limber. I can’t express how awesome his massages are. The guy gots skills man.

Elijah is one of the most focused and dedicated massage therapists out there. Each session begins with a quick check in — over time he learns his clients’ troublesome areas and uses various modalities to dispel stress and tension and also to reawaken and invigorate strained tissue. I’ve been working through a sacrum & hip issue and the sessions with Elijah have been instrumental in both soothing the pain and helping me connect to what is going on in my body in ways that help me re-​pattern how I use my muscles. Beyond working with achey spots, Elijah’s touch is deeply soothing and relaxing. Thank you Elijah!

Elijah is a great massage therapist! I’ve had many sessions with him since last year. Massage is high quality, he likes to take his time, deeply and slowly working on the areas that need it the most. I like the fact that he is very passionate about well being and continuous learning on new techniques. He is excellent, open, friendly, flexible schedule and very responsive to customer needs. Highly recommended!

I’ve had two massages with Elijah so far. They’re so deeply relaxing. He Does these super, super slow Swedish strokes and then he combines it with shiatsu (squishing my tense muscles flat) and Tui-​na (my muscles become a gentle drum set).I asked him «that was an amazing rhythm did you make that up?» He said «no, ancient Chinese pattern».) So cool.”
