We are a coin operated self-​serve carwash. Open 24 hours. 6 bays with a foam brush and hot water including a truck bay at each end. Our car washes operate with Gold Coins (tokens) and our 3 token machines accept $ 1, $ 5, $ 10, & $ 20 bills. There are 7 powerful Power Vac® vacuums with dual motor suction power. Vending machines on site offer supplies such as Kleen-​Rite Kleen Shams towels, California Wet Towel window cleaner, Armor All®, and Little Trees® air freshener. Washing your own car lets you do it your way and get some exercise at the same time! It also helps teach your kids to respect the family car. Come on in and give us a try. We really appreciate our customers!

Our business is environmentally friendly, using only 2.5 gallons a minute. Average hoses-​10 gallons per minute. Automatic car washes-​73 gallons and conveyor washes –44 gallons per car

I should have remembered that I don’t like this place!
I hadn’t been here in years. Today trouble reared its ugly head before I even started! I was waiting in my car for a spot to open up and a man approached asking if I wanted to buy car wash coins from him since he had purchased too many. «No thank you. I’m good» I kindly replied. He looked at me with a cross between disdain and as if I had two heads! When I drove into the washing bay he made sure to give me a brief but noticeable stare down. Seriously!
Last time I was here years ago I ended up having to call the owner about something that went wrong regarding money. He was friendly and, as I recall, resolved the issue but I vowed never to come back. Obviously I forgot my vow!
My faulty rationale for using Golen Coin today was that I’d save a few dollars over the fully automated $ 5.99 car wash nearby at Arco on West Grand and Market.
WRONG!
The timer at Golden Coin is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO short I ended up spending $ 6.00 and that was RUSHING to wash my car.
Yes. I need to lose some pounds but I prefer to get my workout at a gym or walking along the beautiful waterfront NOT doing the «soapy get-​hassled hustle» at the car wash, thank you very much!
Next time $ 5.99 Arco car wash! I can sit comfortably in my car with the radio on… and I wont have to get my shoes wet!

Good car wash. Never had any issues with machines taking my money, or the hood-​like surroundings getting me caught up in there games. Its usually crowded as well, which tells me much about the quality of the place.

I put ten bucks (one of the new bills) into their coin changer, and it took it and promptly did NOTHING. And of course, there’s nobody actually working there, so I had no way to get a refund. What a rip-​off.
