We bought a complicated IKEA bed (Fjell with underbed storage). After a month of it sitting unassembled I contacted Rebecca. She came over, put the bed together in exactly the time she estimated, and we’ve been happy with it for two months now. Six months later we had her back again to put together the largest Kallax shelving unit. Our room is now much tidier with all that storage space. If she hadn’t moved to California then we’d definitely hire her for our next IKEA assembly.

My experience was negative from the start. I asked for a quote and Rebecca dodged the question again and again. Finally, she gave me a quote. We scheduled a time to do the assembly on a Monday. I had to get the day off just for the assembly. She cancelled last minute and did not respond to my e-​mails. I would not recommend her. She’s not professional and just does this on the side.

If you plan getting an IKEa furniture you would not make mistake if you call Rebecca. It does not really worth spending several day on trying to put everything together when there is somebody hat can do the job very fast for reasonable price. She replies very fast to emails and is well organised.. On the day she was late but it was around labor day weekend so i think the traffic was terrible in/​around Boston/​Cambridge area. I guess it must have been very busy in ikea too. She did not ask for any help at all while she was assembling.
Stay away and promise she will be done before you know :)

Excellent, professional and friendly service. I would use Rebecca’s services again and would highly recommend her to anyone needing Ikea assembly or general handiwork.
Rebecca was very communicative via email, quoted me a specific amount for the job and arrived on time/​early.
She assembled an Ikea shoe cabinet for me, hung a mirror and installed a curtain rod and curtains. Her work was excellent and everything is sturdy and level.

I can’t be happier that I found Rebecca to assemble my IKEA furniture. Her communication skills were excellent — she was super prompt replying to emails, and clear, and gave an estimate and came on a Sunday, all great things. She arrived right on time, maybe a few minutes early even, which never happens. She quickly discovered that I’d missed getting a key piece for my giant bed frame and when I panicked, calmly offered me several solutions and talked me down from my freakout. — and it all worked out.
Rebecca brought her own tools, whew, and worked really hard the whole time — no taking breaks, or texting constantly, or doing other weird things so many people do when you happen to be paying them to work. She was efficient, friendly, and trustworthy — I went back to IKEA to get the piece, and she didn’t steal my stuff, but just kept working. She even followed up with me a few days later to make sure everything was still ok with the furniture she assembled. Such service!
It would have taken me so much more time, energy, swearing, tears, etc. to put that bed frame and dresser together. Hiring a professional like Rebecca made it a magical experience, and now the furniture is also put together correctly, not falling apart like it likely would be if I had done it myself. Her estimate was slightly off — the dresser I got was a new addition to the IKEA catalog, so she hadn’t done that one before (she knows the catalog extensively) and she nicely and fairly offered to reduce the $$ I owed to reflect the reduced time. I was so wowed by how easy she made the experience for me that I was happy to pay the agreed upon estimate regardless, because it was totally reasonable. I was just glad she didn’t charge by the number of hours it would have taken me to assemble the stuff (probably like 47, compared to her 4). SO HAPPY!

Contacting Rebecca and hiring her to help assemble Ikea furniture was one of the best decisions I’ve made when it comes to making my apartment feel like home.
As far as service, Rebecca was six-​stars. She immediately wrote back to my inquiry and we corresponded by phone and email. She was on time and super nice. She quoted me a fair price and reasonable timeline, both of which she stuck to. Best of all, she was able to come the next day, and it was a Sunday! I didn’t have to wait a week or so for scheduling.
Rebecca’s work was top notch. She was able to troubleshoot and fix my mistakes with ease (and without judgement) and she assembled my new furniture in record time. I recently purchased an 8-​drawer Hemnes dresser and she put it together in 2.5 hours. I was, and still am, so impressed.
Anytime I have complicated furniture to assemble, or other house projects (not necessarily Ikea related), I will absolutely call Rebecca again.

I had big plans to go to Ikea for a bunch of big pieces, but then got knocked down with a nasty flu. And one of the pieces I wanted was only on sale until June 3. If only there was someone who would go to Ikea for me, bring me the goods, and then — dare I dream it — build it all for me…
Unbelievably, Rebecca does all of this, and at very reasonable rates. She responded quickly to my inquiry, went to both Emeryville and Palo Alto stores to get everything on my list, delivered it to West Marin, and then worked all day building all the pieces. She was extremely professional, skilled, and efficient. I’d give her 6 stars if I could, if only for the look on my husband’s face when he returned home to find a kitchen cabinet, three dressers, and a shelving unit over the laundry all completed without him having to lift a finger. I HIGHLY recommend her, and will certainly use her services again.

Rebecca was fantastic at assembling my Ikea furniture! Her help was worth the money and then some. I thought her prices were very reasonable.
Not only does she know the Ikea way and knows how to put everything together, she was incredibly professional. She got back to me via email very quickly with the quote, she arrived on time, and was very efficient. I never once felt like I was dealing with a sketchy contractor, which some of my friends have done with Ikea builds.
She’s also really very personable and I enjoyed chatting with her while she was building all my stuff.
There is no way I will ever assemble my own furniture again and neither should you.
