International Produce Market is a true relic. they do business the old fashioned way. stickers on every item, no scanners, single checkout line, meat dept. with one person on duty. yet the I.q. public shops here. guess they like the low pricing,(convenience also) not the high tech added expense of shopping. location counts too. it’s almost in the heart of the fruitvale where a few markets have closed already. offerings include mexican foods, american foods, meat dept. mex. snacks, produce, mex. pastries stuck in corner near cashier. not sure why. buys: orangina orange juice(1.49) –never expected to find this –looking at salvadorean baked snacks, not sure if it was 1.49 so passed. on it. take outs: –lots of common courtesy –check out line is cluttered i yield to incoming shoppers. –shopper behind me acknowledges my «space» by not cutting in front of me when i stand to the side to let traffic thru. –i no habla espanol, yet common courtesy speaks volumes. try it sometimes.
