Jonathan Fleming is the man with all the answers! Not only is he an experiences and established real estate agent and broker, property manager, and accomplished author, but he is also an authority on the Bay Area housing market, a self-​proclaimed tech head, a consummate professional, and a super nice man.
A few years ago at the worst part of the housing slump a friend of mine needed to sell his house in San Francisco. The timing was unfortunate, but it could not be helped. Jonathan helped advise him on some options, and helped him to make some very hard decisions.
My mother designed, and built some property in the late 70’s. She now lives in one of the units and rents out the others as part of her retirement income. Even though she has managed this property for 40+ years, there is always some new situations or new law that needs to be addressed. Recently, we had a group of men that wanted to rent out one of our units. We did not have a clause in our lease to account for 4 non-​related tenants. Jonathan helped us find some wording which made each tenant individually and collaboratively responsible for the rent; protecting both the tenants and my mother. We had another situation with a tenant that refused to pay his rent on time, and who was vandalizing the property. Jonathon help guide us through the process of relieving ourselves of this nuisance tenant: from giving proper notice, to the potential eviction process.

Jonathan stepped up and was invaluable to me when my rental property in Oakland had crackhead squatters move into it. Living in Los Angeles I was freaking out about what to do and had no one to lean on. Jonathan stepped up without asking for a penny from me, and was, essentially, my Batman.
After finding a blog article written by Jonathan about evicting people in the bay area I called and left a (what must have sounded crazed) voicemail at 2am. The next morning I received a call from Jonathan asking me about the situation. He calmed me down and detailed what he was going to do, assuring me that everything was going to be okay.
Not once did Jonathan ask for payment. In fact, he paid for the court costs and everything out of pocket. He just got to work dealing with the situation, kept me in the loop, and took on the eviction process without ever asking for anything. Considering the scum he was dealing with at my house, just showed his level of professionalism and dedication to helping someone in need, that he’d trust me to pay him back and take care of him when everything was over and done with.
And that’s just what happened. Jonathan pushed everything as fast as he could. He had the squatters out of my rental home in an unbelievable four weeks time. Only then did we tak cost — and a very reasonable bill for services rendered was agreed upon. Because that’s what a guy with integrity, who cares more about taking care of his clients then worrying about his bottom line does for someone in need.
I’m so very lucky to have met Jonathan. His knowledge of the Oakland area and ability to think outside the box while caring utmost about his clients welfare are traits hard to come by these days. He’s graciously agreed to continue on as our property manager and real estate advisor. If you’re in need, Jonathan could be your Batman too.
