Khoi is amazing! I first saw his work through his cousin who I had hired as my makeup artist for my wedding. She shared a wedding video he had recently completed and I loved it. The video was very professional and has that fresh and fun quality that I love in video and photography. I had already booked my photographer (who did not offer video) and at that point, I was sure I did not need a wedding video.
When I first started budgeting for my wedding, I was adamant that a video was not needed and did not budget it in but as the wedding timeline progressed, my fiancé went back and forth on it. I was not convinced. I had looked at so many cinematographers and wedding videographers and even though I liked some of their work, it was really pricey and way out of our budget. By October, I was going back and forth on whether or not I needed a videographer and the wedding was rapidly approaching in December. When I saw Khoi’s work, I contacted him right away the same day to get a quote. He was well within my budget and I absolutely loved his style. I showed the video to my photographer (who has now become a friend) and she really liked his style too… which pretty much sealed the deal for me.
Khoi and I met up probably within a week or two of me first contacting him and I booked him that day. He is so easy to talk to and personable, I really liked that I felt comfortable with him. I felt so bad for him though, our wedding was a LONG one and he hung on like a soldier. He was there the whole time and recorded everything. We went to three different venues and had many different location shots and he was there the whole time. He’s really great and I don’t think anyone could go wrong by booking him. He’s a true professional with a great eye for detail. An example of his attention to detail — he brought his own light bulbs to replace the ones in the hotel room! Since the hotel room lights are dim and won’t look good on film. As I was getting my makeup done, he was going around changing light bulbs to start filming. Like I said before, he is amazing.
I can’t wait to see our wedding video, I know that it’s going to be awesome!
