Good music, nice large dance floor, great crowd, excellent instructors. Snacks in the other room if you want to take a break and socialize. It’s a lot of fun!

This is by far one of the best floors to dance on in the bay area. Beautiful venue for West Coast Swing (any dance really, but 4^th Sundays are for WCS) and Mike Pyle does a great job with the music. Entry is $ 10 and $ 4 more if you want to do the lesson — a bargain. It’s very popular but thankfully the floor is large so you’re not packed in like sardines. I only wish they had a late night burger joint next door…

The venue is beautiful and quite large on the main floor, there is another dance floor on the 2^nd floor. Women’s bathrooms are on the 2^nd floor. They offer free snacks and drinks in the hallway, outside of the dance. Parking can get full in the parking lot, so have to look for street parking, at that time, it is free. Place gets warm in the summer. Love the dance floor, fast and large. Mike Pyle’s West Coast Swing dance, WCS is well attended, over 100 dancers attend.

Mike Pyle’s Lakeside Swing Dance, is the fourth Sunday of every month at Lake Merritt Dance Center.
