Business Owner

Liz Dunning Design and Woodworking was born of working in the furniture and cabinetry industry.

Starting with a degree in furniture design from California College of the Arts, I then interned with Union Studio, went on to work in a production cabinet shop. Went back to assisting one-​man-​shop, cabinet and furniture makers, who do both design and build. All the while maintaining my own studio in a wood shop and taking on side projects.

I fabricate as well as design. I take projects that utilize either or both skill sets, design and/​or fabrication. I work closely with a network of friends and colleagues that can do all the things I don’t, such as sign painting or carving, laser engraving, metal working, upholstery etc. I design and/​or build for homes, retail and/​or office spaces.
