Specialties
I specialize in difficult situations. Many of my clients are referred to me by other career coaches who were unsuccessful with a client.
I also have clients who, to achieve career success, also need help with personal issues: procrastination, self-esteem, a relationship, etc.
I also have clients in high-level jobs: college presidents, senior executives, etc whose problems are often complex.
Despite my challenging clientele, for two decades now, in satisfaction surveys, I continue to enjoy a 96% client satisfaction rate.
Finally, I love my work. It is an honor to help people succeed in their work and personal lives.
Meet the Business Owner
Marty N.
Business Owner
U.S. News & World Report called Nemko, «Career coach extraordinaire.»
The San Francisco Bay Guardian, on its cover, called him, «The Bay Area’s Best Career Coach.»
He holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of California Berkeley and subsequently taught there.
He was career columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle for three years and the Los Angeles Times for six years.
He is the regular career expert on KGO-AM’s Ronn Owens Show, one of the most listened-to radio shows in California.
He is in his 24th year as host of «Work with Marty Nemko» on a National Public Radio station in San Francisco, in which he does three-minute career makeovers: people call in, usually unsure of what they want to do careerwise, and he generates career ideas and other next steps for the caller.
