Specialties
I assist people who have muscular tightness, limitations in motion, or pain and those that want to improve performance in their life, work, recreational, and sport activities. This is accomplished through techniques that systematically re-balance the neurologic and muscular systems. The majority of these techniques are drawn from Muscle Activation Techniques® [www.muscleactivation.com] and Z-Health Performance Solutions® [www.zhealth.net]. Muscles become tight and inhibited when physical activities cause pain, or your body has been traumatized by, injury, surgery, overuse, or life events. This is how the body protects itself from further pain or damage. However, this protection also causes restricted movement and the use of other muscles to compensate for the inhibited ones. Since the compensating muscles are not specifically designed to perform that function, this can lead to further injury and pain. So rather than treating the tightness, this work focuses on the underlying cause.
