I took my car to Melrose Body Shop after I got into an accident. I was really traumatized and shaken up, but Melrose staff really took care of me and of course, my car! Kevin in particular was very friendly and helpful. I got my car back at a timely manner and it’s like brand new. I would totally come back again; although I hope I don’t get into another car accident…

I just moved back to the Bay area, and other than a Barber and a Dentist and a good Sushi place. one of the hardest things to find when re locating is a good body shop. especially for me because I am extemely picky about all of these. I am a car fanatic.
These people are very nice to deal with, and have a nice large clean shop, with what looks to be a lot of new equipment ‚(I know they also have 2 shops in soma/​san francisco, so they are experienced in the trade) I think this is their newest. Ive had a couple motorcycle items painted here and turned out fine.
Most recently I had an accident in my 5 series BMW and recieved excellent service, They communicated well with me and my insurance company and assisted me in every way they could to help the claim go well, I felt they were on my side as a customer.
I feel their prices are right in line if not some what cheaper than most reputable shops in the bay area.
I will most definately be using them again, and would recomend them to any friend.

I messed up the bumper on my car, so I bought a new one from National Auto Parts. Of course, it came unpainted, but these guys took care of that for me. They did a perfect job of finding the right paint to match the paint of my car. I came back two days later to pick up the painted bumper, haven decided that I was going to replace the broken bumper myself. But when I realized that the job was a lot tougher than I expected, I drove back down to them, and they helped me replace it for a small fee. Good as new in no time!

I took my car here after having it stolen and some damage done to it. All I can say is Kevin was the most dedicated person I’ve ever experienced at a shop. He made sure I got everything penny deserved from the insurance company and made sure they didn’t short me. He even went so far as to text me updates during the process. I was extremely pleased by Kevin and the shop and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Took my M45 here to do a custom paint job. Kevin helped me picked a color and patiently explained all the options and prices.
Few days later I came to pick my car. The white pearl came out really smooth and glossy. Very good quality paint job and customer service. Worth every penny.

Friendly, care, don’t worry, this is my opinion.
I recommended that if you want a car body damage repair services. Go there, you’ll get the best result.
My Nissan Rogue was rear ended and I went to Melrose Body Shop to repair my car. I was referred there by my friend who got some work done there. I got in touch with Kevin, and he took care of everything for me. The car came out great and I really appreciate their work.

5 Star hands down!
I scratched my door really bad about a year ago and didn’t get around to fixing it until recently. It started to rust and I thought it was going to be expensive and a pain for it to be fixed. I dropped off my car to Kevin and he said he would take care of it for me. And he did! He was very helpful and courteous and had my car back to me within 2 days. I was extremely impressed because my car looked brand new! The paint job was also done really well!
Nice staff, great service, and amazing outcome! I will definitely think about Melrose Body Shop next time I need body work done. Highly recommend this place!

I found Melrose Autobdy in Oakland online as I needed someone to fix my door again…
I called and Kevin answered the phone and told me to bring in my car at my convenience. I took in later that day and the guys worked on my car on the spot.
After about 45min, they were alble to fix the driver side door/​window.
I would recommend these guys if you need work done to your car.

Five stars because they WERE a fine place. My wife just drove by there Feb. 6, 2012, and they appear to be closed for good. And the phone is out of service, too, though their website is still up. They were a good shop…

I am probably doing a disservice to myself by writing this review, as it may lead to more patrons at this body shop. Why am I still writing this? They definitely deserve a positive review and a maximum rating.
Kathy and Steve are both professional and friendly. I have been to a couple other body shops in the east bay and had no idea that an honest body shop that does great work still exists!
Kathy kept me up to date on the repairs and the schedule. She was a pleasure to work with and just an all around nice person.
Steve noticed some damages on my car after i dropped it off and even ordered the parts to get it taken care of before I went to pick up my car.
When i went to pick up my car, I found that they had done exceptional work. At the previous body shops that I went to, I got sub-​par work and horrible customer service.
I would definitely recommend this shop to all my friends and family.

I took my car into Melrose Body as they were the shop that AAA recommended that I use after sustaining some body damage in a parking lot collision.
I would absolutely use this shop again and I recommend it to others.
Everyone there was super nice, Kathy offered me coffee; when I said I was a tea drinker, she immediately produced tea bags.
I was told to expect a half hour wait while my car was assessed. I expected to be bored and brought a book… didn’t need it as I spent the waiting time cracking up with Kathy in the office.
I also decided to have my cracked windshield repaired. Kathy called AAA for me, which was awesome. Mostly the reason that I had been driving around with a cracked windshield for 12 months is that I couldn’t be bothered to call AAA myself.
The shop is very clean, they kept me updated by e-​mail on the status of the repair and even touched up an unrelated scrape on my rear bumper.
As I was a AAA customer, AAA arranged with Hertz to both bring me a rental car and pick it up at Melrose, saving me some time and hassle. Kathy said usually a customer has to pick up their own car, but certainly they could try to work out a pick up/​drop off with AAA.
I’d never had to go to a body shop before, and while I hope to remain collision free, it’s nice to know a good body shop.
