I was stood up for an on site meeting with tyson Schroeder and then was told by him that I would be receiving a bid for my job. He never called me nor contacted me in any way to inform me he could not handle my work. I lost several months waiting for him and eventually concluded due to his lack of responsiveness that he was not in a position to do my work. Frustrating!

Redux recently did seismic work at my new home. He and his crew were fast and responsive. They got the work done cleanly and were always available for questions. I called them back for the seismic work as I’d had foundation(a complete tear out and replace), and roof work done at two other properties by Tyson’s crew and was always very pleased. They’ll be the first people I call for my next project.

Tyson and his team creatively solved a couple of significant drainage issues on my property this winter. Rather than presenting the most expensive option first(and there were many expensive options!), Tyson listened to my concerns and then suggested a phased approach — to be measured after the rains arrived — which I could implement as needed. Tyson was easy to work with, and invested the time to explain each phase. His estimate was very clear with respect to deliverables. When the work started, everyone showed up on time, and the job was completed on time and on budget. Here’s what I like about Tyson: at one point in the project, the crew made a mistake, which became apparent after the first rain storm. Tyson came to my house within a few hours, assessed the situation, and then re-did the work the next day. Problem solved, and without additional charges. Secondly, he identified and fixed two additional sources of water at very little to no charge — problems I’d been trying to figure out for years. I have a few additional phases of work to do next year(different areas of my property). Tyson will be the first person I call to do the job.

My HOA hired Tyson at Redux C+D to do some work on one of our buildings in the fall, and the results were great. We had a problem with water seeping into a below-ground garage through the building’s concrete wall, possibly from a patio on the backside of the building. Instead of recommending an expensive excavation and drainage installation solution as our first try, he did some much less expensive sealing, paving, and regrading so we could first see how that held up before moving on to more expensive and risky solutions. This was exactly the right call; when the rains started back up again, no more seepage. Tyson was also a pleasure to work with — professional, reliable and to the point.

Tyson and his crew at Redux C+D are as good as it gets! We needed wheelchair accessibility into our home. We had strong recommendation from a trusted source inside the accessibility community. The project involved concrete and wood work. Tyson worked with us to provide thoughtful solutions to our needs. They started promptly and completed the job quickly. This project provided a better quality of life for us and Tyson was absolutely the person to help us get there! I have seen the other reviews that he has received and I can tell you I believe them because I had the same experience. I have no hesitation to recommend Tyson for your project. Thank you Tyson!

Tyson Schroeder of Redux C+D was recommended to me by an excellent contractor friend who had done many projects at my house. My friend had retired and was referring all of his old clients to Redux. I had a major drainage issue that was flooding a closet in my below grade study. We found it the day before we were going out of town for a week. I called Tyson and explained the issue, and he adjusted his schedule to come to my house at 9AM the next day. After showing up right on time, he examined our foundation and drainage system for almost 45 minutes. He couldn’t find any leaks or issues, so he continued by looking at our air conditioner. He concluded that the drain line was clogged and was dripping water on the floor, which was seeping into the closet. I called our HVAC person, and he came and fixed the problem in an hour, well before we had to get on the plane. When we got home, everything was bone dry. I was extremely impressed with Tyson’s thoroughness, as well as with his ingenuity in diagnosing exactly what was wrong. Moreover, he refused to accept any payment, although I offered to pay him for his time at his going rate. So, while Redux has not done a project at my house, I can say that Tyson is knowledgeable and honest, and that he will certainly get our next construction project.

We had earthquake retrofit work done for an apartment building in the city of Alameda. I interviewed several contractors for the work, but decided to go with Redux C+D because the bid outlined in detail the tasks and associated costs, based on the structural engineer’s plans. There were no surprises at the end of the project with added costs. I’ve heard from others that their earthquake retrofit projects took much longer than estimated. I can say that Tyson was very accurate in his estimation. He finished right on time even with the few snags we ran into along the way, whether it was with city requirements, or with the original framing of the building, or with scheduling of special inspections, Tyson found solutions to each issue. And he kept me informed! The crew that worked on our project were very personable, when I dropped in from time to time. It was obvious that they were very experienced because they worked lightning speed. I also appreciated that they covered/protected my new floors. I would definitely use Redux C+D for future projects, and highly recommend them for your earthquake retrofit project.
