Best. Salon. Ever. I’ve been going here for months, and have had my nails done by Vanessa, Tina, Csi (pronounced like the letter G), and Cathy, and all of them do great work! You will never see more natural looking acrylic nails!

Honestly this is the best relaxing ambience i have experienced by far at any nail salon. The owner is so sweet and very attentive to every customer and i really love that about her (Hugs). It makes you feel special Also the staff here do not speak to each other so they provide you their utmost devoted attention which ladies we know that its pretty rare to find at nail salons!

Honestly, the people that work here are super friendly. And I love that about Sassy. It’s the primary reason I tend to go to this salon. I also appreciate the little neck massage I get when I get my nails done because I carry a lot of stress up there.
I went with my best friend and another friend of ours for manis. I got a fun, hot pink to brighten up the dark days of winter. It was a quick visit since I didn’t get gel/​shellac.
It’s a very clean salon also. You can see that they take very good care of each station. The down side was that my nails seemed to never dry. Almost an hour later, I was smudged my nail trying to scratch my head. While I paid a low cost for my manicure, it was depressing to ruin it within the same day.
The shellac from there lasts about a week and a half also. Not as long as other places I’ve been but also better than a standard manicure. Go there for a manicure and get clear polish. Don’t get color.

Sassy Nails is my go-​to nail shop. They are warm, welcoming, and give the best massage (which is really why I spend money on nails!).

The best eye brow wax ever… really! They take their time, make you feel pampered and relaxed… love the pedicures… this is a great business. Also far enough up on Piedmont that parking is rarely an issue.

If you need any waxing done, do it with Vanessa. She’s incredibly sweet, charming and so so so funny! She did an amazing job despite my constant laughter from her delightful stories. She doesn’t make things awkward as she acts incredibly professional. I will not get any waxing job done anywhere else for as long as she’s working! Thanks Vanessa!

There are lots of nail salons on Piedmont Ave. and my go to is Sassy Nails. They are very attentive, love the massage chairs, and they definitely give a great foot massage. Also, when you get a manicure they give you a neck and arm massage.
It does get busy though so make sure you either make an appointment or go there right when they open.

When I lived in the Bay Area, I went to Vanessa for my eyebrow wax. My eyebrows were always on point thanks to her.
The ladies at Sassy Nails give superb massages with each service. A lot of nail salons don’t have their massage technique down, but Sassy Nails does. From time to time, the technician that works on me extends the massage + pair that with their incredible massage chairs = absolute heaven. Hands down my favorite place to get pedicures.

First time here for manicure. Anh did a great job for me. She does detailed and clean job. She also gives a real good massage not just rubbing ;)
Good experience

I just came from here and I really didn’t like their service they gave. I asked for white and the lady kept giving me different colors like no I want white. And then the lady asked me after for $ 2 something something and I was like ok but I thought I was still getting the acrylic paint. But no the lady ended up just painting my nail with regular nail polish and that’s not what I want at all. And then I was like forget it already I’ll just wait for another time. Because the whole point of me getting my acrylics on is to make sure they don’t come off and while it was drying it messed up 2 times so I’m for sure not going back

Won’t be back for 3 reasons
1. I was seated. Then someone who arrived after me got attended before me. I continued to wait for another 5−7min
2. When I was finally greeted she went to town on my nails without asking my preference. She cut my toe nails so low they hurt. I was able to stop her half way through but, they hurt.
3. It’s a sweat shop. It’s not well ventilated & the girl doing my nails was not engaged with my pedi. She continued to look around and half assed scrub my feet.
NOT returning to this «4 star» place.
All the ladies around received amazing treatment with massages on their feet, engaged conversations etc. I don’t know what this girls problem was but she made my visit extremely unpleasant.
Not to mention it’s awkward to walk into an establishment that’s super packed, to ask for service & to holler across the room to see if they can squeeze more people in. Like… where’s the etiquette.

Best nail salon experience I have had in my life. In fact, this fabulous experience makes me hesitant to ever go back to another nail salon because I know I will feel dissatisfied, comparing it to this place.
Three wonderful women worked on my finger nails and toe nails. I told them I had to get it all done in a hurry, so they had one person working on my hands and one person working on my feet at all times. They treated me so kindly, asking me how my day was going and listening. They also gave me lovely massages. I have never experienced service anywhere near this wonderful at any other nail salon. The crazy thing is that, when I tried to leave a big tip because I felt so grateful for the extraordinary service, the staff here all seemed shocked and uncomfortable – and they even tried to give the tip back to me!
Oh, and also, my nails look GREAT and they have lasted way longer than jell/​acrylic nails I have gotten in the past lasted. Wow wow wow. I will try to come back here when (if ever!) the manicure and pedicure wear off.

Let me start off by saying I called and made an appointment for a wax. I scheduled the appointment for 1:30 pm, I showed up at 1:20 pm ten minutes early! A gentleman told me to take a seat and wait, cool I said because I showed up early. Well 1:30 comes along and I realized that there were other ladies waiting to get waxed, so there is about 5 ladies ahead of me.
I got a little annoyed with this place, because I called to make an appointment! So here I am patiently waiting for my turn. I observed that they had a price list for waxing and saw that first time customers get 20% off. I was a little excited, because I love any discount I can receive. It is finally my turn to get waxed I looked at the time and saw that it was 2:34pm. One hour and 4 minutes after my appointment.
I met Vanessa the esthetician, she was very friendly, and loved to talk. Her skills on waxing were horrible, wax was getting everywhere, she pulled and tugged, it was very painful. She put baby oil on my skin which is horrible because it clogs the skin. I saw a little bit of hairs left, I asked about about getting it tweezed she said she didn’t do that.
She is not a very knowledgeable esthetician! I ended up paying 54 dollars for a wax. This place wasted my time and money. They didn’t even honor the 20% discount. I will not be coming back!

Really nice people here & they do an awesome job. I got coffee across the street & decided to come here for a mani/​pedi while I waited for my daughter. Great decision! My pedi & gel mani come out nice. Super sweet mom/​daughter pair worked on my nails. I will definitely be back.

VICKY is a perfectionist. No one else will do my nails. My gel manicure is flawless :)

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Stumbled upon this place on a weekend and it was easy to get a walk in pedicure. Prices are fair and the shop is tidy and clean.

I had a very disappointing experience at Sassy on the weekend.
First of all, I made an appointment. When I got there, they were extremely busy so I waited 20mins. I wanted a mani/​pedi. The pedi was good. My feet came out looking very pretty. The reason I chose this place was due to all the positive reviews and the comments regarding how great the foot massage was. Mine was terrible. She spent most of the massage on knees when all I really wanted was for her rub my feet. I tried asking if she would focus on my feet but she said something I didn’t quite understand and continued to massage my knees.
My mani was brutal. The lady doing it had complained that it was so busy she hadn’t even had lunch (and it was mid-​afternoon). As more and more women walked in, instead of telling them they were too busy they kept saying pick a color. I watched so many people walk out or start complaining due to the long wait. Because of this, my manicure suffered as they rushed so they could get the next person in.
Tip for the owner: don’t compromise the service of your current customers for the ones walking in afterwards. Tell them your busy and to come back in an hour. We all appreciate honesty and having our expectations managed correctly.
I’d like a new, free manicure to make up for the crappy one I received this weekend. It’s already chipping. They didn’t even put on a top coat.

I’ve been going to Sassy’s on and off for the last five years but have been more consistent both with manicure and pedicures the last year and a half.
Anna is my gal! She has been doing my gel manicure consistently for the last year and a half; basically since I gave up on acrylic nails. She is sweet and funny! Gives great massages and is consistent with her work. She even remembers your preference.
When I do get pedicures (not as often as my gel manicures), I have been enjoying Ann. She is sweet and always smiles — very pleasant!
Vanessa, the manager of the place, is funny! And super sweet! She does my eyebrow waxing and if Anna is not around, I completely trust Vanessa to do my nails too.
I love this place. And they really value loyal customers. I’ve had bad days that they’ve brightened.
Give them a chance. Once you get to know them, and they get to know you, they are sweethearts and tend to treat you like family =)

My visit was fine. It started out a little awkward because I was late for my appointment, but according to my friend who was there waiting for me, all the spa chairs were taken anyway, so we may have had to wait regardless. The awkward part was when I finally arrived (about 15 minutes late), the ladies knew we had an appt, but there was a lot of shouting in Vietnamese from the front to the back of the salon to see if anyone was free to do my pedi… and of course, all the other clients turned and stared at me to see what the fuss was about. Awkward.
But once settled in the spa chair, my pedi was quite nice. I didn’t get her name, but she definitely massaged my legs (and even my kneecap) and feet pretty well. so well, I was afraid she was going to rub the fake tan off lol. If they do anything different at this salon, it’s definitely the long massages. It wasn’t a quick lackluster once-​over with lotion, she really used some pressure (which kinda hurt my bony shins, but heavenly for my feet!).
The polish job was pretty standard. My mani was done by a different lady, but again, she really spent some time on those massages. I had on a sweater so I pulled the sleeves up to my elbow, which is sufficient from previous experience, but not here. The lady massaged my forearms and even my upper arms/​shoulders on top of my sweater! Good thing I wasn’t wearing anything I didn’t care to get lotion on, but she probably should’ve asked first. My whole visit took about 1.5 hours.
Overall, decent mani/​pedi. $ 27 for the combination isn’t bad, and considering the long massages, it might be worth coming here!

This place always makes me happy. Not once have I not smiled coming or going.
Every single lady knows what they are doing. Not only are they professional they are fun!
You can’t go wrong. The massage at the end is super, for such petite women.
