Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
«You want to run a marathon?»
It was those very words that hatched the idea for See Jane Run. In 2000, Lori Shannon left her high tech career to launch an athletic apparel and shoe company, «See Jane Run «It was a vision she had since running her first marathon at age 28. She didn’t look like the typical marathoner at 5’3 and size 16, yet she had the desire and ability to complete it. In her search for gear, she found there were limited options for women who did not have the typical runner’s body.
Her mission was to provide a supportive environment where women of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels would be inspired to be fit through apparel/shoes, training, events and community outreach.
Since opening the first store, See Jane Run now operates 4 stores, an online business, and hosts all women triathlon and running events. She’s won entrepreneur of the year awards and has been featured in USA Today, SF Chronicle, Runner’s World and many others.
