So glad Therapy has joined the neighborhood. Love their taste, never pretentious, prices are fair. The owner and the manager are both a pleasure to deal with. Support them!

The perfect store when you need an original and authentic gift, and you can buy the card here too. Unique furniture, home décor, and so many interesting pieces! Some fantastic mid century modern furniture and accessories, as well as contemporary furniture that meshes perfectly with the vintage stuff. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and when we were loading a sofa, I was surprised to find out that it was the owner helping me lift it into the van! I love this place!

I experienced one of the kindest moments of my life tonight at Therapy on MacArthur. I came in with my two children, both under the age of 4, to look for some last minute gifts for my husband, and instantly my kids started touching everything and picking up breakable items(of course). I attempted to keep them in control, when the owner of the company came over, and in hand he had a cardboard box and pens. He instantly connected with my kids, and started doing imaginary play with them, on the ground, in the middle of his store. I was able to do the shopping I needed, and then he went into the back of the store, and brought out a soft blanket, put it on the ground, and started reading books to my 2 year old! I could NOTBELIEVEIT! Both my kids were totally mezmorized, and enamored with this male stranger. I didn’t even know what to say, as I was completely taken aback by his genuine kindness and integrity. Here is the best part, after I bought my purchases, he sent us home with the toys and books from the store, probably worth $ 40 in value, for free! I just saying ‘thank you, thank you’, but actually, I think it was the kindest thing anyone has ever done, or been, to me. He had absolutely no reason so connect with us, but he did, and was purely interested in hangin with my kids. My heart still feels warm. Human kindness is so important.

Lots of funky home décor and great looking sofa /couches. When I looked at the prices I was surprised at how reasonable they were, especially for the style. Makes me want to buy a new sofa.

On our way back to our cars after brunch today, Diane and I saw this shop and decided to check it out. It is full of wonderful and interesting things. I saw greeting cards and boxes of holiday cards, a variety of socks and some cool looking t-shirts w/unusual designs. There were large leather handbags. The furniture on display is made by them. It has a nice, solid retro look. Clever and attractive throw pillows are displayed on the couches and chairs. There’s an assortment of quirky and unique things for walls and general décor. The lovely young woman behind the counter explained that this was a mom and pop concern that had been in business for 27 years, though not, I gather in this location. It’s been open here three months. It’s a lovely store, well worth a wander. Though I didn’t buy anything today it’s quite likely I will in the future when I’m in the neighborhood.

What agin store with a giant circus side show poster and a Ten-O-Win wheel on the walls and all kinds of clever trinkets, collectibles and cards to buy. A major addition to the neighborhood.

Go get yourself some THERAPY! I am a therapist… so I know some good therapy when I get it… and boy the healing, I mean the shopping here is like a day at the sensory carnival. Every inch has something unusual, fun, beautiful, reclaimed, kinetic, arty, zany, curious, silly, anthropological, outrageous and aromatic. The staff are lovely, attentive, and friendly folks. No insurance needed. You’ll feel better the moment you set foot in this newest and welcome addiiton to the Laurel.
