A huge thanks to Jose and his team. We had a very large redwood fall on the corner of our house, blocking our neighbor’s driveway. I found Jose on Unilocal and he arrived at our house within 30 minutes, gave us a great quote and returned with a crew within the hour. The work was done efficiently, and the clean up was great (no branches or wood chips left in the driveway, walkway or street). Jose promptly emailed me our receipt and also returned on the next day to finish up a few items. His crew was on time, polite and quick.
I highly recommend Jose and his team!

Tip top. Just had Jose trim 7 juniper trees. All very neat tidy and fairly priced. Very firendly crew, very understanding when asked to make way for cars using driveway. All in all, A+.

incredible work, and so fast! Jose actually answered the phone when I called, even though it was late at night. He then made an appointment to come give me a quote for a stump removal the next morning, and arrived exactly on time! The quote he gave me was considerably less than another quote I had received, so when I said yes, he scheduled it for a few hours later. He and his helper again arrived on time, and were done within an hour. Very impressive!!! He was knowledgeable about trees, and very impressive. Definitely recommend him to anyone.

Jose Vega and his crew did an awesome job on a large yard with multiple trees and years of bamboo growth. His quote was the most reasonable of others we met with and also the most professional. He outlined with a laser pointer all the trimming that would be done with specific recommendations on each tree. On the day of the work, his crew was prompt and friendly. They did a fantastic job trimming all the trees back from the power lines and also thinning out years of bamboo in a day. They also did a great job cleaning up after everything was cut down. We will definitely be calling Vega’s Tree Services again!

Vega’s Tree Service was the most responsive in all regards. From a quick call back, to prompt estimate appointment and written estimate. Jose looked at my trees, the direction of their lean and overall condition to give us specific recommendations on what to do. The crew was on time and efficiently removed 3 large Ponderosa Pines from our property.
Pricing was good, less than many of the other services we contacted. Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Had Jose remove a tree of mine that had some of its branches fall on the electrical drop and were presenting a hazard. Jose and his crew did an awesome job of quickly and safely removing the tree and cleaned the place up before they left. Jose kept good communication and showed up when he said he would. Will use him and his crew next time I need tree service.

Jose Vega came out to do an estimate on trimming my scraggly Bottle-​brush tree. He was very knowledgeable and reasonable with price so we set a date. He came punctually on that day with his two helpers and they did the bast job on that tree in the past 20 years! It really looks manicured now and shaped. Very happy with the work they did and they cleaned up everything before they left. I would highly recommend Jose Vega!

I highly recommend Vega’s Tree Service. We’ve been putting off cutting down our big pine tree as the estimates were so high. Jose gave us a more than reasonable estimate. He came on time, set up quickly and did a great job. He even cleaned off my neighbors garage roof that was covered in pine needles. I was impressed he remained on site and supervised his staff, rather than set up and leave for another job. I’m looking forward to our next yard or tree project and calling Jose.

Jose Vega is awesome! I called him for a quote for some tree removal and he was able to come out the very same day. I had about 7 very large camellias that needed to go. Jose gave me an extremely reasonable price and since my job was small he was actually able to send a small crew to take care of the job the next morning. His crew was fast and courteous! I asked them to leave me some firewood and they cut some up for me on the spot.
Vega is unquestionably now my go to for regular tree maintenance, and anything else tree related.

Jose Vega and his team did a wonderful job pruning our two enormous palm trees… he and his crew were very professional, respectful, worked quickly and efficiently, and charged a very reasonable rate (compared to the other, much higher, estimates we obtained). Jose Vega and his crew did a great job on cutting down an acacia tree in our backyard. They were prompt, good about returning phone calls and cleaned up after themselves. Their rates were very reasonable. I will be calling them again for future tree work.

Jose and his crew trimmed two ~50 foot redwoods for us and removed one ~25 foot tree. For the initial meeting he was prompt and gave a competitive price that included a discount for doing all the work together. The next saturday he and two colleagues came and made quick work. They climbed all the way up the redwoods with an idling chainsaw hanging from their belts. To think I briefly considered trying to do this myself. They took all the material away and came back the following monday and grinded up the stump of the tree that was removed.

Vega’s Tree Service saved me (and my backyard fence) again! Several super thick, gnarled and intrusive ivy roots (branches) had begun to literally push several sections of my fence
in :(
Jose came by promptly after my call to him and scheduled an appointment to remove the scary ivy branches that were damaging my fence. Unfortunately the apartment complex behind me would not work with me to fix the ivy problem between our two properties, but Vega’s Tree Service had no trouble removing several slats of my fence to get to the ivy and cut it out from my side.
Vega’s was on time, got right to work and didn’t wrap up until those nasty, thick branches were gone!

Jose and his crew came out last Saturday to trim my 200yr old oak tree branches that extended over my roof. These branches were 16″ in diameter and very heavy, but Jose rigged up an almost artistic system of ropes and pullies that suspended the giant sections of cut branches over the roof and with the help of his other crew, traversed the suspended pieces over my entire roof and gracefully to the ground.
These guys are more than tree trimmers, they are artistic arborists. Great work, good prices and genuinely nice people.
Oh, and if you are wondering if the leave a mess… Well, I live in Montclair, and my house is surrounded by many old oak trees that drop leaves constantly. Jose and his crew left my entire property without a leaf or branch behind. Don’t hesitate to call them, and be confident that they will do a great job at a good price with a great attitude.

Vega’s Tree Service just finished fixing the problem PG&E created. I have power lines easement in the back yard with redwood and madrone in the easement. PG&E would only trim portions of these trees which made them miss balanced and leaning over the house. No amount of convincing made PG&E to take care of this issue.
Within 3 days of my initial call Jose and his company trimmed and reshaped both trees. The actual work was completed in one day. They were on time, organized, and professional. Price was fair as well. No complaints whatsoever.

I have had Jose with Vega’s Tree Service out to my home in the Oakland Hills twice now to do work. Both times he came the same day I called him to provide my wife and I a bid for the work. Both times his price was very competitive against two other bids. Both times he was able to come out within two days to complete the work. He and his crew of two other men showed up exactly on time, were friendly and curious to both my wife and I, worked very hard in our very steep yard, cleaned up after themselves and left me delighted with the the work. We have had them out to do everything from simple tree pruning to tree and stump removal. I could not be happier with their work.

I chose Jose Vega from among 3 other companies because he answered his phone, showed up on time for the estimate, was SUPER nice and respectful, and did a great job explaining what he’d do. We have 2 humongous trees that hadn’t been cared for in over 10 years along with a neighbor’s 2 neglected trees that were hanging over our roof. Jose explained the danger of it, pointed out big branches that were dead that we hadn’t noticed. The other companies I got estimates from weren’t as thorough in their estimate (Jose itemized each tree so we could see what we could afford to do) and the other companies didn’t hide their annoyance that they’d have to go up and down stairs to get to the yard. No problem for Jose!
He and his crew were on time and worked hard all day. They took extra care to cover our skylight with wood so falling branches wouldn’t damage them. They cleaned up well, including our roof and our neighbor’s backyard. Jose was also so kind to speak with our neighbor and make sure he was satisfied with the tree limbs hanging over his yard.
We will definitely hire Vega’s Tree Services in the future.

Absolutely THE BEST Service! Reasonably priced, exceptionally mindful of property and also cleans neighbors’ property of leaves that have blown! We had them do extensive pruning on a large pine tree in front and several misc. trees trimmed in the rear yard, they did a superb job on ALL and cleaned completely around all the areas! I will definitely contact them again and HIGHLY recommend them. VERY reputable.

I called Jose and he quickly came by to check out my poor tree. He was very attentive and caring with the tree showing it the respect that it deserved.
Jose quoted me a great price and showed up on time with a very professional and equally attentive crew. They were very careful of my garden and left my yard cleaner than they found it.
