Excellent customer service from this shop, especially from Maurice!
On March 19^th I brought my car in to have the passenger window repaired (needed a glass replacement from a break-​in). Since my insurance would be covering most of the costs for the repairs, I was happy to let them handle the particulars. Much to my surprise, the Service Manager, Maurice, called me during each step of the repair process and kept me informed on updates. He notified me when the adjustment was made, approved and paid. Even when my insurance provider shuffled their feet, he was very patient and professional. I finally picked up my car on April 19^th. #thanksinsurance #not #sheesh

I have never encountered such good service at any shop in the East Bay. I will never go to another shop and I will recommend Weatherfords after this very positive experience working with Maurice.

My v12 was driven there from the dealer in high speed fashion. The manager told me all the employees were BMW certified. I counted on one hand how many actually spoke English. They painted my hood but never removed it from the body. I looked at the lip of the hood where it touches the bumper and it was not painted. Drip lines on the trunk and side quarter. I brought all of this to the manager’s attention. He got defensive and didn’t want to re-​paint the car until I told him I’d call corporate. He changed his tune and agreed. Car was painted proper with the exception of misaligned badge model on the trunk a few other careless mistakes. Bottom line, bring your car here if it’s a lease or you don’t really pay attention to details. Don’t bring your car here if you are an enthusiast.

My car was hit by a drunk driver and AAA was taking care of the repair costs, after going to 5 body shops for estimates I finally found the one, which was here at weatherford bmw auto body. My guy here was Maurice, very knowledgeable and polite, and was super patient with me texting him every single day about how soon will the car get done. Ive never had great service like this place. To cut to the chase, this is a 5 Star shop, 5 Star service, 5 Star work and 5 star rating overall, if I could give more than 5 Stars, believe me I would. Thanks to Maurice and weatherford bmw.

These guys are the best. Frank has helped me keep my car in great condition for over a decade and Maurice has been amazing also over the years! Regina who works at the front desk balances being a good listener, with professionalism and kindness, and efficiency in a way that makes me every customer feel well taken care of. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the folks at Weatherford BMW Body Shop. They are knowledgeable, honest, professional, kind, fair and really good at what they do to repair BMWs. Because of Maurice and the whole team my car is safe, and always repaired to BMW standards. Made an appt for repair estimate. We arrived on time and they were ready for us when we got there. (no waiting!) Estimate only took 15 mins and Maurice was detailed in his explanation of damage and gave us an itemized printout of all that was to be done. He was a professional I was glad to have met him.

We have been a BMW customer for over 10 years in the East Coast, MD and we just moved to the east bay area. My wife’s BMW X5 was involved in a collision and we brought it to Weatherford BMW for the repairs. They did beyond the extraordinary and the vehicle looks flawless. Weatherford BMW superseded our expectations not only on their craftsmanship but also in their customer service.

Maurice is the man! Excellent customer service. Whenever I needed an update on the status of my car or before any extra charges were added, he always made sure to give me a call beforehand.

Second repair done in this shop and they are incredibly slow. Can you imagine paint taking nearly 3 weeks, the 5 days it sat waiting for the adjuster to inspect. Zero interest in your concern. If this was a body repair I could understand but it’s paint and yet weeks upon weeks. Additionally, no updates provided unless you call them. Avoid Weatherford, for service (see my review). Avoid Weatherford for Sales, the man who sold me my last is gone and the whole overall experience leaves very little to be desired. I’m going to continue to do my business with Fremont BMW where I got my new car, better overall experience thus far.

Props to Maurice and Ricardo for helping to fix my ashtray! They did a great job getting it back in after I couldn’t figure out how to get the darn thing to stick. Maurice was really understanding when I said I had to go run some errands, and would email me the quote later at my request. Great people!

Beyond my expectations! I chose Weatherford Bmw collision even though it wasn’t on my insurance’s network.
Excellent body and glass job. Maurice was at all times very helpful and communicative and even the lady who answered the phone when he wasn’t there, very nice and helpful.

Weatherford BMW collision center is by far the best autobody experience I have ever had. Weatherford BMW is 1 of 3 body shops in North America who is certified directly through BMW of North America. Other shops claim they are authorized BMW repair centers but there is a huge difference between certified and authorized. Everyone that was involved in the repair of my car was BMW certified. When owning a BMW you want the best. If you want the best repair than I suggest Weatherford BMW.
I originally took my car to Autobahn Collision in Belmont, California because they told me they were an authorized BMW repair center. When they went over the details regarding the repair (bent strut tower) they stated that the engine and transmission would HAVE to be removed in order to be complete the repair. Then they told me they didn’t have the Chassis rack because it’s specific to BMW models. I said to myself, «If you are an authorized BMW shop, why don’t you have these tools readily available?». They had no answer. I told Autobahn collision to hold off and I went home and did some research. After some googling and Internet searching I quickly learned the difference between authorized and certified. This is when I found Weatherford BMW collision center of Oakland.
My cats engine and transmission did not need to be removed because they knew official BMW repair Instructions. The repair bill went from $ 16,xxx to $ 9,xxx. Insurance paid so money wasn’t an issue but removing my engine and transmission was my biggest worry… Sometimes things aren’t the same after that extensive of a repair. Within about two weeks my car was completely repaired and drove just like new.
Ask for Frank, Maurice or Regina. If they are not available I’m sure you will receive superior service from anyone on their staff

I took my 1994 540i there for some minor body work about a year ago. The work was fine except for some minor flaws with the paint, which needed to be rubbed out.
But, the biggest problem for me was that they changed out my original phone that came with the car. Unfortunately, I did not notice it until several months later. The time lapse is due to the fact that I don’t use that phone anymore and the cord was hanging down between the seat and phone consul, so I did not become aware of it until I was cleaning the interior one day.
You need to understand that my car is in excellent shape and came equipped with everything and the phone was in perfect shape, including the cord. The cord that was changed out was frayed, like it had been sitting in a junk yard for years. When I finally went back to the shop, the guy in charge (Frank?) denied it. I was really pissed, but I could not do anything more at that point. And, since I did not use the analog phone anymore, I just let it go, but I will never take my care there again. They are not trustworthy. I am writing this now, because I just moved and I threw the cruddy phone away, which brought back that experience. BE AWARE. They are thieves.

My experiences at Weatherford BMW Body Shop are always very positive.
I find. the Manager, Frank Huff, very professional, courteous and polite, extremely knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. I find him most helpful and cooperative in resolving the issue at hand. I have dealt with him on numerous occasions and the experiences are always positive.
I have no hesitation to calling him with any question/​s I don’t understand. He
stands good with his commitments to me and his timelines are met as well.
I have been dealing with Weatherford BMW for 25 plus years, and recommend
them and Frank, Manager of the Body Shop, highly.
His office manager, Regina, is also most helpful, and she greets customers/​clients
beautifully. She, too, is a true asset to the Body Shop! She, too, has been
with Weatherford a long time, and knows her job and performs her tasks beautifully.
I recommend the Body Shop for the past and current performances.

The reason I am giving 5 stars to this place because of Maurice and Cheng.
I sent my 1 series last year to get my trunk repainted. The spoiler and the glue used to attached the spoiler damaged the new paint. The craftsmanship was a bit questionable for that visit.
Maurice helped me out tremendously after I sent my car back in last week to get the trunk repainted. The quality of the work this time is fantastic. Maurice recognized the paint job was an issue, and took care of it. It was a pleasure to work with him.
Cheng graciously drove me from and to the collision center. It was great talking to him and he was very friendly.
The two staffs have prompt me to write this review and they truly deserve the 5 stars.

I wish to preface that this review is only for the Weatherford BODY SHOP. This review does not reflect upon the service provided by the Service Center which has always provided me with excellent service.
This saga began in April 2013. I had water damage to the carpets in my car. My comprehensive insurance coverage approved the replacement of the carpets and I was in business to finally get the moldy carpet out of my car… or so I thought!
I took my car into the body shop to get a color match and order the new carpets. They told me that it would take six weeks for the carpet to arrive since it was being shipped from Germany. Okay… guess I just have to wait a while longer. After almost 3 months the carpet arrives and I bring my car into the shop for the long overdue makeover. Luckily before they were about to install the carpet, I asked to see it and to my bewilderment, the carpet appeared to be two different colors (the back piece a darker color than the front piece.) I did not want to believe that after waiting nearly 3 months, we got the wrong carpet so I asked them to open the rolls in case it was the way the nap laid but no such luck. The carpet was decidedly of two different colors.
So back to the drawing board to order another set of carpets of the right shade and another couple of months of waiting around. Then, I get the call that the carpet is here but guess what? It is the same deal as last time… two different colors!!! What??? Is this a sick joke? They tried to order the carpet for the third time but they were told there were no matching dye lots.
Up to this point, I could not blame the body shop for the carpet bungling so far. However, I had noticed that there was no enthusiasm or concerted effort put into expediting the carpet order since it was now six months later from my initial visit. There was no communication from the body shop; as if they had just swept me under the (carpet) rug. Nobody seemed interested in talking to my insurance company to coordinate things as the events transpired.
I called BMW USA and lodged my complaint about the incompetence and the outrageous delays and they said they would look into the matter. They would let the service manager at Weatherford know about this situation. I then got a call from Thomas, the service manager’s assistant about the problem with the carpet order. At this point, I am dealing with the Service division and not the Body shop center. Thomas was responsive and followed up which was markedly different treatment that I received from the Body shop.
After much ado about getting nowhere, Thomas informed me that because of the older model of my vehicle, there would be no way to get a matched set of carpets since they were from different dye lots. He offered the suggestion that I take the two different shades of carpet and have it dyed by someone they could recommend but that this would have to be done through the body shop and not the service center. He told me to call Frank, the body shop manager, and coordinate the dyeing/​installation of the carpet. I called Frank and got his voicemail. I left him a detailed message as to what happened and the suggestion that Thomas made and asked him to call me back. The call never came… the manager of the body shop did not even bother to call back.
By this time, I was thoroughly disgusted at how I was treated by the Body shop and their utter recalcitrance in working with my insurance company and following up with me. I decided to not pursue working with them for my carpet replacement since they couldn’t be bothered anyway. I stopped dealing with them and I called my insurance company to let them know that I will pursue another avenue. The insurance company has been much more accommodating and far more pleasant to deal with than the service provider… how often is that the case???
All I can say is that, had the replacement of my carpets had not been through the insurance but rather, out of pocket, I would have had a far different and more favorable experience. Because of having to adhere to the rates authorized by the insurance company, no one was interested in seeing the job through or keeping the customer happy. Every other time, when I paid out of pocket, I was treated like a queen but the mere mention of an insurance claim and the eyes start rolling.
This is the worst experience I have had with Weatherford BMW. I don’t know if the body shop is a sub contractor or a subsidiary of Weatherford, but it does not bode well for the company. The lousy customer service of the body shop reflects badly on Weatherford as a whole. If they want to keep their loyal customers, then they had better change their attitude towards how they handle insurance claims. Nine times out of ten you get to gouge the customer with your full price but once in awhile you need to work with the insurance adjusted rates to keep the customer happy. I call that more than fair from the service provider’s point of view!

They take their time at this collision center but always to a finished product that you’ll be happy with. I’ve had to utilize their services twice within 6 months for a 2011 328i, unfortunately, and each time I was extremely pleased with the outcome.

I want to start off by thanking the entire Weatherford Collision team.
I was rear ended on 880 and my 2011 BMW 328i was a mess! I contacted my insurance and Weatherford right after it happened and they were able to arrange a tow to the shop. Once I got there, they provided GREAT customer service during my emotional time. They were very professional and knowledgeable.
They got me in my rental and I was confident my car was in good hands. Once my insurance met with them they contacted me with damage information and kept me informed during the repair process.
After getting my car (a week) my car WAS AWESOME! and SUPER CLEAN! I highly recommend this shop to those in need a a GREAT CERTIFIED BMW shop.

Cons:
So they don’t accept payment from insurance companies. I finally talked them into a reasonable quote so my insurance would cover the damage. They did not offer a shuttle, they gave me a ride with my own car and didn’t pick me up from BART on the way back.
Pro:
The work they did was good.

After I got rear-​ended I told my insurance company I only wanted to go with a dealer for my repairs. The insurance company set me up with this place. They scheduled me to come in the day I made the report to get my car started.
I came in, and the two staff members I dealt with were wonderful. They were considerate and efficient.
My car was there for quite the period of time, and the body shop called me weekly to give me a status update on the car and the repairs they were doing. He’d also ask how I was feeling after all that accident hooplah.
Excellent communication, fast service, and friendliness isn’t something commonly encountered when dealing with body shops. I hope that if should I ever need another repair for an accident (I hope I don’t) that I’ll deal with another body shop like them.
