A somewhat tiny clothing and accessory store that just happens to have a tiny room for art. Well is about as big as a walk in liquor store in NY. It’s not a destination spot but it does have enough uniqueness and local handmade craftiness to win over many. The art was pretty good last time I visited.

I happened upon this place as I was exploring what I could of the Oakland Art Murmur, and I was expecting to walk into a regular gallery. But it was BETTER than just any old gallery… why? Opportunities for shopping. And I don’t mean«buying an expensive piece» kind of shopping, I mean CLOTHING shopping. T-shirts, hippie-couture dresses and t-shirt dresses, vintage rings, handmade earrings & leather cuffs, and other little delights from designers such as Oaklandish, Necessary Voodoo, Field Days Wearables, and AC Clothing & Bags — all local and independent and mostly very affordable. Riquelle, the owner, is a friendly burst of energy and will engage you in conversation like you’re old friends. Great shop, though I wish it was just a tad bigger!
