Meet the Business Owner

Vinitha W.

Business Owner

Vinitha is a lateral thinker, design strategist, and committed learner. She has sometimes been called «divergent», and her path has been just that: Vinitha caught the startup bug while opening Google’s first satellite office in India. She went on to found Kaaya, an environmentally friendly home décor retailer, then joined the experimental first class of the Design Strategy MBA at California College of the Arts in 2008. Outside Zoo Labs, Vinitha is a Design Strategy consultant, providing strategic growth planning and innovation to nonprofits. She founded The Resident Wellness Project and sits on the boards of Nexleaf Analytics and California College of the Arts. Here at Zoo Labs, Vinitha is creating a place where entrepreneurs from different fields come together and have their ideas collide. She hopes to build a school of thought – not just a recording studio, music residency, gallery, and start-up hub, but something bigger than it’s parts.
