James K.
Business Owner
AuditNet was conceived in 1994 while I was volunteering for the Institute of Internal Auditors. I wrote an article on establishing an online information network for auditors in which I coined the term «AuditNet». This led to establishing the site which reinforced and disseminated my ideas on how auditors could use a digital community to network and share information and tools. The audit programs section of the site was created after observing behaviors exhibited in listserves where auditors would request assistance on audit programs, list members would share and then similar requests would re-appear based on the dynamic nature of list subscribes and unsubscribes. I created an anonymous FTP (file transfer protocol application that did not require a username or password) site where we uploaded shared audit programs and made them available to other auditors.
My current responsibilities include business development, Web site maintenance and administration and any other tasks that go along
