The five stars given here are certainly not enough. I had them do a replacement of three units a couple of years ago, and the quality of each installation was impeccable. They were «right on the money» in both the timeliness of the job and cost estimate.
A few months ago there was an intermittent shut down of one of the units that might occur once or twice in a few days, then not again for another month, then happen again, maybe, four times in one day. Not the type of problem that could be replicated when a service person was there. Always the toughest gremlin to find.
I called Duncan’s for a regular service and a check over of that particular unit, and their serviceman, because of his attentiveness, noticed a safety switch on an access panel was only working occasionally. He replaced the switch, and BAM, first shot out of the box, repaired what could have been a devil of a problem to find.
So, in closing, whether it be installation, routine service or troubleshooting, nothing but kudos to the crew at Duncan’s.

I had an unrepairable problem with my 13 year old Trane system and I got a bid from a reputable company to replace my system. I wanted to get a comparable bid so I looked at a series of online ratings and the name Bill Duncan kept popping up. I read through all the reviews I could find on them (there were many) and couldn’t find a bad one in the bunch. I called on a Friday evening @ 6:45 and got the answer machine. I left a message and figured they wouldn’t call until Monday. Less than 20 minutes later a very personable young man names Tyler called and asked «What can I do to help you?» I explained the problem and he assured me that it could wait until Monday, but he would come out if it developed into an emergency. I felt very reassured.
Chad Duncan called me on Monday and setup a time to come out and assess my situation. He came at the agreed upon time and prepared a bid to replace my system with a Trane XL18i 2-​stage system with a variable speed air handler. He proposed combining my 4 zones into 2 and installing an Aprillaire filter and WIFI connected thermostats. He stated that Trane offered a $ 500 rebate and my power company also offered a hefty rebate on my bill. After comparing the two bids, I chose Bill Duncan for many reasons, but It just felt right.
On the appointed morning the boys (Tyler, Kevin and Eric) arrived and set to work. They allowed me to sit in a chair in my garage and observe their work. A lot of contractors don’t want the owner to observe, but they didn’t mind and I didn’t micro-​manage. Didn’t have to; they knew exactly what they were doing and each had specific tasks to take care of. The job was complete in a little over 8 hours and my garage was cleaner than when they arrived. The system works beautifully and I am so pleased and happy with Bill Duncan Air Conditioning. My new thermostats are sooo cool. They even show you the local radar and are controllable by iPad or iPhone. If you are looking for a top notch, professional HVAC company, you couldn’t find any better than Bill Duncan’s. From Paula in the office to Eric the helper tech, their focus is all about customer’s satisfaction. It doesn’t get any better than that!
