Allen Orthodontics

I got my braces and retainers from Dr. Allen, which fixed my jaw lock and fixed my teeth alignment. I’d definitely recommend if you are looking for braces. Thanks to them I am not embarrassed about my smile anymore.

We have 4 children 3 of whom required braces thus far. We didn’t find Dr Allen until the 3^rd child. Dr Allen and his staff always provide exceptional service with each visit. In addition, we never have to wait long in the waiting room. They totally understand and respect our time so we are able to get right in and zip right out. Finally, the cost of his services are all inclusive. Most orthodontists charge for a second round of braces but Dr Allen charged us about the same amount initially but then didn’t charge when a second round of braces was required. With our first 2 children, it cost us double the amount for their second round of braces. This time it only cost us once (third time is the charm).
I highly recommend Dr Allen to anyone looking for an excellent orthodontist!

We have absolutely nothing but glowing things to say about Allen Orthodontics. They have cared for two of our children (so far), and we couldn’t be happier.
For starters, and most importantly, our children’s teeth came out perfectly. Dr. Allen gave them each an absolutely gorgeous smile, with no dental problems at all.
Dr. Allen was friendly, personable and paid incredible attention to our kids through the entire process.
The service we received was wonderful; the entire team was helpful and respectful. Even the waiting room experience was positive – none of the crazy delays we’re all accustomed to in other places. In fact, they go out of their way to make it a great environment. They serve cookies, and have a TV and a video game console to help siblings pass the time. Treatment times were perfectly reasonable. We always left happy with our experience and with the results we were seeing.
I am happy to be critical of unsatisfactory services – my other Unilocal reviews will prove it – but Allen Orthodontics was exactly what we hoped for: professional, friendly and efficient. Above all, they gave each of our children a beautiful smile. One more to go!

Terrible customer service. My teenage daughter had braces through these people, for about a year and even though I asked them not to, they continually grinded her teeth down during her braces adjustments. I took her in for a retainer adjustment because it was hurting her gums a few days ago and they didn’t file the retainer– they filed her teeth! My daughter also wanted the wire retainer, not the clear plastic one and they wouldn’t give it to her. After braces she has 15 cavities and when I called to ask if they had been reminding her about hygiene and showing her how to floss, the office manager, Mandy (she refused to tell me her last name) was extremely rude to me and told me that they told her in the beginning to floss and that it wasn’t their problem. I said that for $ 5000.00 I expected that they would be checking on my daughters teeth at her appointments. Nope, not in their protocol. Fine. But then, she would not let the issue go when I wanted to move on to the grinding down of her teeth. She blamed me for making my daughter get braces against her will, and for not sitting through every appointment with my 16 year old daughter when she went in for adjustments. She told me that I should have been there at each adjustment appointment. I told her that I have 2 other small children and sitting for 1 – 2 hours in the waiting room while they adjusted her wires was ridiculous and that I had a phone and that if there was an issue then they could have CALLED me. But I never heard a thing from them. Several times I said «fine, lets move on. It’s obviously not your fault» and Mandy would NOT drop the issue and kept harping on me about what a bad parent I was and why would I get my daughter braces against her will and on and on and on and on. I said «because I’m the parent and she’s the child!» What kid WANTS to get braces? We never even got to discuss why they were grinding her teeth down so much because I finally lost my temper and started shouting at her that she needs to stop right now and that she has crossed a line with the way that she was talking to me. And then she just continued to talk over me. Then she hung up on me. She called me back about 15 minutes later and I said «I am not going to talk to you, I want to talk to someone else» and she said «No. I’M the person that you are GOING to talk to.» So I hung up on her. I have never, EVER been treated so poorly by a customer service manager! I am absolutely shaking with rage at the way she was speaking to me! When a customer says, «fine, lets move on» the last thing you should do is continue to harp on the topic, blame the customers parenting skills and then tell them «no, you’re GOING to talk to ME». This woman needs to be fired, she is clearly unfit for her position. I will never go back here again.

Phenomenal office! There’s allot going on, behind the scenes– you’d never know it when you walk through the front door– and that’s as it should be. The entire staff, Dr. Allen included, are awesome! They’re friendly, professional, understanding & give good vibes! My situation is unique– Dr. Allen will be working w/​my dentist to come up with an ortho-​plan and that fits my needs. I felt very comfortable with them and can’t wait to start my plan! –More to come!

The staff is friendly but the Doctor is trying to server too many patients.
They mistakenly removed my sons lower braces and in turn offered $ 50 off of my next bill. They never deducted the $ 50 and this was several months ago. They have made several mistakes booking us. There is a miscommunication between the administration and the secretary/​billing.
The good part is my sons teeth are straightening.
Update: They did take off the $ 50 after I called them and reminded them.
It is still difficult to get an appointment within a short period.
My son lost 3 brackets and I have to wait 2 ½ weeks until his regular appointment to get them remounted.

I can’t believe how accommodating both the Oceanside and the Fallbrook offices are! The staff has managed to complete my son’s treatment in such a short time, even though I have been lax in always getting his appointments scheduled when I should. They always fit him in, and my son loves how friendly and gentle his orthodontist and assistants are with him. They take the time to explain everything in detail to both of us, and have made my son’s smile beautiful. They give back to the community and I can’t say enough good things about these offices.

Very friendly and understanding staff. My son doesn’t mind going in at all. In fact he is excited to get his braces. He has had 3 or 4 visits (6 mo appts to track his development) and 2 sets of full 3d radiographs and I have not had to pay anything (they include all this as part of the orthodontics if and when you decide to do them). Dr Allen is very nice and he and his staff always remember us even though its been 6 months! I highly recommend dr Allen for adults and children in need of orthodontics.

I must say it’s been a while since I’ve been to Allen Orthodontics. I had my braces off for about 3 – 4 years now. What I remember most about this place is of course Dr. Allen and the staff. They are all very nice and accommodating. The place is always kept nice and neat. They do such a great job with their patients and just like the first review says they are AMAZING!!! When I got my braces off my teeth looked great! I have a son and if he ever needed braces I would take him to Dr. Allen.

Amazing! The staff there are so friendly and kind. It’s clean and laid back. They always did a great job on my braces, and when I got them off they looked amazing. I would recommend this orthodontist to anyone who is needing to get braces. This place was all around great!
