History

Established in 1980.

Began tree trimming in 1980 and have grown my business through hard work, honestly dealing with people, competitive pricing and exceptional customer service. I have some clients who are still with me after many years because I literally «care» for their trees. As a professional arborist, I enjoy educating people on the various ways and methods to properly maintain healthy trees surrounding their homes & businesses. If anyone has questions or concerns about professional tree care I am more than willing to meet with them at their home or business to discuss next steps.

My primary role is to run the daily operations of the business. I meet with clients to answer any questions, walk the property with them, point out various ways to either trim, take down or stump grind, and provide a competitive estimate to perform the work. Once the client says yes, I schedule the crew, visit the job site, oversee the job, & guarantee the client is 100% satisfied. In addition, I am constantly reading, learning, and applying the latest techniques and methods to insure quality work that gets done in a timely fashion and on budget. Many clients comment how well the «team» works together and how clean the job is once we have finished. My goal is to leave the job site cleaner than when we arrived.

The Arbor Age team has trimmed our numerous fruit trees for the past two years. We had an extremely positive experience on both occasions throughout the process — from the initial contact with Chris, to booking the appointment, to the actual work and follow up. Chris is very knowledgeable and helpful, and the staff he sent to perform the work was professional, personable and efficient. Further, the cost was very reasonable for the services performed.
Last fall our avocado produced more fruit than ever before (in fact, we are still picking the last avocados now). The same is true of all our citrus: lemons, limes, satsumas, clementines, navel oranges and grapefruit. The trees are healthier than ever as well as more productive.
We recommend this company wholeheartedly and without reservation. They did everything right, and we are now loyal customers.

This is the third time in five year I have used Arbor Age. The team is always on time and very efficient working very hard. They have always left the trees in great shape and cleaned up perfectly well. They work really hard and I believe I get a very good result for the money. Chris, the owner, always comes out to survey the job to be done and spends a good 30 minutes writing up an estimate. It is very clear what will be done and at what cost. I’ll be using them probably every year now as I have moved to a house with many trees.

We had Chris’s very professional team come in and remove a large pine tree in Nov 2015. This tree was at least 20 feet above our second story roof line. This was a tricky removal since it was tight against our fence on one side and agaist our sidewalk on the other. It had limbs going over our roof and our neigbors roof. They carefully trimmed the tree down to the ground lowering large limbs by rope to the ground. Ground down the stump to remove it. Shedded all the limbs and dump the compost it made in our driveway as requested. This has made great weed barrier. Arbor Age had the equipment and experience staff to complete the project. His people were friendly and respected our property and home.
He was one of the few listed online that had a current contractors license. Always go to
and verify any contractors license before getting a quote.
Bottom line I will call Arbor Age again when we need tree trimming services again.

We made a tough decision to have several palm trees on our property removed, then contacted Christopher from Arbor Age Tree Service to schedule for an estimate. With his extensive knowledge, we knew he was the right man for our job. He is all about giving top of the line customer service, from start to finish. Every aspect of our two day project went exactly as planned. The tree removal crew was on time, professional, courteous, safety conscious and meticulous in their clean up. Our new 2013 O’side home was landscaped, both front and backyards, in early 2014 that included ten tree specimens that were in need of their first critical trimmings. Christopher is an amazing specialist. He gave us different options to resolve our backyard problem with a tree. Its roots had well passed beyond the boundaries of the acceptable and the best way to describe it, was to name it a hazard to the retaining wall, the fence and the patio.
As soon as the decision was made, his team showed up and delivered a great job in a minimum of time. I only can say: I wish all professionals had this level of service and honesty.

We liked the job this crew was doing on a neighbor’s tree so we asked for a business card. We called Christopher and he came by and gave recommendations for trimming and a cost estimate. We found this company because they were doing work in our neighborhood and asked them for a quote to trim the 15 plus trees in our backyard. They where very knowledgeable about all the different type of trees we had in the backyard and made great recommendations. On the day of trimming the crew that showed up was very friendly and knew just what to do. Our backyard looks great now thanks to Arborage Tree Service and we will definitely use them again.

I’m very confused about these reviews. This company has extremely strange customer service. I’ve never experienced anything like it! They asked how long I could wait to have my trees trimmed and I said it didn’t really matter but I mostly cared about the health of the trees since they are so old. Well this apparently was not the right answer as this guy kept cutting me off and insisting I choose a number of weeks I could wait. So off the top of my head i said six weeks or so, and he said he couldn’t help me. So then I said well I can wait longer and it is not a matter of urgency but still he cut me off again and again saying that I said 6 weeks. It was frankly the most frustrating conversation. He truly did not want my business and when I asked him why he couldn’t just trim the trees one day later then the 6 weeks I threw out there he hung up on me. Again I am extremely confused by these reviews when based on the reviews I was hoping and prepared to call just one company and they could have the job which is probably a~$ 3000 job based on the size of the trees. And to top it off if he had said that his next available wasn’t until mid-​January I may have excepted that based on these reviews. What a bummer! I’m sure they do good work but he was such a jerk to me.
Note– make sure you have an exact date for when you want the job completed if you call this company or they will force you into saying a date and then tell you that they can do it one day later and you said a specific date so therefore they can’t do it and will hang up. Horrible customer service!

I am happily writing this review of Arbor Age Tree Service. This company is professional all the way… from the first phone call and discussing my project to the crew that did the work!
When I called Arbor Age I talked with Chris (a certified arborist). We made an appointment for him to come to my property. He was on time, courteous, and professional. His expertise and knowledge is amazing. For a reasonable fee, he assessed all the trees on my property and it was determined two trees were diseased and needed removal. We scheduled that appointment.
On the day of the project. the crew came on time. Again, I was impressed with how professional and friendly all four men were. They introduced themselves and together we reviewed the work to be done. They were careful not to harm any of my surrounding plants. I was very impressed how well they cleaned up. It was hard to believe anyone had been in my yard. The sidewalk was swept clean and the drive way was clean too.
This is the third tree service I’ve had at my property. All future work I need done will be given to Arbor Age. They really are a 5-​star service. I couldn’t be happier.

The quote was exactly what I was expecting, Christopher is very professional, he presented me with all of his insurance information up front and was very detailed about what would happen with each of my trees. When we bought our house, the back yard was completely overgrown and it was all we could do to keep up with the leaves! Chris and his crew were the solution. They were so professional from the beginning with the free estimate through the 6+ hours that the crew of six spent at our home. They arrived promptly at 7:00AM and were very considerate (putting up «tree work» signs on our street, collecting stray branches on large drop cloths, etc.).
We liked their services so much that we are going to recommend them to my mom.

We’ve been using Arbor Age Tree for about 8 years now. Years ago a neighbor decided to go the cheap route and trim his ornamental pear tree, which almost killed it. Arbor Age Tree Service rescued the tree and now it’s beautiful. Since then we’ve taken over the neighbors tree and won’t allow the neighbor to trim it anymore. Arbor Age Tree Service now trims the neighbors tree.
On Friday March 13, 2015, I had tree’s trimmed in the front and back. Before the trim date, Chris came out evaluate and estimate the project. He’s always been prompt, professional and he and his staff have great customer rapport. The paperwork was complete with price and there were no hidden costs the day of the work and the price did not deviate at all from the original quote. The entire work crew is professional, hard working and neat. They clean everything and make sure everything is to your liking. Im biased when I say our trees are the best looking trees in the neighborhood. Two of our neighbors also use Arbor Age Tree Service to trim their trees and they also look great and help with the curb appeal in the neighborhood. I only wish everyone in the neighborhood and the land owners association used Arbor Age Tree to trim their trees.

There’s a good reason these guys have five stars from virtually every person who took the time to post a review. I had made the mistake of hiring a lower-​priced tree service several years ago and regretted it, so I went to three pros for quotes this time. Arbor Age was not the lowest — in the middle — but Chris was clearly the most straightforward and knowledgeable. But his crew was even better. They were a highly experienced, very skilled, professional, polite and grateful band of brothers. They fixed the errors of past tree hacks, briefed me on their plans, showed flexibility when I asked for modifications, cleaned up completely and even left me with some beautifully chopped firewood and very specific advice on watering and pest control. I cannot recommend them more highly. Thank you gentlemen.

Ok so normally I try to make my reviews funny, but there just really isn’t anything funny about chopping down a tree that’s threatening my foundation. After checking reviews on Unilocal,it seemed to me a no brainer to go with Arbor Age. Christopher came out quickly to do an assessment for me. He’s very professional and delivers a copy of all of his paperwork and proof of insurance and license. That’s actually the first time I’ve ever received that from a company. A refreshing change. I had a couple of trees that needed to be knocked down but not all right now. He gave me a quote good for six months on my other iterations of tree massacre which will help me with my financial planning.
The first tree was super important to me and he scheduled me for the next day which was nice since he had a small bit of time available and he was booked out 3 weeks. His guys showed up early. WAY early. Like 8am early, which is totally my fault since I did tell him I wanted it done ASAP. Can’t fault the guy for listening to my request. Mental note for next time though. :)
The thing I especially liked is that his guys set up a shield so that no chips flew at my neighbors yard. This was especially helpful so as not to upset her over something completely avoidable. They were in and out and cleaned up their mess. I have zero complaints and will absolutely use their services again here shortly.

Excellent work, and artistic eye!
The ability to shape a tree is one issue, but having the skill to master craft and fix years of bad trimming is another. Twenty-​four years of «chopping» our beautiful tree we finally met masters at their craft!
The tree was very heavy at the ends of the branches, they snapped causing the tree to loss it’s beautiful shape, forming large gaps. The men did an amazing job reshaping our tree, cleaning-​up and great customer service!
