Cafe Rosarita

This was my first lunch at Café Rosarita. I joined a group of friends who highly recommended it and boy were they right on! I had the chicken burrito which was delicious — the best I’ve ever had! The all white chicken was tender, the sauce was great with just the right amount of cheese. The Cole Slaw served with it was great. I highly recommend and will be going back. We were a group of 10 today and they immediately told us they would write separate checks for us — a plus.

This place is family owned, which is always a plus. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The food is very good. The prices are reasonable. Great local resturant!

We come here at least once a month. I want to try other items, but the Chimichanga with steak and the chile relleno are too good. The salsa is one of the best I’ve had. The service is already great, very friendly. Mostly an old people spot, locals probably been coming here for years. Inside is old, but what do I care about style.

We go here weekly. It is a nice homey atmosphere. The food is always good and the customer service is great! I had the taquito lunch yesterday and it was literally the best taquitos I have ever had. Plenty of meat, and not so hard you couldn’t bite it! Originally I would ALWAYS order the fish tacos or chicken tacos. The meats are well seasoned and they are not stingy. Now I’m exploring the whole menu.

Seriously, the. best. crispy. tacos! It is hard to find a Mexican restaurant that fries crispy tacos, much less fried crispy tacos with ground beef! These are our favorite tacos hands down. Every time we are in Oceanside, we try to stop at Café Rosarita (and the other items we have had there are excellent too — but those tacos!).

I try to come here at least once a week. The shredded beef burrito is the best I’ve ever had. Nothing but perfectly seasoned meat inside. never any gristle or fat. Smothered with the best sauce and cheese melted under the salamander then a crisp non lettuce salad added. My favorite combo is the shredded beef taco, chile relleno and cheese enchilada with rice and beans. The relleno’s are huge and fluffy and the best I’ve ever tasted, the cheese enchiladas are perfect as is the taco. Eat the taco first while it’s hot! :-)

Is it a good thing if I say that I ate so much that I wanted to explode?
Went in for the first time, and will be coming back over and over again…
Ordered a half order of supreme nachos… all I can say is that it was a LARGE plateful… WHAT ON EARTH DOES THE FULL PLATE LOOK LIKE ???
The chips were crisp, the flavor mix delightful.
For our mains, we ordered a combo plate with 2 ground beef tacos, and a taco salad…
The tacos were crisp and crunchy, the beans and rice had great flavor. The salsa was fresh, spicy and delicious. Generous portions, of fresh and flavorful food, at a great price. I will return over and over again…
I may need to be carried out on a stretcher next time…

Clean restaurant. Good size portions. Delicious salsa. The Chile Colorado burrito was yummy! AND the Entertainment Book BOGO… can’t beat the deal!

Amazing food! I love their homemade guacamole and salsa. My husband and I love their Ranchero Enchiladas with chicken. The rice and beans are great too.

I have been coming here for years. Food is awesome… staff is awesome. Great family feel. The two taco plate is my go to every time. Delicious.

I’ve passed by here many times, and we finally decided to stop in for lunch. They had lunch specials for 9.25. Everything seems a little pricey. The service was a little slow, but the food came out pretty quick. Everything was fresh and delicious! Very authentic Mexican food, similar to Anita’s. The portions are on the small side. Cute little place.

Sooo good!!! My husband and I traveled to CA from Florida and had Mexican multiple times a day, in hopes to find our favorite! And this did it! The salsa is my absolute favorite!!! Like, I wish I they could ship me their salsa…

If you want authentic, fresh, REAL Mexican food, this is the place. I live 10 minutes from the Mexico border and I have not found a restaurant this good in my area. The food here is always perfect, the place is always clean, and it is family owned! I am always satisfied after every meal and I look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend it!!!

I’ve come here since I was a kid and the food is fantastic. Really neat family that runs the place. The salsa is the best ever and is homemade. I buy the salsa from them when I host parties at my house. The chips could be better.
Prices are low compared to more touristy restaurants.
I’d say my encouragement is to have a more festive atmosphere somehow, its not decorated as ornately like top tier expensive places. So maybe that’s a plus to be a hole in the wall!

My favorite Mexican restaurant. They use white meat only in all their chicken dishes. Worker’s are great, ownership is better. They really care about their customers, and you can count on food being great from one visit to the other.

Boyfriend and I were passing through Oceanside and stopped by for a late lunch. What a fantastic stop it was.
I ordered the cheese enchilada, burrito, taco combo with beans and rice. It was sooo good. The cheese enchilada was probably my favorite.
Boyfriend ordered a massive chicken burrito. He loved the meat and said it was cooked perfectly.
It was so much food and we both really enjoyed the value and quality of it. This Hole in the wall is a hidden gem. Wish we were local, I miss this place already!
If you’re in the area, give this place a try. Everything looked amazing and you can’t beat the price.

LOVE this Mexican restaurant. From the second you walk-​in you get nice music and a great aroma. The place is very clean and very friendly. But, what made it amazing was the food! I am Mexican, and I have never fully approved of Mexican food restaurants here in Oceanside, Café Rosaritas knows what they are doing! I got the chimichanga with a side of beans and rice (you would think that beans and rice would be easy to make) but this place makes them
Just right! Most Mexican places server canned beans which disgust me and the rice is often dry and not good at all… YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG EATING HERE!!! Order a buñuelo w a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert and I promise your stomachs will make more room. This is one place where you will get full but still want to keep eating!

Located in a shared parking lot with numerous businesses, so parking shouldn’t be too much of a concern. Found some right away. The setup of the place reminded me of the usual Thai Restaurants i go to. Host in front, with additional seating and a kitchen that you can view from your table. Haha.
We went here during their lunch special. Price wasn’t too bad but you get what you pay for. Got a fish taco with beans and rice, they gave us some chips as well as we waited. I tried to order a Horchata and they said they dont carry horchata?! I was mind blown. But I was ok with it but to me, that was a deal breaker right there. But thats my personal preference. Haha.
Food was good. Portion sizes as if we were at Panda Express, if you get my drift. Service was good, server was also nice as well. Food came out in a timely manner as well replenishing sodas/​waters.
Not my go to place and I’m sorry i’d probably pass on coming here again. Maybe if i was in the area or if they stocked up with Horchata. Still a good place though, none the less.
