Crawford Performance

So after my stock block blew in my FR-​S in December, I chose to go to Crawford Performance for a built block. Since then I’ve gotten to know Quirt, James, John and Deven really well. These guys are super helpful and know their shit. I am really fortunate to be able to live so close to them and periodically stop by to say hi or pick up oil/​parts.
In May my head gasket blew. Where did I take it? Crawford Performance of course. They were able to work on it right away. Not only did they work on it right away, Deven stayed late to finish it. Customer loyalty is top notch in my opinion.
My built block spun a rod bearing in the beginning of June because the tune was way too rich (not Crawford’s tune). I had it towed down to Crawford yet again where they were waiting for me. They had other cars to work on which is understandable, but they really helped me out in a lot of ways and I am forever grateful for it. In conclusion, there is no other place I would rather go than here to get my FR-​S worked on. These guys will bend over backwards for their customers and will shoot you straight with no BS. Thanks again guys and I look forward to representing your company at many many car shows and meets to come!!!

These guys are helpful in every way possible. If you ever have any doubts call them and they will help you out. The owner Quirt has many years of experience and knows what he is talking about. I would go to these guys for anything Subaru related.

Allrighty now!!! So I work at a dealership who these guys have built a few cars for and they seemed ok. Today now… They have screwed me 3 times. Back in december I sold a exhaust and had 1 maybe depending on availability, called them to order one for sure. They said they are being made and will be about two weeks… told john to put one aside for me cause I need one. Called about two weeks and a day later…” o my fabricator hasn’t started on them yet we are still waiting for the (cones), dont know when I will get them” Cant remember exactly what he was waiting for. So called my customers and since I couldn’t get an exact date both went elsewhere. There Goes money out of my pocket. Commission sucks
On January, 9 2015 I had an employee who wanted one. So I called up and was told by the following wednesday he would have a few made up. Ok cool. Sold it got it prepaid on my side. Called john and told him I wanted one and have it prepaid ready to go. Called back the following wednesday about 9am… got the run around. «He’s not in right now, let me call you back when he is back» umm ok… 3pm rolls around… I call back…“He should have the exhausts done by monday or tuesday”. Ok fine. This was for an employee so I was a little relaxed on the situation. Called back monday sometime, don’t remember exactly when but was told they would be done late tuesday or wednesday. (20^th or 21^st). Called wednesday later in the day and got some kid of excuse I don’t remember. Got the run around on thursday also… He’s out to lunch right now Ill call you in an hr…3 hrs later… O he’s gone for the day call tomorrow.

So that brings us to today. Called at 912am… O hey let me run out there and see whats up I ll call you right back.
I give him until 255pm which is when the employee comes up to me and says «hey if its not done today, I don’t want it».
I think it was john who answers and I cant quite remember exactly what what was said, But I believe it was «Call back in an hr»
I call back at 345pm and john picks up «o hey, let me go out there, hold on… about 3 minutes goes by…“Hey he hasn’t made any yet»…
I let out a few expletives (no directly into the phone or at john just the situation) and ask the employee what he wants to do. He wants to cancel it. So I say «Cancel it, and hang up»
I get a call back from john at 349pm saying how he doesn’t appreciate being hung up on etc etc. I stop him and try to explain how he has been jerking me around for 3 weeks now and how ridiculous this is. And his to the syllable words after that…“well if you would have put a deposit down then you would’ve gotten it“
Are you freaking kidding me! and he said something else (I think it was I have no control over my fabricator) and hung up on me…
And I always either talked to john or another guy that always either said to talk to john or I’ll have john call you. I don’t remember his name. I never once received a call back. And gave plenty of time for a call back. And I think the «he» john referred to was a fabricator who makes them.
I’m sure they are a good shop and know their stuff but customer service and honesty trumps all. Seems they only help if you have dollar bills in your hand.

I basically fell in love with Crawford BRZ… pinged these guys and now my FRS has moarrrrrr power as we went into a pretty awesome engine build project. I went Naturally aspirated. These guys remind me of AMG or /​/​M or Saleen for Subaru. All I gotta say is they have serious experience and have gone thru their share of r&d over 35 years in business. I figure I take my gt86 to the guys that know Subaru boxers the best:)))) thanks for being awesome guys ! Not only are they courteous to me but also to my kids which is a huge thing for me. Great people bottom line, and most importantly honest and integrity.

They do high-​quality work on RACE CARS, not cars for the street. Crawford installed a clutch for my brother’s car that consequently tore apart his transmission.
