Manager

Curtis E. McRae, D.D.S. has been providing dental care to his patients in the North San Diego County community of Oceanside for over 20 years. Dr. McRae began his dental career as a dental technician for five years after graduating from the Dental Technology Program at Orange Coast College.

Dr. McRae received a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of California at Riverside, and a Doctorate Degree in Dental Studies from the University of Southern California.

Currently Dr. McRae maintains membership in good standing in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society, North County Implant Study Group, California Center for Advanced Dental Studies, San Diego Cerec Study group and the Trojan Horse Study Group.

To stay current with dental health information and clinical techniques, he and his staff attend annual post-​doctorate educational courses to provide their patients with the best oral healthcare possible.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. McRae’s for nearly twenty years. We have recollection of a very compassionate and professional experience each and every visit to this office. Dr. McRae and his staff have created a friendly atmosphere that has made it a pleasure to refer patients whenever the opportunity arises.

I was a patient of Dr. McRae for many years until a change in insurance forced me to switch. Fast forward 12 years: Thankfully my insurance has changed again and I was able to go back. I had a cleaning & X-​rays a few weeks ago — all was efficient, friendly, and courteous. The doc still has a great staff, from the front desk to the hygienist. Today I went to get 2 fillings. Wah! I hate being in the chair. But he’s really good at doing the shots so they don’t hurt too much and yet made things thoroughly numb. Shots were the hardest part yet not bad at all. They finished 2 fillings in under an hour, and tonight Dr. McRae (just like he did 12 years ago) called me personally to see how I was doing. «I’m doing great! Thank you!» He and his staff are personable, compassionate, skilled, and efficient. Like most, I don’t like going to the dentist, but these great folks make it easier. Not to mention their new (to me) office and equipment are all very modern and very nice. Thank you, Doc and staff.

Dr. McCrae and his staff are simply wonderful! My daughter and I have been patients since 2001 and would not go anywhere else. Dr. McCrae helps prioritize what needs to be done and has your best interests in mind with everything that he does. He doesn’t try to get you to have unnecessary procedures and truly cares about how you feel. He is the only dentist, or doctor for that matter, who calls personally to check on me after I have had a major procedure. Of course, I could call after hours if I have a problem but the fact that he takes the time to call me speaks to his empathy and professionalism. My hygienist Wendy is the best and is extremely concerned about my comfort. She is patient and an incredibly sweet person with a great amount of professionalism. This entire practice feels like family. The atmosphere is comfortable and believe it or not, Dr. McCrae’s practice is a genuinely relaxing experience. How many people can say that about a visit to the dentist? If you are looking for a great dentist and staff who exude professionalism yet treats you like family, Dr. McCrae’s dental practice is the place for you!

My family has been seeing Doctor McRae for 17 years. He is kind, caring, professional, and personable. His staff treats us like family. I have been seeing Wendy as my hygienist and am still amazed at how comfortable the process is. I recommend Dr. McRae to all who ask and I do so without hesitation.

Very caring, very friendly, and very thorough. He did work on 4 different teeth for me and it all feels great. They followed up the next day to see how I was feeling as well.
Prices for each procedure were way better than average for the area as well.

My husband and I had Dr. McRae recommended to us when we moved to the area in 1998. We have been loyal patients of his ever since and wouldn’t dream of changing to another dentist. He and his staff have always given us the very best of care. Dr. McRae calls us at home the evening after most procedures to see how we are doing. We had never experienced that kind of follow-​up with previous dentists. He has gone above and beyond in a few emergency situations for my husband too. Dr. McRae and his wonderful staff couldn’t be more professional, knowledgable and caring to us… so I recommend him without hesitation. He’s not only a great dentist, but a great guy as well.

Just went to Dr. McRae’s office. I want to let everyone know why I’d choose his office over anyone else. I’m a pretty picky «patient,» after having some massive issues because of dentists not doing their jobs properly, Dr. McRae helped me prioritize on my budget for what needs to be taken care of first. My health came before anything. I really appreciated his staff being so kind and patient and his amazing skills. I will definitely be back, hoping to help refer patients to him because I can’t see other people going to anyone else! He is an OUTSTANDING dentist, and has OUTSTANDING, professional staff!
