Grooming With TLC

Hopefully the cuts and care have improved since we took our dog to this groomer. Our experience was a nightmare that resulted in our dog needing medical care.

I’ve been taking Ariel (miniature poodle) to TLC for years now. Jackie knows that my dog is not friendly and scared of big dogs and she does her best to accommodate that. Jackie does a great job grooming. I’ve never had any issues. She does a good job and I love that Ariel is usually done in 2 hours.

My little dogs are difficult but Jacki is the best! Dogs are allowed to run freely in the shop and play with other dogs. This is the only place I can take my little ones to and know they won’t cause trouble.
The best part… they always leave Jacki’s looking great!

My doggies always look fabulous after a trip to Jackie’s TLC. They seem to be happy with the playtime with the other dogs and running lose. Great job Jackie.

Does not honor the Unilocal coupon for nail trimming. Giant sign outside points to the place saying «Grooming TLC». Woman inside said «we aren’t Grooming TLC anymore, you need to call Unilocal and tell them». No, you need to change your giant sign with the big arrow… it’s not my problem.

Jackie is great! I have brought my dog brownie there so many times it’s crazy! She has always done what I have asked and takes care of my baby!!! And she is the most reasonably priced great groomer around! Thanks Jackie for always being there for me and my baby!

DO NOT GO HERE. I called Grooming with TLC to inquire about my dog’s nail trimming. I saw good reviews on Unilocal so I decided to come here. They told me over the phone that they were open until 5 pm and that its walk ins only for nail appointments. The lady over the phone told us to come by within the next hour and she can accommodate us. I get there with my boyfriend and pet, Zoey at 4:40 and the doors were locked. I knocked and peaked through the glass window. There was a lady inside towards the back door. She looked straight at me and preceded to walk out the back to continue sweeping. She saw us outside and dismissed us like she didn’t see anyone. She could have at least had the courtesy to let us know that they’re not taking any more walk ins for the day (even though they are open according to their posted hours and vocal affirmation). I called their landline, saw her hear the phone and quickly ignore it. That gave us the evidence that this place lacks customer service and courtesy. It was a waste of a drive. Taking my business elsewhere and letting all my pet friends know to never come here. If I could give negative stars for how misleading and rude this place is, I would.

I have a Boston terrier with Addison’s disease and she has a lot of fur. I walked in to inquire about a hair cut for her, i let Jackie know my dog is a bit of a baby and is a pain to brush. Jackie was very nice and said that she could fit me in the fallowing day but that it might be a little longer than the 2 hour normal turn around. I agreed that would be fine. The fallowing day I dropped my dog off to her. She called me just before two hours was up to tell me she was done. I picked my dog up and she was so nice and trimmed up, she was so happy, and didnt seem at all bothered by her visit at all! Jackie was very reasonably price and did a great job… I will return!

Christmas time is grooming time for our Furry Little Buddies, DO NOT go to Grooming with TLC if you don’t want your dog INJURED! This format is not to «rag» on a company or to waste time, it is to WARN PEOPLE of possible problems.

I was new to the Oceanside area in July and I met Jacki on the beach walking her two dogs, «Champus» (a beautiful 2 year old Pitt with one floppy ear and one bent) and «Black Jack» (a 8 year old black lab). Both dogs were impeccably groomed with shiny coats, very wellbehaved and Jacki was a wonderfully open and sweet lady. She told me about her business and offered her services to me for my «Kali» (a 3 ½ year old AmStaff «Service Animal»). I followed up with Jacki’s TLC two weeks later and was so impressed by the variety of dogs in the daily pack and the grooming left Kali with a luxuriant coat that I had to return. I have since been back three times on a 30 day basis and another due this week.
Wonderful groomer and staff and the «pack» is always evolving and always fun.

This place had restored my faith in humanity!!! Took my sharpei mix in here this afternoon and this box isn’t big enough for all the good things I have to say! My dog is a weenie, gigantic hiding from her own shadow weenie. Bathing her is impossible without a shredded shower curtain or tearing up half the backyard in her attempts to run from the hose. So I was apprehensive about whether or not they could take on this itchy terrified task. Not only did they complete the task, they exceeded my expectations by miles! My dog is so shiny and smells amazing and the itching has stopped!!! She’s prone to eat infections so they must be cleaned regularly and most groomers barely touch them. Not this place! Her ears are sparkly clean. I’m so impressed and pleased! Amazing customer service, amazing job in my dog, amazing prices!!! I used to pay $ 60 for a crappy bath at our last groomers. Not here!!! Grooming with TLC just scored themselves a new lifelong customer!!! Will be back every month for grooming. Highly highly recommended!

We have tried several different groomers since moving to Oceanside 2yrs ago. We have a 7yr old 5lbs poodle/​chihuahua mix dog. being part poodle he needs constant grooming and Jackie is by far the best!!! We have been coming to her for the past year and she has NEVER disappointed us. Storm always comes back super clean and fluffy! We have never had a problem with fleas but we treat Storm with Comfortis. She is very reasonably priced and I would highly recommend her. Give Grooming with TLC a try! :)

Maybe, it was just my experience here. I have a Husky, and he doesn’t need to be trimmed. He blows out his coat twice a year. So, I am not basing my review on trimming. I will not go back to Jacki. Usually, when I drop him off to have a bath, there are no issues. And, I have taken him to several different places, some more expensive, some cheaper. When I picked up my dog, you couldn’t even tell that he had a bath. Seriously. He didn’t look clean. I don’t think his nails were trimmed. It was a complete waste of money. I could have saved $ 50, and had my three year old do a better job.

After reading the reviews I decided to try TLC. In my opinion, Jackie hacked my dog, very rough uneven cut. She even cut her eyelashes. The ribbon in her hair came out before we made it home. I will never ever bring my dog back!

I’ve had a hard knock life running wild through the mean streets of SD with my long sharp nails and coarse, icky hair. Not too long ago, mommy rescued me and took me into her home, but she thought I needed a makeover so she took me here this past weekend to get groomed. I got to play and be social with the other doggies while I waited my turn. Jacki was so nice and after she was all done with me, I was soft, clean and cuddly again! I hope mommy brings me back here again soon because I can run around freely with my wolf pack and the prices are very reasonable!

We have been using Jackie for a few years now, my dogs Ginger and Ziggy love going here. They get very excited the closer we get to the shop! And they always come back happy and looking GREAT!
BTW we have never had a problem with fleas with Jackie’s place.

ummmm our 4 dogs got infected with fleas. because of no kennels. the fact that this place is cheaper doesnt matter anymore we have spent 100+ to get rid of the bugs and they still havent gone away…
only good thing is she puts bows in their hair… thanks but never again…
pleasure doing business, invest in kennels.

Took my dog for a haircut and good job on it, I love the fact it does not believe to keep any animals in kennels like other places while is waiting for you…
