Hollywood Tans

My experience here has been great. The manager and he staff are always so friendly and professional! Cleanliness is always kept up to the highest standards & they change out their bulbs regularly! I would recommend to friends and family! Xoxo

I love this place! Great customer service. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful.
If you’re ok with stand up beds, this is the place to go. I feel like they’re super cheap too. Around $ 55 a month you get unlimited tans.

Second time I come here in a week and they are CLOSED during business hours. I talked to a girl on Friday and she promised they would be open normal hours… Well… They are closed. I want my $$ back. If I pay to tan unlimited I should be able to tan EVERY DAY if I want to. This is BS.

2^nd time this month I have come to Oceanside location to doors locked and no sign as to why their closed during business hours. Not to mention the 10 minutes I waited at the front desk yesterday before I was finally greeted-​mind you I was never apologized to or explained as to why I had to wait for so long. This complaint is to the management-​not the girls working the floor. If I’m going to pay for full access tanning, I would also like the right to know when the business may be closed. I understand construction, short staff, etc. happens but it would be nice to be updated-​even a damn note on the door would be helpful. I use my lunch break to tan, and to spend my lunch driving to tan to find out they’re not even open during business hours has now become beyond frustrating. I even had a moment to talk with another tanner who has experience the same lack of business hours-​meaning it happens more than just the few times a month I experienced. I have high expectations as to how management plans to handle this problem, and how I can be compensated for the lack of availability. If not taken care of properly, I can promise you that myself and the many upset tanners would gladly take our business elsewhere.
I will say, other than these recent major issues, the machines in the salon are well kept and most of the staff on the floor are friendly.

Bunch of crooks! Nobody there knows how to handle their business! Apparently their district manager has jumped ship because it’s impossible to get a return phone call. Avoid this place like they plague unless you want them to take all your money. Shame on you!

Staff is still friendly and I still get a good tan but they are so stingy with the air conditioning. All the beds are stand up too so it’s impossible to just relax when you’re getting a tan because you’re trying not to faint because it’s so hot in there! Also I’ve been going here for a year now and they still haven’t fixed the music in bed 13 which is the only one I use. Something being broken and not fixed for over a year and not maintaining a comfortable atmosphere by turning on the AC shows a lack of pride in your business and just plain being cheap! When my 3 month package expires I will probably be trying the tanning place right down the street.

Just drove by this place and was reminded of the time I got a botched spray tan for a wedding I was going to be attending… nothing like streaky orange running down your legs in a short dress. Thanks for nothing Hollywood Tans.

The ladies are always helpful here! Kathy was wonderful! I apparently hadn’t been in since 2008! She was able to bring up my old tans-​since they never expire and I was able to use them. She gave the scoop on all the new beds they have and lotion options. I have always had pleasant experiences here.

Today was my first time going to Hollywood Tans & my first time doing the mystic tan. I was a little skeptical about the whole thing. I walked in and the friendliest girl named Kathy greeted me! She knew her shit! Excuse my language but she explained every step every option, She was so knowledgeable and sweet! Non the less I took her advice and could not be happier with the outcome of my tan! I will definitely return again and can’t wait for my Vegas trip in two days with my perfect tan! Thanks Kathy for all your help!

Pretty decent prices, clean facility. Staff is always very helpful. I want to say her name is Nicole? Drawing a blank at the moment, but she was down to earth and really helpful and enjoyed having her behind the desk when I came in.

I like tanning here but running out of a product is unacceptable. Especially if it shuts down a mystic tan altogether. Who forgets to order a product that is your company? The check in girls are very nice and friendly. Too bad they have to send customers away because of no product.

Not sure why all the bad reviews! I just switched over from iTan in Carlsbad and already am enjoying my membership much better. The girls are really sweet — Mika was super helpful setting up my new account and choosing a new lotion. I’ve only been twice but haven’t had to wait at all. I would rather drive the twenty minutes to Hollywood Tan than use the nasty iTan that’s right across the street from where I live!

I have been coming here for years. Let’s just say I’ve never had an issue until the last few months. I get the same spray every time I come here, yet the girls seem to mess up the color almost every time I come. They also tell me I have a different # of spray tans left EVERY time I come in. The new manager (Victoria) gave me free tans to make up for the new girls mistakes (I know these things happen) so I was completely fine purchasing more tans! She said she was making changes in the store because this happened a lot apparently. I purchased Over $ 50 worth of sprays the same day because she was so helpful. I believe the deal was 5 for 50. When I went back in to use the tans I purchased (Victoria told me I had 6 left) but mika told me I had no tans left. I tried to get help and even asked for the district managers phone number but (Mika) refused to help me. She said the district manager never answers and tried to make me buy more tans. She also started bad mouthing all of the staff. Personally I don’t care what goes on at the store, I would just like to be treated fairly. Suffice to say I will never tan here again! I love the tans here and it’s very unfortunate for me to have to search for another salon after years of great service. :(get it together

Cheapest prices in town. Never has much of a wait if any for beds.

Girls at this tanning salon suck, I just left because I went in to buy a package and the girl had no clue! Now I’m looking for another place to tan. Idiots

Very clean salon, but I’m sick of being bombarded with sales pushes every time I walk in. I bought the package I did for a reason. I was pushed into buying a «great» lotion, so I did, the next day a different girl was working and told me that it’s a face lotion only and not going to give me the results I want. I purchased the cheapest package because I just lost my job and every time I go in there they try to upgrade me by saying I’ll never see color in this particular booth. Why do they have it then? Thank God the MC ball is Friday so I never have to step foot in here again. Let me tan in what I want, and leave me alone.

I’ve been tanning her for a year now and haven’t enjoyed this tanning salon much. I keep putting off switching salons. But don’t buy a membership here if your looking. The last mystic tan j got her sucked. It left me super streaky and blotchy. I get mystic tans often and know how to care for them but this last experience was not good. A lot of their booths need new bulbs so I wasn’t ever progressing with my tan. So I felt my money just went to waste. Over all not a place I recommend.

Only 3 stars because of the problems I’ve had with service there. However it is always a pleasure to come in when Shelby is there. She is helpful, cheery and abides by the company hours. She will be a great asset to another company when it’s time for her to climb the ropes.

Love the stand up booths. Love the girls Natalie & Tiffany they helped me get tanning before a trip. Place is clean. Although the bathroom could use some work. They have great deals all the time. I have an amazing tan which makes me extremely happy. No complaints except for the bathroom — they really need to be upgraded & serviced more often. And the buttons in some of the booths stick which is a pain in the rear when you’re in a hurry.

Horrible company!!! The upper management is the most fake rude group of people Ive ever met. I feel for the girls working in the salon. I would never go here again simply because I know of the rude people behind the business. Do not go here.
