We provide Monitoring, On-​Site Service, Antivirus, Online Backups, Web/​Graphic Design, Custom PC’s, and downtime PREVENTION. We want to do more than just fix your computers, we want to KEEP your Computers working smoothly.

Lab 5 – 8 also provides Graphics, logos, and website development! We are truly succeeding in being a one-​stop-​shop for all of your technology needs.

History

Established in 2013.

Lab 5 – 8 is a new twist on IT specializing in prevention rather than just break-​fix; the company evolved from a small local IT Repair company called «Kevin Clemons, Really Good Computers» that started in 2009 in Calrsbad, CA.

Kevin Clemons has been doing IT in North San Diego County for over 7 years.

A Naval Veteran, Kevin went back to school to receive his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and start his own IT business.

Kevin also manages a Paintball/​Airsoft team on the weekends that does teamwork training and several Computer Training and Study groups during the week!

I bought a new computer and a new phone in the same week so I was kind of overwhelmed with all the new technology but Kevin patiently helped me get both set up it. Let’s be honest. It’s not that often you need to bring the computer in for repair, but when you do it seems like the biggest inconvenience in the world. Not only does it cost half of what you originally paid, but they usually have to ship it off to some obscure part of the world, where it takes weeks to fix. For the first time I can honestly say, it was pretty easy. Kevin has a great deal of knowledge and was able to narrow the possible errors down while over the phone. I brought it to his place that day and he started working right in front of me. He identified the problem, told me what I needed to accomplish the task, and the problem was solved as soon as I got him the parts. I was in control of how fast my computer got fixed. 5 stars was an easy choice… Affordable Fast, High Quality Repairs. Hands Down the best I’ve seen in years.

Having just recently purchased my 3rd customized computer from Kevin I find it is amazing all the knowledge he has! His suggestions for what will meet my needs has been spot on plus the outstanding service that he and his team provide has created a customer for life. Redesigning a website is not something that i would put on my list of «fun things». On the contrary, we had tried to fix the old one & put it off as long as possible. Probably too long.

Kevin and the Lab 5 – 8 team have really been helpful as our office has grown. They have helped us with solutions as our business and number of computers and systems grows. He is incredibly knowledgeable and I never expected the level of service for the price. We currently have 10 computers that are being monitored by Lab 5 – 8.
He also helped us upgrade our security and despite website hacks and a computer virus our office recovered very rapidly with his help. I am so so grateful i found Kevin! He is a life saver. I had been dealing with a few different computer issues for a few months. I finally got to the point where I had to take my computer in. Luckily i found Kevin and he fixed my issues very quickly! I am an audio engineer so i have a lot of valuable data on my comp. Kevin also connected to my computer screen from a different location so he could show me exactly what he was doing. I was trying to watch the world cup on my computer at the office and although I know better, when it asked me to upgrade my flash player I hi «ok». At that moment, my computer became overrun with popups and it is apparent that a virus had made its way onto my computer. I called Kevin at Lab 5 – 8 and he responded quickly helping me identify and fix the problem.
Since this incident, I signed up for the monthly monitoring system. It is amazing. Rather than waiting until a problem is evident on my computer, Kevin is able to catch and repair the program quickly and painlessly.
I will continue to use Kevin and Lab 5 – 8 for my computer needs and highly recommend you do too.
