It started off good but rapidly went downhill cheese is now the low quality cheese and the Pizza dough is not good anymore, I haven’t had chicken parmesan in a while but the meatball hero is good, garlic knots are decent they have a lunch special 2 slices in a can of soda for $ 5. But if the pizza sucks why get the deal.

Was told they had the best Sicilian on Long Island. It was ok, definitely no where close to being the best. It was very plain tasting, absolutely no flavor

Drive by all the time and stopped for«chicken night» as advertised outside. Staff was friendly but inept. We should have gotten a clue when the teens next to us returned their food. We didn’t get our drinks until we asked. The salad was tiny and plain. Garlic knots underdone. We asked for no grated cheese and there it was. Food when delivered was so so and couldn’t save the day.

I ordered take-out from Lawson’s recently with my friend because we had coupons for the family special #2: large pie, salad, chicken parmesan, garlic knots, hero, and two liter soda, and we got half-a-dozen baked clams as an appetizer. The baked clams were gone first because they were very fresh and tasted«clean.» It was very refreshing and a good way to start with the pizza, which was typical New York-style: thin and not too cheesy, just the way I like it. My favorite part of the meal though was the garlic knots just because I have hardly ever tasted good garlic knots in New York City. Either too rock-hard from being left out for days or centuries, who knows. Or too little garlic garnish, or too chewy. Lawson’s garlic knots had the chewy to solid ratio great and they were heavily slathered with the garlic garnish I like.

Ordered takeout from here tonight and was severely disappointed. The veal parm dinner tasted less than fresh, and the sauce seemed to be doused with tons of extra red pepper flakes(maybe to hide the taste of the veal?). Now that it’s owned/run by Bonbino’s(where I’ve had several good meals), I expected more out of Lawson Pizza.

This is a wonderful place to eat. The buffalo chicken pizza is the best along with the great dinner selections. The service is friendly and the store is clean. Don’t want to go out, just call and they will deliver with a smile. Great food, great service.

Chicken parm hero was delicious. Gotta support the local mom«n» pop pizzerias around Oceanside, rather than the perceived good but actually bad pizzerias around here.

I am glad that Lawson Pizza is finally up on Unilocal.Whenever I am in Oceanside are I am sure to stop by Lawson Pizza. The pies they make here are great, especially the Grandma’s. Prices are very reasonable and service is great. I have yet to sit down and have a meal here, but from my understanding, the owner is a high level chef that worked in top restaurants in NYC metro area, so you know they take great pride to use the best and freshest ingredients in their pizza and food. DOnt take my word for it definitely drop by and try em out.
