Mike restored my 60 year old hardwood floors to near new condition. You can tell the guy knows his stuff when it comes to flooring.
My initial contact was through his website. I filled out the online form and received a call within 24hours. He gave me a base estimate sight unseen and we worked out a time where he could see the floors.
Upon seeing the floors he explained to me how he replaces boards that had termite damage and gave me a fair price for the work involved. My floors apparently have narrow width boards so he had to size and rip each new piece by hand and modify the groove system to that the new board would glue in. Not a small task. I had 7 total boards that needed to be replaced.
Mike worked efficiently to keep the project within my schedule so that we could easily line up the painters, cleaners, and movers. I’ll definitely call him in a decade when I need the floors redone again! Thanks Mike

My wife and I are going through a remodel step by step and we finally decided to have the original oak floors sanded and redone throughout the entire house. I called three flooring contractors. One never showed up to give me a bid and the second never returned my call. Mike with Oceanside Harwood Flooring on the other hand not only returned my call but he came by for a bid and after months of my wife and I holding off on the project due to work and life in general, he followed up with me to see if I was still interested in having the floors done. He is by far the best contractor I have had inside my house. He walked us through the entire process and made everything extremely easy for us. We have pets and he made sure that the doors were shut and that the animals were safe. Most importantly he worked through a holiday weekend (Labor Day) and into the next week in order to stay on shchedule. I have never seen anyone work as hard as him. It was motivating to know that there are people out there like Mike that love what they do and do it extremely well. He was on time and worked until the end of the day everyday. I have personally told Mike all of this and it is only fair that I share this info so others can pull the trigger and redo their floors knowing that they are getting one of the best and most knowlegable guys out there. The floors are officially done and now it is time to paint and add base boards. Thanks Mike for a great job. I wish we had more wood floors for you to work on since it was that great of an experience working with you.

Mike is a true professional! He came to our rescue after having had a terrible refinishing job mess and not only cleaned up and corrected the mess — he refinished our floors beautifully. He saved our lives truly by working through the weekend and into the night to resolve and beautify our living room, office, bathroom, and kitchen oak floors. He is a master and a really nice guy too! Mike recently completed a small repair job for us in Oceanside where he filled in some heater floor vents. He did an excellent job of explaining the process throughout the time he was there to do the repairs. He matched the wood beautifully and we are very excited to have our floors back to the original state when the house was built in 1947. Mike was also punctual and very clean. I would highly recommend him for major or minor jobs. We found him by luck on the Internet.
