I’m a web and graphic designer, and I should have realized before my poor fiancée’ proposed that I have very, very specific taste. Finally, after a long internal struggle, he convinced me to go out and get the ring of my dreams. So I looked and I looked, but nothing was perfect. Then I walked into Oceanside Jewelers 5 weeks before my wedding, and I met Chad.
I thought designing a completely custom ring was impossible in the time-​frame we had to work with, but Chad made it happen! He took all of my pictures and drawings and gave me exactly what I asked for at a totally reasonable price. I picked up the finished ring the DAY before my wedding, and I’ve never been happier with a piece of jewelry.
Well– except one thing. I had told him to make it too small! A previous jeweler I had been trying to find a ring with had told me over and over that I was a 4.75. My finger might be, but my knuckle definitely is not. I brought the ring back to Chad a month later and he resized it for free!

Chad did an awesome job on fixing my watch and replacing the battery. He explained what they would be doing and how long the turn around would be. They had predicted a week but it turned out to be only 2 days. Not only that a couple days later the backing on my watch fell and so did my new battery. Took it in and they replaced it for free. Thank you Chad and your whole team for great work and a friendly experience!

I’ve had good experiences here in the past, but all before Unilocal was clearly in place, so it’s high time I put in my 2 cents for them. I took my very worn wedding ring in to see if it could be repaired and cleaned up last month. Not only did they add gold where it had worn away, they also replaced the 1 carat CZ diamond. It looks fabulous, just like the day I got it over 25 years ago and the price for all was just $ 200. For a ring I was worried might have only been worth the gold that was left to it, they did a wonderful job. This is my third or fourth time using them for repairing a piece of jewelry and I highly recommend them. They also have some very nice pieces to drool over while you’re waiting. Very nice guys working here, and personally, I like the quiet types ;)
I’ll be back next time with an old-​fashioned pearl necklace I hope they might reimagine for me.

I dropped my husbands watch off to have one of the smaller hands fixed. That was the only thing wrong with this watch. I got a call about 2 weeks later saying to fix the watch they’d have to mail it to the maker (citizen) and they’d call me with an estimate. I thought that was very odd. But agreed. A week and a half later they called back saying it’d be over $ 150 to fix. The hand that had fallen off wasn’t that big of a deal so we said no to the repair. I did take a little while to come pick up the watch as I had complications at the end of my pregnancy and ended up giving birth prematurely. However I called and made sure it was still there while I was in the hospital.
When I picked up the watch the small had was fixed but… the watch wasn’t working. I argued with the guy that gave me the watch back. He insisted I dropped off a broken watch and that they had permission to fix the small hand. But… I was only charged for the shipping to citizen. $ 6ish. No biggie. However. The receipt clearly states the only thing wrong with the watch was the small hand. He called me a liar and I was furious. I paid and left. Outside I called my husband explaining what happened. This jerk followed me down the street saying that I was still wrong but the watch is an Eco-​drive and because it was in a dark space it simply stopped working. It should come back on in the sunlight (he said «like 5 minutes»)…but if it didn’t then it’s broken. And the time it was there it was more than likely not going to come back on. So, in their care it broke. Not when I dropped it off. Still on the phone with my husband trying to walk away because he kept telling me I was wrong. I asked him why he kept saying I was wrong when he clearly didn’t know what he was talking about. He had no idea what was going on with this watch. Now… This was on a Thursday during the farmers market. So there were TONS of people around. He rolled his eyes said «wow» and walked off. Fine by me. I walked in the other direction. That’s when a bystander that had watched the exchange stopped me. He said the jeweler shook his head at him and called me a «stupid b*tch». I guess I am stupid for believing a jeweler could do a simple job and not brake the watch they had in their care. I got to pay $ 6 for them to ruin the watch. And btw. It hasn’t come back on. Other than the hand nothing was wrong it was ever wrong with this watch. I bought it for my husband 10 years ago. A small amount of time in their care and it’s ruined. Oh! And I called citizen. The small hand was fixed when they got it. It wasn’t working when they got it. So they broke it, sent it away and tried to pass off the small repair as being over $ 150 fix. These guys are crooks. Keep your valuable away from them.

Chad was not there ether time I was in the shop. And I never spoke to him. Yes, as I already stated it, was months before I was able to come in. As I had complications with my pregnancy. The baby I had with me when I picked up the watch was my preemie. He didn’t follow the employee that followed me on the street. I didn’t hear him call me a stupid bitch. Why would a complete stranger stop me and tell me about it? Also, I was called a liar. Not verbatim but what he said to me was along the lines of, it doesn’t cost $ 150 to fix a hand. What is exactly what the employee said was «You dropped off a broken watch that didn’t work at all.» To which I asked why that was never noted on the drop off slip. He didn’t have an answer for that.
Also, when they called to say they had to send it to citizen I asked why does a small hand have to be shipped off. All (Matt I believe) said was that this repair couldn’t be done in the shop.

Brought in my necklace on Thursday to have the clasp replaced and got it back the following Thursday. They had a great special going on Unilocal so I was able to get $ 10 off and a cleaning cloth. The customer service is not all that great. The guys are really quiet. But they did a great job and I got a discount so I’m happy. In conclusion, its a great place at a great cost. Far better than what they would’ve charged me at Zales.

Having my ring made took a little longer than I was told but honestly… the work they did was so amazing I completely don’t care about the extended wait. All the staff were always nice, and I called almost every day to check on progress. They also treat military members well and offer a discount. Would definitely patron their business again. Amazing work, beautiful product, happy customer.

I brought a gold necklace to be repaired and a diamond pendant to be resized. The work was done beautifully and they even cleaned both pieces before returning them to me. The shop is highly professional and very skilled. It is rare to find a shop that takes such personal care and is «old school» trained in every aspect of the jewelry business. I brought my last piece into Zales and they took three weeks to finally tell me they could not fix the piece I brought in. They had to send my piece out as they do not do any work at their stores. They never called or updated me. Here you get personal service and responsible accountability in addition to beautiful work. I highly recommend them and intend to bring many more pieces in for them to work on.

I had found in my father’s things after he passed away in February, my mother’s anniversary ring he gave her on their 30^th and the original engagement ring he gave her when she was 19, and I took them to Oceanside Jewelers to have the anniversary ring resized so I could wear it and make a pendant out of the tiny diamond. Chad and everybody there were so helpful, and understood how much these two pieces of jewelry meant to me. They made the anniversary ring so beautiful and it fits perfect and they put the little diamond in a rose pendant I chose and it looks so beautiful! Now I have my mom with me always. My parents were together almost 60 years and these two pieces of jewelry are just a small part of who they were, but it helps a little to look down on my hand and see mama’s ring. I highly recommend Oceanside Jewelers, for anything you need, their prices are not bad for all they did for me and they really have good hearts and great customer service.

Family owned and operated. This jewelry store is beyond diamond status. Caring and enthusiastic about making each and every person happy for whatever the occasion may be that brought them in. Me personally 5 times thrilled beyond belief, the hubby thrilled beyond belief with customer service and of course price. Chad the owner happily married and gets it. Amazing. I brought my engagement ring to these guys to be resized; I needed to go down 2 sizes. The ring was ready in the exact time frame they said it would be and they called me when it was done; I didn’t have to call them. When I picked up my ring there were no signs that it had even been resized; it looked like it had always been that size. Additionally they cleaned my ring for me; it looked stunning.

After 42 years of marriage, my engagement band gave out and broke. We originally selected this set for its uniqueness and beauty, a combination of brushed, white gold with a whirl of shiny yellow gold centered over the two bands, with a solitaire rising from the center. We could have shopped for a new set, but when we considered why we selected this set 43 years ago we decided we simply wanted it restored. Not knowing where to turn, we read reviews like crazy, talked to people we know and selected Oceanside Jewelers to do the work. We could not have made a better choice.

I will not take my jewelry to an other shop for repair, after doing business with this shop. I am so happy, they were able to fix my mother watch when, others said it can’t be fixed. My mother passed away and she left this very special watch she had for over 40 years. I took this watch in and these guys just looked at it and sayed, sure we can repair this. I was so so happy to be able to wear this special watch. Thanks guys in my eyes you are the number one and only shop who will repair all my jewelry.

Not particularly impressed. Guys didn’t really greet me. They we’re upfront about only paying 7−15% retail. They said my wedding ring would be about $ 100, and I had an appraisal certificate of it being worth $ 1,500. Rather disappointing. I did sell some gold that seemed like a reasonable price to pay me, couple bangles, couple necklaces and a pair of earrings for $ 650. Just ok.

Recently I received my custom birthday bracelet and WOW! It’s truly lovely.

I found this jeweler here on Unilocal and the reviews were bang on! needed a necklace clasp that had broken replaced quickly at a reasonable price and I came to the right place. The staff was welcoming and conscientious. The owner made a point, for even such a small matter, of coming out to the front to welcome me and share a bit of friendly banter.
I needed a similar repair of another necklace a few years ago and chose a different jeweler nearby and honestly they charged me almost twice the price back then and they took a week rather than a day to do the same type of replacement and repair. I felt like I was a nuisance rather than a customer.
I love supporting local business but love it even more when they know how to ensure you are treated like a part of their community.
