Oceanside Urgent Care + Family Practice

I am so shocked by some of these reviews! I can tell you first hand this place is amazing!
I came in for the family practice end but with an urgent matter. I just moved from out of state and had to see a physician for one of my medications to be refilled. Rndy is hands down the best front end office person I have ever met! I have dealt with a lot of office staff and doctors and all in all this was one of the best places I have been in both states I lived in.
I came in like I said to get a refill on my medicine. My records had not been transferred get so the doctor I spoke with took down my full history and all the details I could think of so she could understand why I was on the medication I was on. Since one of the medicines has recently been deemed a schedule 2 that means I have to get a hand written script every month.
After explaining everything including my dosage and history of everything we had tried previously the doctor have me 2 weeks of my meds and asked me to come back she understood that with 5 kids it’s a little inconvenient but just wanted to make sure that now that she was taking over they could get my records.
So all in all everyone was very helpful and understanding! We will continue to ‘s here for my entire families needs!
They are even helping me get my records from our of state, the previous doctor is refusing to release them and it’s making this whole process even more of a headache but Randy is doing everything he can to help!

I went here a few weeks ago for a toothache as a new patient and did not have any issues. I filled out the paperwork with no problem and Randy was very kind and patient the entire visit. He got me in to see Dr. Beard and she was very kind and helpful and prescribed me the meds I needed to help with the toothache until I could get to a dentist. Very caring people and would recommend to anyone.

Such a great experience when I feel so bad! All the staff is so sweet. They treated me with respect and almost like family. Randy is a sweetheart and makes you feel at home. He usually works the front desk. I have a bad case of strep and had to get a shot and Max gave me the best shot with zero pain.

BE WARNED … DO NOT GO! If you are from out of town and expecting a TRUE urgent care– this is NOT it. I fell and needed to have my ankle looked at, only to be charged $ 124.00 for the doctor to tell me that I needed to go somewhere else for xrays («which could have another charge»). He then slapped a sports wrap on my ankle (which didn’t even go around my ankle because he ran out)… yes, a sports wrap NOT an ace bandage! A waste of my time and money. However, if you are looking for a doctor that will give you pain meds quickly… this is your place. Yes, everyone is very friendly but their lack if knowledge and lack of modern technology really dates this place. Don’t waste tour time here — go somewhere else!!!

I’m so happy to have found this clinic! I first called the north county health services and they were useless. They told me they couldn’t help since I just moved to the area and didn’t have a primary physician in San Diego. According to them, my only option was to go to the emergency room. I’m happy I didn’t listen and called the Oceanside urgent care and family practice clinic.
Randy at the front desk was terrific — told me to come in and I would be taken care of. He was right — I was in and out of the clinic in 30 minutes with my prescription filled in hand. I saw PA Michael Kays who was great. Best of all they took my insurance! 5 stars!

Love this clinic. Small community orientated. Easy to find. Doctors and Nurse’s very professional. I’ve been going here for about 4 months never had a bad experience. Randy front desk very knowledgeable and friendly.

Way better than I could have imagined! The front desk is always polite and gear to help… ALWAYS! There have been times when people were blatantly rude and he maintained his composure and STILL tired to help! The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. The facility it’s self is immaculately clean and welcoming. The charm and pride of ownership is paramount during every service I’ve received. I loved this urgent care so much that I made them my primary care providers! I am always referring friends and family! I love how they treat me as a whole not just as the symptoms I may display. Their thoroughness is really second to none. Never have I felt so comfortable and trusting of medical staff like I do when I come here! AND they’re open on Saturday! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!

I came in sick on a Saturday morning and was surprised to see this place didn’t have a wait. I pretty much went right in to see the doctor. The doctor was very nice and tested me well. He wrote me up a prescription and I felt much better a few days later. I’m glad I came in.

It’s my first pregnancy and I’m sick with the flu and sore throat. Of course I’m skeptical of taking just any over the counter medication so I went in and all of the staff was amazing ! Everyone was very nice, friendly and helpful. Coincidently the rn is also pregnant and that just made me feel even more comfortable. They were quick and provided me with my prescription right then and there. Now I just hope these antibiotics do get rid of my sickness !!! :)

So today I had an adventure! Up since 4am with pain so bad that I couldn’t touch my face without crying. I walked in and they had all my insurance done with before I even finished filling out the paperwork. Very nice and very social people. Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to the meds I was prescribed, so I went back in and they quickly gave me a shot. Afterwards when I almost passed out from the needle they made sure I laid down till the room stopped spinning.
They told me what my allergy was to and even checked my meds to make sure none of my new meds had anything I couldn’t have in them.
I’m so grateful the doctors are the ones getting the ratings and not the patient!!!
I recommend these people because they worked quickly and efficiently all while wearing a smile, even if I wasn’t fully there the entire time!

Wow! Fantastic family practice! Easy sign in! Randy was extremely charismatic! He helped me receive the best affordable care! Maria was my doctors Assitant, she was sweet, smart, and very efficient! Bee was my doctor, loved her! She was super easy to talk to, very gentle through my producers, and most importantly extremely helpful! I would recommend this practice to any family :)

This family practice was extremely fast and effective. Just how I like it! Randy was extremely friendly and helpful! The rest of the staff was extremely professional as well!

Do not come here! All they do is take your money! You have test results that you are asked to show them and they charge $ 75 just to TALK TO THE DR when they were the ones to tell you to come back.
When I first showed up for my initial appointment they charged me $ 125. Then, the guy at the front desk said, «I gave you a discount last time right? Today I’ll give it to you for $ 75!!!» What is that about! No sir you’ve actually made me waste a lot of my money for absolutely no reason.
Then they have this THREE day rule. Well if your still sick within 3 days you get a free visit. How many times have you tried to make an appointment somewhere for follow-​up care, like an MRI, and got in within a day or two. Very rarely.
This place is a joke. Do not waste your time! Unless you want both or hair removal don’t come here for any real answers! The DR. Even asked me what I wanted to do? Well geez doc don’t you think I would have already done it if I knew!!!

I was extremely appreciative for Randy to have gotten us in quickly as I was really concerned about my coworkers injury. The entire visit from walking in, meeting the dr, to checking out was outstanding. I would recommend anyone that needs a primary care doctor to needing to be seen for an injury.

Clinic was very dirty! Longer wait than usual with an appointment. Had to ask the PA to change his gloves! Please do not go here! They forgot to call me about test results.

This Urgent Care defines service. The staff is very warm and friendly. The providers listen to your every need and your needs WILL be met. As an Urgent Care, they have a lot on their plate because they have so many patients the providers haven’t already established care with. However, they are knowledgeable providers who know just the right questions to ask to get you fixed up and on your way. I got lab work done here and I will have the results within a week, as is standard. I received a B-​12 injection here as well and I am considering purchasing one of the low priced packages they offer. A medical professional myself, I can confidently highly recommend Oceanside Urgent Care!

I took my friend to this urgent care with a sensitive issue. There was some problems processing the insurance which took a while. My friend asked about paying out of pocket and forwarding the bill to insurance later which they said she could. Randy also suggested for her to get «better insurance like Aetna because they are easier to deal with.» I then asked if the actual services would be billed out in the mail… to which Randy responded, «we aren’t a bank.» I told him I didn’t ask if they we’re a bank but if the actual lab work would be billed separately. He said no (later to find out the answer was actually yes) and continued to try to «educate» me about billing services. I told him that the tests that needed to be done were time sensitive and that we were running out of time. He then looked at my friend and said, «I’m sorry your friend is upset.» They took my friend back to a room where she could hear him through the wall complaining to another staff member about her insurance.
Three hours later we finally left this joke of an urgent care. My friend made the comment to me as we were leaving about how rude and inappropriate Randy was.
Considering how delicate the reason why we were there was (which ALL of their staff was aware of), I was disgusted with the sarcasm and rudeness received from Randy. My friend and I both work in healthcare and would have lost our jobs by now if we treated patients or their family in such a way especially during vulnerable times.
This facility is also my primary physician office… let me correct that… WAS.

Everything I needed from a local Urgent Care office. The staff is extremely friendly and personable, which compared to other nearby UC providers is a breath of fresh air. Quick in/​out diagnosis, treatment, and great follow up. Parking can be tricky as for everything in this area, but they have additional parking in the back if you take the ally of Wisconsin.
For my health’s sake I hope to not be back soon, but will definitely return next time I’m sick.

«I’m going to put you on hold for awhile so you can calm down.» said Randy. This is the condescending attitude and lack of respect for customers you will get from this office. This is what Randy told me when I called today to remind him that he made the mistake in registering the wrong doctor to my insurance and I am still receiving a bill that I should not be getting. He had last month to correct the issue, but he is trying to manipulate the situation by saying he is ‘helping me out.’ Help ME out on YOUR mistake? Do you want to go to an office where they think you’re stupid?
DO NOT GO TO THIS URGENT CARE! Who runs into an UC for an emergency botox? They were try to sell that to us when we were there. This office is clearly here to only make money and not for healthcare.
BE AWARE!

Oceanside Urgent Care is the best! They are a family practice as well and it always seems pretty easy to get in without an appointment, even though I always call ahead.
Randy is hilarious, makes you feel at home, not some stuffy doctors office. You feel a part of the family there. Every Dr I have had an encounter with is amazing. Dr. Harrison is wonderful– cant say enough, Dr. Anne is also so caring and compassionate. Highly recommend coming here!
