Outer Limits Smoke Shop

have never seen so many bongs in one store EVER!
Unfortunately that is not what I was looking for, I was expecting a cigarette store, they only sells bongs and vape here.
Service was nice, selection endless, great if you are looking for that kind of thing.

In my previous post, I meant to write China and not Thailand regarding how Outer Limits is importing their products. Here are just a couple websites that sell glass made in China:
Compare the prices from the websites to the prices of Outer Limits products. THIS is why they have so many glass pieces and why they’re so cheap, simply because it’s ILLEGAL. It’s commonly referred to as FORCED LABOR aka SLAVE LABOR! MOST OF THE «LABORERS» ARE CHILDREN WHO ARE 7 – 12 YEARS OLD! Just think about the profits the owners of Outer Limits gain from FORCED CHILD LABOR. But, if you’re okay with all of this and it doesn’t bother you (it definitely doesn’t seem to bother them as they rake in the cash), then… I don’t know; maybe your beliefs and morals portray complete selfishness and greed… exactly like the owners of Outer Limits.

Simple, some of the worst costumer service I’ve experienced. There’s nothing cool about working at a smoke shop as your life career. Get over yourselves and respect the people who are giving your lame job business. It’s not a surprise this place has a low rating. To summarize, I was hung up on by an employee after I asked what his name is, to which he responded «irrelevant». Then click! Keep it up guys, really keeping the customers happy!

Always satisfied never had issues very simple get in get out type of joint. The staff is always nice & I enjoy every second when looking for a new Tobacco piece.

Glass is ok. Bunch of morons working there. No surprise lol, they sell shitty electronic things I.e. Vape stuff. Can’t tell you the countless amounts of problems I’ve had with that. Just stick to buying regular smoking devices like pipes and water pipes. Just bought a vape tip for concentrate first it was missing a couple pieces. Then went back and they replaced them, with ones that didn’t work… F you outer limits. I am officially boycotting you. Try inner world or other smoke shops or just order online

This little smoke shop on the edge of the Oceanside/​Carlsbad border serves it’s purpose well enough, it’s got what I need and I’m usually in and out within 15 mins. The parking lot is very small and difficult to get into should the store be busy. The customer service is hit or miss, I often come in as they’re opening up so I see store employees opening new product and slowly pricing them. They’re not quick to help, but they do ring you up quick and wrap my purchases carefully and quickly. I’m not here to make friends just buy what I need at the moment.

They have EVERYTHING a stoner would need. Customer Service is just average though and I think they would do much better sales wise if they had a different crowd working the counter. I think somebody’s mom was working there and a few other oddballs.
A real pro could have sold me a lot more than what I purchased today.
Get some long haired blond dudes and guys with tattoos and Sullen Hats to liven up the place.
Do your research online before and know what you want to buy. If you approach this store in that way it will be a more pleasant experience for you.

Okay, so the experiences that I’ve had at outer limits have never been horrible but i can’t describe them as being «good» exactly.
I walked into outer limits to pick up a new atomizer for my vape and as i walked in I wasn’t greeted (per usual) but i managed to flag down an employee. I asked to see a couple attys and finally decided on a Mutation XS mini. Before I purchased it I asked the employee «These are Authentic right? Because I know you guys sell a lot of clones and you’re selling this for the authentic price.» He replied with a «Yeah man, it’s forreal». Okay, I decided I could trust him since he was also vaping and a fellow vaper would never intentionally misinform another vaper.
I get home and break open the box and as i take the top cap off to unscrew the pins what do I see? ONE OF THE POSITIVE SCREWS IS DRILLED INTO THE CENTER BLOCK AT AN ANGLE AND IS TOUCHING THE NEGATIVE POST. This creates what is known as a SHORT, is extremely dangerous, and is the telltale sign of a clone. I decided to take it back the next day and inform the manager that her employee had knowingly sold me a clone and told me it was an authentic and that I needed her to either exchange it for the same model that had proper machining or I needed a refund.
I went in the very next day and let her know and she replied with «No, sorry. Leave. Goodbye». I was dumbfounded. I am fully aware of their «All Sales Are Final» policy but surely she could have made an exception for something that could have very well have taken my face off if I hadn’t noticed it and fired it on a Mechanical Mod. I told her «Ma’m, what your employee sold me was faulty equipment as well as potentially dangerous. Do you understand that? If I was your average dipshit teenager and i built coils on it and fired it then it would have shorted and quite possibly taken my face off. All I need is either an exchange or a refund.» her response was exactly the same as last time. So I gave her an ultimatum: A replacement or a Unilocal Review and some strong words. Well, needless to say I threw that little detonator cap away and she got a few choice words and now I’m out 40 bucks and Outer Limits is oh so much closer to becoming a one star business.
Please don’t buy anything here.

wide selection of everything you could want from a smoke shop, even vape!

Been a customer of this shop for 10 years and never had a bad experience till now. Girl at the counter didn’t even greet me because she was to busy stuffing her face. Said some rude talk that I didn’t want to hear and will never come in again. Inner World you are my new favorite.

I’ve had generally good experience before, but only dealing with one employee who seems to care. Today I went in, and had to wait for 15 minutes before someone acknowledged my presence. And when they did, I didn’t get a hello, I got a «You ready yet?». I brushed thus off and asked for Japanese cotton, she looked dumfounded. She pretended to look, and found nothing. I asked for any sort of wicking material, and she said no. Amazing they have such a vaping selection, yet their staff is so unwilling to help. I’ve bought many things from there before, but I think this is my last time I go there. Unbelievable! Management, you’re losing money because of your staff, you should address this.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The first time I ever went to outer limits is about a year ago when I was shopping around for a new illadelph glass piece. 1^st of all I walk in there and the shop is huge so I was extremely excited about all the options, and they have tons of people working there so you would think someone would approach you and ask if you need help, right? WRONG! Not at outer limits. Literally waited 20 minutes for someone to ask me and my friend if we needed anything. I’m not sure if they thought since I’m a younger girl that I wasn’t going to be buying anything, or they didn’t think I was going to actually be spending that much money on a piece… but if anyone knows anything about illadelph glass, they know how pricey it is. So, I ask the guy to see a few pieces and every piece he had to pull down from the shelf just pissed him off even more. I just didn’t understand what his problem was. Then he goes on to say how I shouldn’t be looking at the illadelphs because of how pricey they were… Um. EXCUSE ME? I’m pretty sure I know how to read a price tag, sir! So, at the point I walked out and took my business elsewhere to an amazing shop in PB where I got a great deal.
So, you would think after that awful experience I would never go back, right? Well, unfortunately outer limits is the closet smoke shop near my house & they are open until 9:30 and I needed a pack of papers and some tips so I stopped by outer limits to pick some up on my way home. When I walk in there, they’re probably about 8 – 10 kids just standing around, laughing, blowing there Vape pens in the air, listening to music, cussing, sitting in the glass cases, and just being plain obnoxious. I walk over to where the papers are and just stand there while all of them continue their conversations amongst each other, until some kid points to me and says «hey go help her!» So, this girl comes and helps me get my papers. Then she turns to, I’m assuming co-​worker, and says «so, like what did you reply back to what he just texted you?!» I’m like are you serious right now, YOU are supposed to be helping me?! I’m still here! Then she rings me up while all the others sit on top of the counters hanging out like they are at some social gathering, still blowing their Vape pens in the air and cussing after every word.
Honestly, I have never been to a more unprofessional environment where the employees don’t give 2 shits about customer service or making sales. I hope the owner of this shop knows that he’s paying a bunch of mindless, rude teenagers to sit around and hang out all day. HA! Such a joke! I don’t know how this place makes any money with the service they provide & it’s a shame because if they actually ran there shop right it could be really nice. Save yourself the trip and go elsewhere. SERIOUSLY!

They practically have anything smoking and vaping related. They have walls and walls of glass bongs, pipes, etc. It’s beautiful. A must go to place if you consider yourself a real smoker or pot head. I like to come here even when I’m broke just to look around at all the fancy vaping and combusting electronics for home and mobile use.

This is a review on the parking. It is not good. They need to settle whatever issues they have with the Moose Lodge. I parked there today and some guy came out of the Moose giving me the business for parking in his lot. Rude as hell. I didn’t know. What a screwed up situation. I apologized and drove away… I don’t need this.

I have only been here once. While visiting the area I broke my pipe, so we came here to replace it. The staff were really nice, and I was really impressed with the selection and prices. We definitely don’t have any shops with that kind of selection in the Bay Area.
Sad to see that people have had bad customer service experiences. The lady who helped me was really nice, she showed me a few pieces, and when I picked out the one I liked, she knew of the same exact one with a nicer bowl a few shelves away, so I bought that one instead. I came in right as they opened up, so maybe morning crew are the nice people.

WORST customer service EVER!
I was highly recommended to give this shop a visit by a friend. I drove to San Diego from Palm Springs to check it out. Walked in there with well over a grand looking for a nice peice. I was not even greeted as I walked in. I was looking at one piece in particular that was priced at around $ 1,250 and was going to buy it. They do have some nice pieces. Stood around to see if anyone would help and all the employees were just huddled together talking among themselves. I took my money elsewhere and got a nice piece in the end. I’ll NEVER go back or recommend this shop to anyone. g

Aw man, come on Outer Limits! This is my second update, reducing to 2 stars because my last visit felt like my first visit (a one star experience). Once again I found a staff that was too apathetic for a specialty store and offensive music blaring from the speakers. Would it kill y’all to put on some reggae or 311 at a moderate volume? I would love to be able to communicate with your employees without having to ask them to repeat themselves several times. I realize that it is your right to play music with misogynistic lyrics at a loud volume but when I leave Outer Limits with a purchase I feel… bad. Bad about my choice to spend money there, bad about myself, and feeling like I burdened y’all in some way by stepping through your doors. To be honest I have not found any smoke shops which truly meet my expectations yet so I will likely continue to reluctantly shop here because of the fabulous selection. Despite the somewhat uncaring staff I have to admit they are knowledgeable and I assume they are egregiously underpaid so I can’t be too hard on them.
Be warned Outer Limits! You can’t be the only place in town forever. The competition will eventually be here so step yo game up!

It’s pretty obvious that the people working here don’t care about their jobs or the people coming in to spend money. I’ve been coming to outer limits for over 8 years because of the reliable selection. The staff has never been amazing but never one I’d complain about either. However, the last few times we’ve gone in I have left with a bad taste in my mouth. More often than not at least one of the employees has a buddy hanging around just chatting. So you can count that one out for any help. There’s usually one person actually working ringing people up. Another standing behind the big square in the middle area when you first walk into space and usually another hiding from customers somewhere behind the counters. You have to hunt for help here.
And then today, we go in and buy an ecig battery. No instructions given, just forked over $ 30 and out the door. We take it home, charge it for a couple of hours and then can’t get it to work.
So, in a hurry before leaving for an event we rush back to try to exchange it. We explain to the guy behind the counter our problem, hand it to him, he presses the button 5 times and it turns on. Now isn’t that something we should have been told when we purchased it? No apologies, no nothing. Over the years, I’ve spent quite a bit in the shop and so have many of my friends and family… I will encourage them to go other places from now on as service is still important to some of us.

Not my first time here. Not my last. Most amazing and incredible smoke shop anywhere. You won’t find a better selection and you won’t find staff who know the product like they do here. I always have questions — they always have answers. Even had a dealing a few moons back with the owner on something that wasn’t 100 percent and he personally made it right, Thank you. I make the drive here because it’s worth it. They truly have everything. I’ve brought out of town friends here to get E-​Hookahs and other supplies and they are all just blown away. Awesome store Outer Limits… just awesome!
