I met Robyn a couple years back when a friend of mine was considering purchasing a home Robyn had listed in Oceanside. We both thought she was very professional, honest and had a pleasant nature. So, when I decided to sell my property in Oceanside, I looked her up and we met at the home to discuss the potential sale. She gave me her opinion on the sales price and how we would market the home. Being a rental, the prior tenants left considerable items in the garage and home. I was extremely grateful that Robyn took care of most of the work and had access to cleanup crews etc. She also rolled up her sleeves and jumped in to help with the cleanup. Within 2 weeks we had a solid offer and the process for selling began. All in all, Robyn’s professionalism and good nature and expertise made for a very pleasant home selling experience. I would highly recommend her for any sale, and I know if sell one of my other properties she will be first to get the call.

I had the pleasure of meeting Robyn at a small business professionals group where she was giving a presentation on real estate. After attending the presentation by Robyn, I chose to refer her to a great friend of mine who was exploring the possibility of selling her home. Although my girlfriend has not made a decision yet about whether she’s selling, she has been very impressed with Robyn’s responsive communication, knowledge of the North County market, professionalism, and the time she has taken to discuss all of the options available. In addition, Robyn followed up with me directly to be sure that my friend had all of her questions answered. Robyn represented us for both the sale and purchase of Oceanside homes. She went above and beyond every step of the way. We were thrilled to get multiple bids after a few days on the market, and got a great deal on our new home. Robyn is always thinking one step ahead and from every angle. We recently sold our home in Carlsbad and purchased a condo in Oceanside. After looking at Unilocal reviews and checking out perspective realtor websites, we ended up choosing Robyn Goodkind, mainly because of her perceived knowledge of the Oceanside area.
She first disagreed with our asking price. But we held firm; which turned out to be a very good thing for us. We also agreed to her full 6% commission request. There was quite a bit of back and forth with the buyers, making demands, etc. Without going into too much detail, we felt pressured by Robyn to conceded to seller demands at almost every juncture. She even called us one night at home, telling us how she worked «150%» and how she was under personal financial pressures. She even started crying, literally. We were shocked.
Ultimately, we sold our home for about $ 35,000 more than if we had listened to Robyn’s advice. By the end of this transaction, our relationship with Robyn had grown tense. We considered firing her after the sale of her home, but decided since WE (not Robyn) had already found our new condo, that we would press on. We also encountered the same «take this deal» pressure from Robyn on our condo purchase. She even contradicted some of her earlier advice on more than one occasion. She likes to tell you how she is working for you. But in our view, she is working for Robyn. Show me you are working for me and you don’t need to tell me.
We also found her to be prone to taking credit for things that went well and distancing herself from things that didn’t, whether they were of her doing or not. We used her recommended mortgage guy (excellent), termite inspector/​repair company, inspector and Homeowner Warranty company. On our new home, her recommended inspector seemed to just blow through the process and appeared to not have done his due diligence. Later, the inspector’s inattention hurt us as the dishwasher did not work and the washing machine did not work in the hot water cycle. There were some other things, more minor, that he missed, too. When we presented them to (Robyn recommended) Old Dominion (horrible reputation, we found out later), they refused to pay our claim. Their reason: because the dishwasher was not working when we moved in! Everyone pointed fingers at the inspector. Robyn even suggested we consult an attorney and when I pointed out that it was her chosen inspector AND HO Warranty company, she said basically, we should have chosen our own. Incredible!
We found Robyn to be combative, argumentative, condescending, very emotional and frankly unprofessional. She told us she was dealing with personal problems, but she should not have told us about them, much less allowed them to affect her dealings with her client. We paid her upwards of $ 40,000 in commissions on $ 1.2 million in transactions in about 45 days.
We struggled with whether or not to post this review, but the final straw occurred when all she did when we moved into our new place was text us a message of «congratulations». If I were in her shoes, and I am in the service/​commission business, I would have had a nice house warming gift waiting, along with a personal note. Something. Anything! Of course, I would never deal with a client the manner she dealt with us throughout these transactions. Ever.

I am so glad that a friend referred Robyn to me as I began the search for my new home. I am a first time buyer, and envisioned a long and stressful process ahead of me since I wasn’t sure whether I wanted a detached home or a condo. Robyn helped me get clear on my priorities in a home and the location, and her extensive knowledge of north county helped me zero in on neighborhoods where I felt comfortable.
Very shortly after I started looking at properties, Robyn found the perfect home for me. Her negotiation skills got the seller’s price down lower than I expected. Going into escrow went very smoothly, and she was always available for any questions I had. She helped set up inspections on the property, and gave me good, honest feedback about the home’s condition and value.
I felt confident in my decision to purchase the home because of Robyn’s guidance. I was able to enjoy the excitement of purchasing my new home because I knew Robyn was taking care of the contracts and negotiations. The stressful process I had envisioned never happened. When I hired Robyn as my agent, she told me I was in good hands. That proved true every step of the way.

Robyn did a very professional job selling our house. She was very responsive to all our questions and made good suggestions on how we might market the house. The result was that our house was on the market for one day, and we closed within the 30 day period with no headaches at all. We highly recommend her.

I met and started working with Robyn when I found my first property here in Oceanside on Clementine 3 yrs ago. Talk about an AWESOME realtor! I have bought MANY houses and commercial building over the last 30 yrs.
