Established in 1982.

Captain Joe Cacciola began offering dignified burials at sea to the public after doing this for both his grandmother and father. Capt. Joe’s formal education in counseling psychology and his decades of onboard experience have enabled him to professionally serve over 1300 families at this most important time of their loved ones life.

Since 1982, Captain Joe Cacciola has helped grieving families and friends bid farewell to departed loved ones aboard the beautiful 60 foot Sea Star. Captain Joe is a graduate of Villanova University, a former United States Marine Corps Officer and holds a US Coast Guard Masters license. He personally believes a proper burial at sea is an important part of everyone’s life and treats it with the attention, dignity and respect that it deserves.
