Old, dated, but clean, well stocked and very nice service. Since it is right by Walmart and several other cheaper shopping options there are never any crowds here and shopping a breeze. Everything was very fresh, good quality and while some of the prices are higher, if you shop seasonally and look out for sales you will get great deals. They also mail out coupons every so often to offset the prices a bit. Nice option in the area and makes you feel much better shopping here than at other places.

Has pretty much everything you need at reasonable pricing… liquor is a bit limited and none of the more quality brands(3 Olives Cherry vodka, for instance), but good for most everything else!

I would give it a 3, because it seemed like an average store, but customer service isn’t all that great. Some of the employees don’t seem excited there. And a gentleman that worked there was so busy Indo’s phone, he cut me off. I think he was the store manager based off the photo at the entrance, but he was so oblivious and quickly running around, I couldn’t get catch the name tag. And when he did cut me off, I said«excuse me, Sir!» and when he turned around, I started to say he cut me off, he realized I wasn’t looking for anything and kept walking. If he was the store manager, I can see why nobody seemed excited to work there.

The absolute worst store I’ve been at in Oceanside. I’m writing this in my car after spending a half hour in this store. They had the worst selection of items. The store is half lit which isn’t so great if you want to see how clean it is here. The meat area stunk. Usually I go to the base commissary or albertsons but I came here because the base is crowded today. Wish I had stayed at the base! Alicia V. Was the checker and was as friendly as a rock with a total negative attitude unless she talked to the bag boy. I spent $ 234 here and felt like the customer service stunk. All the checkers had down in the mouth looks. If you don’t like your job… leave ! Don’t take it out on the customer by being Debbie Downer!

Meat department rocks!!! It’s not cheap, but I don’t mind paying for quality and service! Additionally, the vegetables are always picked to perfection!

Always has an excellent selection of products that you need for your home or kitchen. Staff is always very friendly and helpfull, store is very clean and organized and the food is very fresh compared to other stores that I have been to. Five stars here! The only thing that absolutely blew my mind today was my cashier. No smile, no eye contact, just a dull«Hey». I asked if she could make change for me since I was already paying in cash. She just did an «Uugg, I guess.» By the end of my transaction, I got tossed a receipt and a «Thanks». I just chalked it up, Evelynn L’s attitude, as she’s just probably just having a bad day. Who knows.

Very friendly staff. Cheapest grocery store compared to others. Their grocery carts are old and some are missing the buckles to strap my kid in. My other complaint would be the deli. They take forever and need more people working that department or willing to take a break from what they’re prepping in the back when there’s a line to help out people that are waiting. However, this is my go to grocery store because of the prices(and the meat department.)

Great neighborhood market. 3 people in line and they open another. Just nice people work here, everything we need. Checkers and naggers are nice, and you get discounts without a reward card. It’s like the nice neighborhood market for Fire Mountain.

Holy friendly and helpful staff. I mean, who does grocery store reviews? They all have the old stuff, right? But the cashiers and staff are so great here. I even love the cranky German lady behind deli who helps me so much. The young guy cashier is a pro, handles situations perfectly.

I’ve only been in here a few times, but every time I’ve been, it’s been a pleasant experience. The workers are always nice, the store is clean & they usually have some really nice deals you can find in their weekly ad.

I really only come here for the bakery. They cakes are so nice and moist. And the prices are great. I would have rated them 5 stars except for the little things they are lacking. #1 if you tell them you want the cake at 12 and you show up @12 they are still working on it. So tell them you want it at 12 then come at 2. #2 usually the person taking the order is not the person making the cake. So if you guys talk about something special it doesn’t always happen. It’s a crap shoot. Luckily the cake still taste good. Bad part is you don’t get to see inside of cake before leaving the store with it. So if they can figure these to things out I will change my rating to 5 stars. Enjoy your cake. And don’t forget the ice cream

This is my Stater Bros of choice. The meat counter, as with all SB’s, is great. The prices, as with all SB’s, also good. The Waiting in Line situation is better than at the one on Mission, and less people paying with WIC and Food Stamps, writing checks. Probably because it’s at the foot of Fire Mtn instead of the intersection of Mission and El Camino.

Review so short and sweet because my grocery shopping trips here are always just that: short and sweet! In and out, everything I need! Can’t beat the prices. You could go with coupons in hand or stuffed in your pockets to any other store with their membership cards and member only deals, but Stater Bros gets it right without all the gobbledygook. The prices and sales here yield some reasonably, sometimes unrealistically inexpensive goods! The store is clean and organized. Well-stocked, well-lit, well-produced(nothing browning or going awfully bad sitting out to be purchased), and well-spaced(wide isles, no tables, fixtures, or signage in the way to be tripped over/knocked into) Friendliest staff! I could just hug the cashiers and baggers, they’ve always got the biggest smiles on their faces and the nicest things to say! The deli associates are also very sweet and helpful! Stater Bros. for all your grocery shopping needs!

Sad to say this location is closed and was taken over by CVS as of last week. Sad because these were great folks and I was in the process of moving everything from CVS.

Compared to a lot of other Stater Bros. I’ve been to. Very cheap deals and a lot of the prices are very cheap! The prices here reminded me and were similar to the prices of groceries in a military commissary which was definitely plus. It’s very clean, very organized, and the staff was pretty friendly. I was having a hard time finding eggs(yeah I know how can you NOT find the eggs? I had an airhead moment lol) but I asked one of the workers and they gladly took me to the egg section and so I got my eggs! lol Overall I had a good experience here and was very well taken care of.

THEYHAVETHECOINSTARMACHINETHATGIVESYOUANAMAZONGIFTCARD! When my coins got stuck, the manager was pretty helpful. They ended up having to call service to credit me the fee since they printed a $ 58 voucher when the machine jammed. After the clog was fixed, I was ready to keep throwing my money in the machine: D Good stuff. Going to spend $ 120 on stuff online now.

It’s a very clean grocery store located in a busy shopping center. They have okay prices here but still not dirt cheap. The store is very organized and clean. I like the delicatessen and produce section the most though. There’s also a pharmacy here which I’ve never been to so I can’t comment on that particular area of the store. The customers here are a bit older and upscale than your typical grocery shopper. There’s not a lot of checkout aisles unfortunately. I think having maybe at least two self-checkout aisles is a good idea. That way you won’t have to spend a lot of time in line with only a few items while waiting on the predominately middle aged and elderly peeps unloading their stuff from the shopping cart and whatnot.

I’ll have to agree with the initial review that this place is spotless. The times that I’ve gone, the employees have been really friendly and personable. My only concerns with this store and its location are the long wait times to purchase your items, and the horrible traffic going in and out of this shopping area. My last visit I picked up 1 bag of flour tortillas for our office potluck. There were only 2 registers open at the time, and I was in line for a good 20 mins. And this is for 1 item, people!!! It was lunchtime, and I counted a good dozen people in both lines. There are elderly folks that shop here, so be mindful of which line you stand in as they may take a while to unload groceries from carts and bust out their checkbooks. Perhaps going on a non-peak time is preferred…
