I have had a total of five cars tinted by Rik and will continue to go to him in the future. My first two cars were tinted while his shop was on base back in 2007. I was surprised to see that area closed down upon returning from a three year deployment to Japan. My wife and I immediately started the hunt to find the greatest tinter again. Little did we know he setup his own place just outside of base still within Marine territory. I will always find him to tint my cars, even if retires I will track him down and beg him to come out of retirement. :D my first two cars were tinted in 2007 and the tint is still perfect. They survived the harsh weather in Missouri for three years without any imperfections and they were not garaged, still have all five cars to prove it. Just be patient as he is a one man show which guarantees excellent work, I am the same way with my work. Thanks Rik, see you in the future.

I was back home on vacation with my new truck and wanted to get my windows tinted. I have a 2015 Ram 2500 quad cab, split rear window.
Rick explained tint options to me and educated me on tint in general. He uses exclusively Llumar tint which carries a legit warranty. He removed some cheap aftermarket tint off the two front windows and wrapped my truck in 15% with a sun strip. Price was fair and he was done right on time which was perfect. Truck turned out awesome and I am stoked.

So, I’d say I’m a pretty frugal shopper. & I know good quality when I see it! That being said, I did a lot of shopping around online and on Unilocal for the best place in tinting for the best price. Sunslayer may not be the cheapest in town, but you definitely get what you pay for! You’re paying for an exceptional product that’s backed by a lifetime guarantee & can be utilized at any licensed LLumar Dealer in the Country & Canada. Rick is the owner @ Sunslayer Window Tinting and does all of the tinting that comes to his business. Basically, because he wants to give the best quality work out there. The saying goes, «If you want something done right, then you must do it yourself.» And he did just that! Rick hooked up my GTI with the 15% LLumar. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work & his professionalism. The dude knows his sh*t!)

Called 3 times, they never returned my calls despite the door being wide open when I drove by. There are plenty of other businesses in the area that do tinting and I’ve taken my business there.

Had Sunslayer tint 3 windows on my van with ceramic tint and he slayed the S@!# out of the job! It looks insane! I love it. He did the windshield with the clear ceramic tint and that’s been the biggest difference. I do a lot of camping in the van and the ceramic really cuts down on the heat inside the vehicle. The quality of tint is top notch and the craftsmanship is second to none. I’ve had tint work done on 4 other vehicles and The Sunslayer’s work blows the other ones out of the water. I found Sunslayer through Unilocal.Rick tinted my ’03 VW Jetta (silver with black rub strips in pictures if you want to see) and it turned out AMAZING. It has now been a few months and the job is still just as flawless (minus me hitting my driver side with the seat belt, which Rick warned me about). I have already been referring this place to good friends of mine, so of course i absolutely refer it to anyone reading these reviews, you will not be disappointed. One thing that stood out about Rick compared to others I’ve talk to is his obvious passion for the job, which is a great feature to have. 5 stars easy.

I found Rick’s shop, Sunslayer, on Unilocal,and was amazed at all the 5 star reviews. Now I can see why he gets all 5 stars. I took my Honda Accord in for some new tint on the front driver and passenger windows. He got me in right away. Did a fantastic job! Rick is a craftsman in the real sense of the word: he knows his trade, he takes his time, and he gets it right. The proof is all there in the Unilocal photos: every one of those vehicle pictures were taken by Rick himself (he took pics of my car just moments after finishing the job). Excellent workmanship, superior quality materials, and customer service that goes above and beyond! After receiving several estimates of all pricing levels for the same job, and not feeling confident with the quality of materials and workmanship of the low cost competitors, I decided to move forward with Sunslayer. I brought in my niece’s car to be tinted, for a birthday gift wasn’t really sure what to expect… by 15 to 20 minutes there speaking with Rick I was ready to have Sunslayer tint the windows. I brought my 13 wrx hatchback and he was able to take it in and gave me a good deal. As others have said, Rick has 24+ years of tinting experience. This gentleman know his stuff. He is very meticulous, took his time, and showed it through his work. He is a long time supporter of the military and will cater to your needs. Please avoid those car audio shops on coast hwy that price there tints at $ 89. You get what you pay for. Here at Sunslayer, he uses top quality tint from Llumar. Those shops as i have been told will have you coming back because of the poor quality material. So do your self a favor, if the best tint, life time warranty and the only professional in north county to install it for you give Rick a call now, you don’t have to look no further.

Rick is the rockstar of tinting. I went in to have a couple windows tinted on my Element and he was so personable & his work is unbelievably top notch. On top of that we hung out while he was working and became fast friends.
I remember him working on base years ago and am now priveleged to have SunSlayer right next to my pad.
Will always go for my tinting needs for sure.
