I am very surprised to see a lot of bad negative or 3 star reviews. I’ve lived in San Marcos for over 2 years and this is by far my favorite pizza, pasta and more than anything customer service place. Before San Marcos I lived in Oceanside and their Oceanside location was great too. it has happened when they«estimate» my order to be ready in 30 – 45 min and if it takes a little longer I don’t care because I know I am getting freshly made food(I would definitely not give a 3 star just because took a little longer than expected). They are always super busy and there’s a reason why… they get a lot of order all day!!! Food quality is great and definitely serve bigger portions than what you pay for. Calzones are always a couple to a few inches bigger than what you pay for. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone.

If I could just review their pizza, I would give 5 stars. It’s some of the best pizza I’ve had. The crust is great, the sauce is perfect and it’s super cheesy and delicious. A fresh pizza is best, but if you’re short on time, they have pizza-by-the-slice that is good too. For their other items, I have had their chicken alfredo, bread sticks, antipasto salad, and spaghetti and meatballs. The bread sticks are terrible, flavorless, not-worth-the-calories, sticks of dry bread. The chicken alfredo was just ok and I wasn’t a fan of the spaghetti and meatballs. I don’t know what exactly was wrong with it, but I wouldn’t order it again. The antipasto salad was good though and I would get that again… with a pizza. I may try their lasagna one day, but I pretty much stick to their pizza. It’s great. By the way, they do have tables and booths inside for dining, but you order at the counter.

The food is great. The service is great. My favorite is the veggie calzone and I also like the sandwiches. My husband enjoys the spaghetti and the kids like the pizza and fettacinni alfredo The wait can be awhile, but it is not fast food!

Ordered a meats pizza over the phone, went in to pick it up and they said they didn’t have my name, phone number, or what I ordered in the system. The lady who I talked to was rude and made it seem like I never called. Waited 25 mins to get the pizza and wasn’t what I expected, super soggy in the middle. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Simple, straightforward pizza, nothing fancy, but they make one of the best classic-style pizzas I’ve ever tasted. A great pizza starts with the dough, and the fresh-made dough here is second to none. And they cook them perfectly every time. Just stick with pizzas here, because their pastas aren’t nearly as good. too greasy and outdated for my liking. Service is excellent, always friendly. The takeout line here at times goes out the door, which makes for long waits. But their pizza is a homerun.

Good place to visit when you’re looking for a quick bite of Italian food. I absolutely love the calzones, baked ziti and pizza. I recommend it, been eating here for 5 years.

I can’t complain about the food, it has always been good but… lets talk about telephone support and customer service??? Giovanna WHEREAREYOU? I had a big catering order for our company and we had to go somewhere else. I tried to call the Oceanside store and was hung up on. twice, called the San Marcos store and was hung up on there also. What is happening to my favorite pizza and spaghetti restaurant ???

First time we ordered carryout. Pizza was hot and tasty but about an hour wait time. It was long but we weren’t starving so I was okay with waiting. Second time we picked up and were quoted 45 minutes. My hubby waited nearly an hour for the pizza. Meanwhile, the pizza sat back there while the lady in the front did nothing to inquire what my hubby was waiting for. Another lady was kind enough to ask and we were able to get our pizza. When we got home, the pizza center was soggy and not very tasty. My first experience was great, second not so much! Hubby says we should give this place another chance… I’m not convinced yet. Boo for soggy pizza!!!

We had dinner there last night. We ordered a medium half pepperoni half cheese pizza, it was very good. We also ordered garlic cheese bread. It was a generous portion and delicious, with the Marinara sauce. We ordered gnocchi in a pesto cream sauce. My wife liked it, I thought it was so so. My wife ordered an antipasto salad which was a generous portion and fresh. I had a beer and she had wine, chianti. She stated it had a vinegar taste. It still was a pleasant dining experience. Staff was friendly and place was clean. My bill was approx. $ 40.00.

Being from New York, I’ve been spoiled with great pizza. This place comes pretty close to pizza from home. It’s one of the best places in the area to get pizza by the slice and everyone is friendly. It’s always my go to place

I take my pizza seriously being from Chicago. This is some good pizza! The crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Cheese is zesty and the sausage is so good!

This place is usually awesome, but after tonight I doubt i will return. Been a loyal customer for for 5 years. When I came there was not a person in line. Only 2 families in booths and a group outside. Two of those parties already had there food. I got cashed out at 6.15pm and did not get my food until 7 pm. When I was checked out I was not given a time, but told«i’ll let you know when they are done.» I ordered 2 small calazones, 1 large calazone and 3 canoli’s. Okay so not given a time I’m like awesome I should be getting them done and be out of here quick. NOPE After i have seen 4 other families come in a pick up there orders and 2 families come in get there food eat and leave. I am getting a little mad. I look back at the prep station at 6:45pm and i see a calazone being made. It looked liked the ingredients i ordered for one of my calazones. So 1 i’m angry it took 30 minutes to even start my order… why then wasn’t i given a time. I then go up to the counter which has no line but i still wait for the Front desk staff to come from the back. When I ask«how long does it take for a calzone to bake?» instead of an answer with a range. She ask me” Is my name heather?” she goes and checks on my order and then just past over my question. I ask again and then she says 7 minutes. Okay now I got a time. And i just love jumping through loops to get an answer. I was trying to determine if i should go get my daughter waiting for her dinner some food or go run an errand, so they can just continue to do their work at there pace, be what ever pace that be. What I learned DONOT tip before service is provided. T.I.P. = to insure promptness. this was not prompts nor great customer service. I understand that TIP are need to buffer your salary but don’t expect a TIP it is somethine that still needs to be an extra because of good, fast prompt service. When my calazone’s were done, she came and got me from my car, which was nice. I just didn’t want to fume in the restaurant. They only had my calazone ready. I had to ask for my canoli’s, I even had to tell her how many I had already paid for because she didn’t look at the ticket. When she asked made me feel like I inconvenienced her by asking for what I ordered. I waited while she went to the back and she had someone make them. Again another 7 to 10 minutes. She then just drops the box in front of my calazones and moves on with out eye contact, or even acknowledging that this was part of my order.(Still not super busy maybe like a very early dinner crowd) I reached over and open the box saw that it was mine and took it. She had moved on and did not even notice. Only saving grace and the reason they get two stars. Owners are amazing. The taste of the food is above par, not amazing but definitely above par.

Came in for the second time and got a big meatball sub and a stuffed spinach calzone. The calzone was on point but the sub was lacking in meatballs. When I’m paying $ 13 for a sandwich there shouldn’t be any bare bread. I’m sure I’ll come back again soon because the food does taste good, just a bit overpriced for the quantity.

If this shop was anywhere else, it would have probably received another star, but San Diego has some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. Therefore, 3 stars. Located in a strip mall at the corner of temple heights and Oceanside blvd, two brothers is a simple pizza/calzone/lasagna place where you order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. I was disappointed with their pizza by the slice options. They only had cheese pizza out. In fact, they usually only have cheese pizza and stuffed pizza available. With the stuffed pizza being out, I guess you don’t get a choice. I ordered the lasagna. I had originally intended to eat it there, but knew that it would be too much food for me to finish, so I told the lady at the counter that I would be eating it here, but I wanted it in a to go box already. When my lasagna arrived, it was completely wrapped up, perfect for me… to take home… OK I guess there was a miscommunication issue here. The food was pretty good though. The lasagna was large as I had predicted, but not so big that it would be considered family style. It is definitely enough for 2 meals my size. The lasagna was packed full of cheese. I would have preferred a little more meat, but who doesn’t love cheese?! The bread, was… bread. It had a little garlic seasoning sprinkled on top, but nothing to write home about. In summary, if you need to order a pizza fast, order here, but that’s about it.

Been here twice, first time I had the mozzarella sausage sub, second time a torpedo. They were both delicious and very filling. The lady who works there is very nice. I would definitely come back to this original location for the delicious subs and great customer service!

When I lived in the area I would come here about once a week. Most of the time I would get two slices a drink and a cannoli. This place is in a little plaza that could use a little help on the curb appeal. It’s next to a karate place so you’ll feel safe ha ha. The pizza is pretty good but can be a little greasy but still tasty. The price isn’t bad at all for the slices, whole pies or the sandwiches. It’s not a fancy Italian restaurant and they do have wine. A lot of families come here and a lot of regulars which is cool because they keep Two Brothers in business. This is a great place to get some pizza and their connoli’s are pretty good.
