Adventures Unlimited

Had a blast with my friends! I would recommend this to anyone! It definitely keeps you on your toes, and we had great instructor. Shout out to Challes, she made the whole experience 100 times better!!!

We had an awesome trip down the Ocoee River. Our tour guide Alek was amazing. Very knowledgeable and super engaged in his trip experience. He made sure we not only had an awesome trip down but that we knew the history of the place. And the best part was that it was boring the way he interacted with us by telling the stories behind the history. It’s a great trip and a must do for a bucket list item. Only suggestion is don’t go in May lol. It’s a little chilly to say the least.

The pictures on their website made the camp ground seem extremely nice. Once we got there, it was a ran down camp ground with nice bungalows (which I stayed in). There was really no opportunity for privacy. There was one fire pit you had to share with others. There was no pond for fishing or really anything else to do besides white water raft. The staff was friendly but for the most part clueless. We went white water rafting and that was a blast but paid $ 70 for video and photos. $ 32 was the price for photos, I received 28 pictures, so more than $ 1 per picture. The images were awful. One person basically just snapped a bunch of pictures at once in one location. Most of the images were of the boats underside, going over a wave. Then the video… my go pro had better footage than their video. They use a 360 camera, sounds cool but it’s not. The camera had weird angels and our legs looked really bad because the curved with the angels. The town it’s located in has nothing to do. It was alright all around but I will not be returning because the trip cost $ 700 and it was worth about $ 300.

Amazing staff and awesome campus! Austin was such a great guide, we had so much fun! The Mexican place is great too! We will definitely be back!

AU was well-​maintained, clean, and was able to handle a good crowd. Well-​organized too. My raft guide, Leon (guy with the horns on his helmet), was great! Leon knew the history of the area around the river and he knew the river like he was born on it. He kept the mood humorous and fun the whole ride – entertaining stories too! Whether you have been 5 times or this is the first, THIS is the company.

I’ve used adventures unlimited a few times to white water raft the ocoee river. Each time has been great. But this time stood out as awesome. This time we had the guide Josh lemon who was just amazing. He has been a guide on the ocoee for close to two decades and it shows. He took us down the harder parts of the river and had a ton of fun while we all stayed in the raft. I’m definitely getting him as my guide when I come next year.

For the wife’s birthday she wanted to go white water rafting for the 1^st time. We found AU online and made a reservation. So with 3 of our friends the 5 of us headed out. It’s was about a 2 and half hour drive coming from Smyrna, TN. We got paired up with our guide Leon. He made our friends and the wife feel better about this potentially dangerous adventure we were taking. We had a short bus ride to where we actually got into the water. Leon went over all the safety rules and commands with us. After getting in the water and hitting our 1^st class 4 rapid, it’s safe to say we are all hooked. Leon was great, we all felt safe the entire trip. We all had a great time and we will be coming back. We might even buy a season pass for next season.
On a side note I was saddened to learn that the TVA is trying to shutdown all the the white water rafting companies in the area. This would be catastrophic for this entire town. You can actually go this website
to help the these wonderful companies save there employees jobs.

This was my first rafting trip and it was wonderful. Our guide Alek was great. My friend and I did the full trip which is around 6 hours and they provide a delicious lunch. We decided to stay in Chattanooga and drive there, it was around a 45 minute drive. They do have cabins and camp grounds at AU. The next trip I will probably try one of the cabins.

Had a great time rafting on the Ocoee River today! There was many different rafting levels which made the experience a blast! Payth was a great guide with many jokes that provided great entertainment! I will definitely be back!

Best time of my life!!! Adventure Unlimited is awesome… especially if you fancy man buns and mountain beards. As rafting virgins we had so much fun.
The facilities were excellent and clean. The staff was friendly and the guides were great!!! Levi was our guide and he was really good. You should request him. We felt safe at all times but still got plenty wet. We saw several other outfitters stuck on rocks, flipping boats, and generally not being as good as Adventure Unlimited.

On vacation from AZ visiting my brother and his family, not our first rafting trip but for sure the BEST one!!! What a blast we had!!! On a scale of 1 – 10 this was a 10+++++++!!!
I am pretty sure our guide Payth blows the rest of the guides out of the water! He was funny and so personable, my daughter could not say enough about how much fun she had with him. When you go you HAVE to request him and i promise you will not be disappointed. Can not wait to come back to TN and do another trip this time we are going to hit the lower along with the upper river. Can not wait!!!

Chris was our tour guide. He was great + was really personable with us. This was my first time water rafting, but the rest of my group had all gone before. They said this was one of the best trips they have had.
The water felt really refreshing and it was super fun. I will be back!

This was my first time white water rafting and it was a blast! We are visiting family from Cali and Chris S showed us a great time and was the best guide! My SIL was the only person to fall out but he made sure to show us a great time but to also keep us safe. Thanks Chris S («Nitrous Circus» I think is is nickname)!

This was a blast. Only regret is that we only did the middle river instead of the full. Would love to go back and do the full if I get the opportunity. Alek was our guide and he definitely improved upon the experience with the personable presentation of the rapids and keeping things entertaining.

Chuck was our tour guide. He was awesome at his job. We had tons of fun and look forward to returning next month.
They have on-​site camping and it was perfect for our crew of folks. We did the half day trip, but next time we are planning to do the full.

I’ve always loved rafting the ocoee and at this point I’ve gone with the majority of the outfitters. Adventures Unlimited has always been my favorite. The guides are very well trained and know the river inside and out. They make it obvious that they want you to have a safe and fun trip. Two trips ago with them my group and I asked our guide to make the trip as rough as possible on us. He did. Sure enough I ended up falling out during one of the rapids. Without missing a beat my guide along with all of the other guides threw life lines to me. I made it back to the raft unscathed and we went back on with our excursion. Of all the ocoee outfitters, I would highly recommend Adventures Unlimited.

Great trip down the Ocoee River. Our river guide was experienced and made the trip fun and easy. Adventures Unlimited has good facilities, equipment and a knowledgable staff.
The food however was not good. They were out of almost everything and what they did have was dried out and inedible. We ended up throwing it all away.
If you are going rafting, Adventures Unlimited is great. Ask for Woody… He’s a wonderful guide… Just be sure to eat before you go.

This was my second time rafting with Adventures Unlimited, each time it has been a great experience! This year we did the short trip. Checking in with the office was quick and painless thanks to the friendly staff. They even directed my friend to a selection of reasonably priced water shoes when he forgot his own.
Once we grabbed the paddle, life jacket and helmet that were provided we climbed into the bus. Sit on the passenger side on the way up for the best views! Maybe 10 minutes later you arrive and go through a quick lesson in white water rafting. Very informative and not overwhelming to newbies.
Our guide Levi was fantastic, he asked the group if we wanted it mild or wild. And he gave us just what we asked for– lots of splash, bumps and adventure. He was willing to throw in to make our trip what we wanted. In the last effort to do so he went overboard, taking two of us with him. It was amazing! Makes the story telling after even better ;)
My only trip regret was going at 4:30, it meant I couldn’t get back on the bus and go back for more. You’ll leave wishing you could do this all of the time! (Or at least I do)
