I grew up in nearby Cleveland, TN, where the Ocoee River has been a longtime favorite place of mine. We took many family trips to the surrounding forests and my father used to bring me to the Ocoee to collect rocks. My first trip down the Ocoee was actually on a body board. I love rafting, kayaking, camping, mtn biking, and spending as much time on the water as possible. I’ve been on numerous rivers in the U.S. including the Gauley, New, Chattooga, Cheoah, and Russell Fork to name a few. Some friends and I completed a 21-day expedition down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon in 2009. I graduated from Tennessee Tech Univ. in 1998 with a degree in Business Management. After working in the insurance and music industries for 10 years in Minnesota, Nashville, and Atlanta, I’m glad to be back home with the people and place I love the most. During my down time, I’m a drummer with the City of Chattanooga Pipeband and I also volunteer with the Walker Valley High School drumline.
