The rooftop dining overlooking Fowler lake is great for lunch or dinner. Not Gourmet but great sandwiches and burgers. Choice of 5 different types of fries and above average bar food and atmo on the roof.

Food was pretty typical bar food. Ordered a burger without a bun(I have a gluten allergy) and the presentation wasn’t great, looked like something I would have made myself. It tasted fine(what burger doesn’t?). It was too cold to sit outside, but it’s probably really nice to sit on the rooftop patio overlooking the lake in the summer! For my gluten free peeps, I believe they have GF pizza crusts but I have not tried them.

They’ve got potential but this is not what should be expected of a bar /restaurant in Lake Country with a Lake View. I would have given them 2 stars but I simply don’t want to hurt their business by being harsh and I’m only going off of two experiences. I am writing this review months and months after my experience so my emotions are not a factor. My wife and I went with our toddler looking for food and do not go to bars so I can only speak to the dining experience. The pizza is actually tasty. They hand make it to order as far as I can tell. Our Hawaiian was pretty good but the service was extremely slow and I found that there was simply a lack of service instinct(which is a requirement for being in the service industry IMHO). I have had a nice date with my wife in a previous experience so I have reason to believe that if you get a server that understands what a dining experience should be at this level you might have a good experience but that was not the case with my second time here. I will likely be back because I hope to see this place turn around. Also, there really is a shortage of good places to eat in Oconomowoc. There are some great places but not very many of them, therefore, I’ll most likely give this place another chance.

Very odd people there and the waitress we had was drunk! Couldn’t talk and forgot what we ordered. Never again!

The food can be good here but it is very hit or miss depending on your waitress or who’s in the kitchen. The owner needs to focus on quality control and hold her staff to higher standards. We really used to like going to Lakerz but have cut back due to many disappointments. We were there yesterday… our pizza was over cooked the bleu balls were frozen in the center and garlic bread was cold. Also while our waitress was running around with her head cut off another waitress was sitting at a table chatting with who looked to her boyfriend.:(

We’ve dined here twice in the last year. In the summer, the rooftop patio is one of the nicest places to have a drink and/or a meal in Oconomowoc. A large variety of pizzas and beers are offered, along with standard bar appetizers. Beer list is better than average for a lake country sports bar — a few craft beers are offered, and they’ve been fresh when we ordered them. Our pizza was not outstanding, but better than the other chain restaurants offering pizza in town. Service is good. Can be slow when busy, but the staff is gracious. I don’t mind sitting on the patio longer on a beautiful summer night!

I have had nothing but good experiences with this little hole-in-the-wall gem. I have only been there for lunch. Most of the time with my three kids. They are very patient with the kiddos. Our food has been great. The Oconomowoc burger with a veggie burger patty and the sweet potato fries is one of my favorite guilty indulgences in town. I’ve only been on the rooftop patio once since it opened and it was very pleasant. It was brand new at the time. Could use some flowers or a little love, but then again it is essentially a lovable dive bar. Not expecting too much in that department. Overall a townie fave.

I have been to Lakerz about a half dozen times and it was always great until last night. The bar was short staffed so it took about 15 minutes for the server to acknowledge my family and I. No big deal. Everyone has been there. She takes our drink order, apologizes for the wait, and gives us menus. We make our choices before she comes back and give her our order. She takes the order and about 35 minutes later our food comes out. 2 of the burgers we ordered were red in the middle. They still smelled raw. We waited 25 minutes for her to come back. She came back with the bill. She saw 2 of the burgers only had one bite in them and she makes a gross face when she sees how raw the burgers still are. She asks if we would like them to make us new burgers, we decline. She then asks us if we want to take the raw burgers home. We decline again. She then says she is going to adjust the check. For 3 burgers and a kids meal, we end up paying $ 28 after 2 of the burgers were taken off. She still charged us for a basket of fries since the burgers came with fries and the drinks(non-alcoholic). So after spending $ 30 at Lakerz, only 2 of our party of 4 are full. And then this morning, both of us who bit into the raw burgers had the runs. What a terrible experience! When a restaurant completely screws up your dining experience and still makes a grab for as much cash as they can, it really turns you off from ever coming back. Everyone makes mistakes… it is how they react to those mistakes that determine if people come back. They made us pay for their mistakes. It is too bad because they have tasty burgers when they are cooked right.

We decided to check out the new rooftop patio and were happy with the scenery and live music but thoroughly disappointed with the service and food. Upon arrival, we came up the new exterior stairs and were about to sit down at one of the 3 open tables but were greeted by a server that told us there was a waiting list– not telling us where the list was. Heading into the building I see the list and asked another server to put us down. We headed down to grab a beer in the bar and before I even paid they called for us– probably 3 mins after we were asked to sign in. Didn’t make much sense for not letting us sit right away. We then waited 20 mins for someone to ask if we wanted to order. Our pizza came out cold and not very good. Time to pay– card and receipt brought back to me with nothing to sign. Asked the bartender for help and he said it wasn’t something he could do but did get me the receipt copy to sign. My daughter was questioned by the bartender what she was doing in the bar when she had to use the restroom as well. Thinking Lakerz spent all their money on the new patio and forgot about service. Been here many times and not sure I’d go back.

Burgers here are pretty darn good. Decent selection of microbrews. The medium and medium-rare burgers I’ve had here were nice and juicy with good quality beef. A big selection of toppings for build-your-own, as well at least a dozen menu-burgers. The fries here are also really good. Portion sizes are fairly big, and the price is right.

One of our favorite places in Oconomowc. Standard Wisconsin bar. Good burgers, good pizza. In the summer we sit outside with the dogs and the waitstaff brings out treats for the dogs and leaves water in bowls for them. Sometimes service is a little slow outside, they can be understaffed at times so it’s understandable. Used to bother us but we know what we’re getting and we’re in no rush and understand that the staff might be a little over worked especially if a big crowd comes in. Food is worth it. Usually have some unique burger specials. Friendly crowd. Thursday nights they have an open jam that’s pretty entertaining.

This felt like one of the more typical, traditional bars around town. Nothing too special, but fun all the same. Of the three bars we hit up on a recent Friday night, it was by far the most crowded. We got a great table right up by the front window, which was fun for people-watching while we threw back a few beers. I can’t say much for the food, since we only sampled the onion rings, but they were very good. Bathrooms were clean.

The initial feeling upon entering is a clean spot with an unusual group of men in suits at the bar.(wedding party) After we seated ourselves it was easy and quick to order. Must have been the end of luck. It took a really long time for potato skins and sweet potato fries and after asking we found out my salad wasn’t coming. She totally forgot it! No adjustment or offer for anything after forgetting the food I was planning to eat. My husband was good with his food and shared. The point was that I had hoed to go healthy and didn’t get the chance. Didn’t matter to server. She was so busy visiting at bar that we had trouble getting her attention anyway.

Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it, but I would go back. They had a decent amount of tap beers, including enough local flavor to keep me happy as a first time visitor to the area, and the staff was very friendly to us. Nearly too friendly, but they were very helpful. There was definitely a very regular crowd hanging out there, especially in the back room where they have three nice pool tables spread out. There is a nice jukebox machine back there with a great variety. I was there on a Saturday night and they had a DJ playing tunes straight from YouTube. No one was dancing. actually there really weren’t many people there, but from talking to people it does get busier. The prices were fine, decorations throughout were fine too. Right behind the place is a lake, which is nice because right in front of it is downtown Oconomowoc. Good mix.

Walking in this place is like walking into a lot of small town pubs in Wisconsin. Very homey, decorated with sports memorabilia, dartboard, pool tables, etc. I was worried when I saw that the margaritas came out of a premixed tap, but I digress. I ordered a 1/3lb. cheeseburger with jalapeños, bacon and BBQ sauce. I went with the sweet potato fries as a side. The food was great. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I have had. The cheeseburger was better than that of most big chains. My penchant for finding the hole-in-the-wall place to eat when traveling really paid off here. If you are ever in need of a good little place for lunch in Oconomowoc, WI, try this place out and you might be surprised.
