Holy moly what a dump. It’s been steadily going downhill for a number of years. It’s dirty. They ran out, I mean OUT of towels for two days. The breakfast buffet is awful and they no longer have the omlet/​waffle bar.
It’s dark and dingy. Clearly they’re waiting to either die or for the massive road construction in front of the place to finish up in a year or two.
Drunken wedding guests all night long.
There was someone FREAKING out to the manager at the desk the next morning about the wedding reception. He was *not* happy.
Too bad. Nice enough staff, just no budget for the basics. Go elsewhere.

I had a good time here. The staff was really nice and helpful. It does appear a little run-​down in the rooms and the amenities were not all available when I stayed but overall a pretty decent place. I’d stay again.

Stole from my room. Seriously watcg your belongings here, or they will dissappear. Hopefully this post prevents another theft…

This resort has taken a turn for the worst!!! The last two stays have been TERRIBLE! The place is terribly outdated. This last stay we change rooms three times. The first room was cold with what appeared to be water damage in the ceiling which was hanging. The hall way leading to the room smelled like smoke. The second room the heater didn’t work at all. The third room had cobwebs. The bar area also had cobwebs throughout. The young lady at the front desk appeared to be clueless. The hotel was basically empty. The comedy show well I won’t go into that. But I will never return! This resort is nothing more then a glorified MOTEL! Why is it you can’t give zero stars 0

Ive been going here for about 6 yrs, slowly its been going down in my favorite places. Hotel without a dout needs updating & remodeling. Much of spa equipment doesnt work. Service isnt real good, many new employees non stop, so no one knows whats going on. I got a good price on the room,. The location is nice„ quiet and peaceful. The food is pretty good also The door stoppers dont work on doors, so lots of door banging in hallways. Best time to go is during the summer.

This hotel was a nice quiet place to relax. I only stayed a night during the week but it was what I was looking for. A nice room overlooking the pool and pond. I didn’t use any of their services this time but I’ve the dp a package in the past and it was wonderful.

If it wasn’t for the dirtiness of the hotel and lack of knowledgeable employees this could well be a four or five star review. Hotel room was nice but coffee maker had old coffee in it. Hot tub area never got cleaned in the three days I was there. I know this because there was a string on the floor right in the center for three days. the guy who’s in charge of chemicals in the hot tub is not very knowledgeable because he put the chemicals in at 9 o’clock in the morning instead of overnight when the guests will not be getting in for a couple of hours. The indoor pool needs to be drained and repainted. The hallway carpet could use a good shampooing. The waitress at breakfast overcharged for our meals, did not bring us creamer for our coffee and did not explain the waffle/​omelette station to us. but after complaining to management we received an hour of the golf simulator for free. The one and only waitress Saturday night for dinner failed to explain to us what came with our prime rib meal. The prime rib was not cooked to order so The waitress took my wife’s glass of wine off the bill. On to the Indigo club/​bar there were two bartenders that were amazing one was the manager and the other one was a younger gentleman I believe his name was Tony. There was a female bartender that worked the night shift who had her boyfriend come in and sit at the bar during her shift which she did a shot of Jack Daniels with Friday night. Unfortunately Friday and Saturday night The bar was very empty even though Friday was karaōke and Saturday was a comedy show. The food at the bar was pretty good the bartenders seemed knowledgeable and very friendly. Me and my wife played darts and a game of pool after the comedy show was over. The comedy show was good considering there was only 18 people in the entire room. Me and my wife visited the jewelry shop inside of the hotel and have a pleasant conversation with the owner we also left with a couple of beautiful items that were handcrafted. So for the most part this place just needs a good scrubbing and management needs to step up their game.

Stayed here for a wedding in August and was extremely disappointed. The resort needs to be renovated. My room was clean, but others in our group complained of dirty rooms and poor housekeeping. The lighting was so poor that makeup and hair was impossible. Would never recommend this resort.

The place is fine, granted a bit outdated but rooms were very clean and comfortable! I spent an hour with Ashley the bartender, she was very friendly and outgoing… I am a road warrior who is so tired of big cities… this is a great alternative to Milwaukee.

Wow, what a great time… Great Place, Pool, Spa, Bars, Restaurants…

We had our dinner here, dinner was great, ALL of the food was great, at the Restaurants…
The Staff was excellent, friendly, and helped make this annual event, a huge success…

We are here for 5 days. I am extremely happy with the service, the room, the banquet areas, the staff everything!
The food is great and very affordable, homemade chips, sandwiches are huge and very fresh and tasty, breakfast very good, and the amount is huge! They bend over backwards, have taken care of any and all issues that have come up. I happened to mention my bed was a little soft, when I came back they replaced it with a new mattress, firm I AM SO HAPPY.
The owner, the managers are every where making sure we are happy, and content.

I love this place! You get so much and the prices are very reasonable. We had a nice room with a patio over looking the outdoor pool and pond area. The pool is great and has a bar/​grill. They also have an indoor pool if the weather is bad. The hot tubs are in the spa area. They have a huge work out room. The restaurant is good but has strange hours. The bar is very nice for a hotel bar and has entertainment on the weekends. I will be going back.

Spending time with family can be awesome but spending time on an overpriced brunch in the OC is not that cool. First, we had an 11:30 am reservation and waited over 20 minutes just to prepay and finally get seated. There were tons of tables open but there was only one cash register setup in front… one of the first epic fails for this place.
For almost $ 30 a person I expect a hell of a lot more than a couple of food stations and plastic long tables disguised with some Easter décor with balloons. The «Easter bunny» looked some crazed felt furry that lingered around for wayward children.
The $ 30 cost of admission got you a dessert buffet that was decent… the chocolate fountain gives them a thumbs up. The breakfast portion was horribly weak with limp bacon and substandard sausage with very few options beyond omelettes, potatoes, and french toast.
So now I am finally expecting something really great from the dinner portion… oh…again so disappointed. Prime rib which was okay, ham, cordon bleu, oscar cod, pork, potatoes, etc. For $ 30 I would have expected peel and eat shrimp or some crab legs on the buffet.
Including the kiddie station and dessert station there were a total of 6 stations. For the lack of ambiance, limited food selections and poor service I thought it was very overpriced.

Nice hotel… however I think I overpayed for my hotel room. No complimentary breakfast, took my kids to the game room… no lights, there were 2 games and they didnt work. My 2 kids and I enjoyed the pool but we could have found something else cheaper and with better quality. Most of the place seems really nice except for the fact that a lot of the hotel seems to have been forgotten about.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at (unless you count that dive from Spring Break in college). The room is dated. Brings me back to 1980 but add mold in the bathroom, a disgusting refrigerator, stains on the sink, sticky lamps, and a rash from the sheets on the bed.

This place is a wonderful resort… if perhaps you go in a time capsule back to 1975. Very worn out and past its’ prime.
I can only think of 2 nice things to say. .1. the guy working the desk on the evening shift, Gavin, was nice, friendly, smiled and worth writing a postive review about. 2. The woman at the restaurant that fixed my to go coffee went out of her way to take care of me.
The rest… wow. they need some lessons in customer service.
The day guy at the desk. find something to be happy about.please. have a drink, a piece of chocolate, or even some bacon. just smile… just once a day!
The girl in the bar. even when you are busy. .be nice. cash tips could come your way.. Instead, people choose to go elsewhere. and I am usually a really good tipper… you lose!
Walls are thin. .you can hear everything.
Rooms are ¼ mile from front door. (Lots of exercise)
They don’t vacuum the rooms well. .2 pills on the floor.

What a dump.
1) the place is lit like the bat cave
2) the pools are as cleans as a kiddy pool
3) my towels look to be eaten by a mountain troll
4) the service was awful
5) the spa looked like a morgue
6) my room smelled link cheap cologne
7) I decided not to eat for all the above reasons
8) why anyone would book a conference here is beyond me. Did they ever take a tour?
9) the décor never left the late 80s
10) there hasn’t been a dollar of investment since the 80s

Rarely do I feel compelled to write a bad review… only do it when something is absolutely awful. This place is truly terrible! Like several others have already said, the pictures are absolutely deceiving. It’s stinky, dirty and there are leaks everywhere. They sprinkle the carpets with pet odor remover so heavily, it makes it hard to breathe walking down the hall to your room.
The only friendly staff is the very nice young boy at the front desk, other than that, no one really seems to care at all, that is if you can find them in the first place. Both mornings we went into the café for breakfast, there’s no hostess at the front desk and the first day I actually had to go towards the back and peek in to get someone’s attention. The food is not even mediocre and the service stinks. Can you believe they close at noon for lunch? What kind of conference center does that?
I could go on and on, but I think you get the point, don’t waste your money here.

WOW!!! What a joke! My husband & I needed a short term place to stay while we waited to close on our house. The online ads showed a wonderful suite, with a kitchenette, nice beds, wifi, clean rooms & more. OMGosh!!! We were treated like steerage when we went to the «long term» level of the hotel. No towels, no housekeeping, dirty carpets, smelly rooms, mold, torn bedding, no hot water, no housekeeping, as advertised & no room service because «long term» doesn’t get it!
My husband almost got raped on the elevator, by another «long term» tenant & was called a bitch when he refused to join them in their room for «drinks».
We were told at one point, sorry were sort staffed, & that’s my problem why??? We requested towels 3x on one day & NEVER received any.
When we 1^st checked in, we were short changed in essence. The front desk staff was preoccupied with his buddy standing next to us at the front desk. He wasn’t paying attention & didn’t credit us for the two nights we paid upon check in. We were told later that we were wrong, by staff, until we went to the front desk & asked them to count the bank from that night… LOW & BEHOLD it was over by the amount we PAID!
We paid over $ 1000 for a 3 week stay, because of the ads & no lease needed. It reminded me of downtown Waukesha when they make all the shelter people leave for the day. It was a free for all. Parties in the halls & fights in the parking lots. PS, these photos are NOT at all what the hotel & grounds look like. There is NO golf course & NO ski hill, both have been sold. The place looks like its ready to go into receivership or foreclosure. Also the staff had multiple tatts, and their presentation was less then acceptable.

Horrible! The room was outdated (no hi-​def TV and run down in general) and so dirty that my husband had to put socks on because the bottom of his feet were filthy from the carpet. When we went to the restaurant, they had 1 crayon in the entire restaurant for my son! The in-​room refrigerator stopped working in the middle of the night and my son’s milk went bad. When I reported it to the front desk, they did absolutely nothing in response to my complaint. Won’t ever return — I’d rather stay at the discount hotel up the street than pay $ 133 for a room here again!
