History

Established in 2001.

Brooks Technical Electrical started in 2001 during an energy crisis. We started installing photovoltaic systems (solar electric systems) on homes and businesses. Gradually we diversified into other technical aspects of electrical contracting.

The owner, Ron Brooks started in the Navy as an Electronics Technician on board a destroyer. After the Navy he went back to school and earned a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from UCSD. Wanted to serve a higher cause, help people, and earn a living he found electrical contracting to be his calling.

Business Owner

The owner, Ron Brooks started in the Navy as an Electronics Technician on board a destroyer. After the Navy he went back to school and earned a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from UCSD. Wanted to serve a higher cause, help people, and earn a living he found electrical contracting to be his calling. Ron re-​enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2005 completed Warrant Officer Candidate School and the Warrant Officer Basic Course (in an Information Technology Specialty). He has deployed twice for the Army to Kuwait and Afghanistan. Returning from Afghanistan in December 2011 he is engaged in restarting his electrical contracting business.
