Nothing but good things to say about this credit union. Initially I was skeptical about canceling my account with Bank of America and converting to this credit union. However, La Chica convinced me that it would be a solid move. Now, a little over a year later, I couldn’t be more pleased with the decision. The customer service here is extraordinary, and much like the Wu-​Tang Clan, it aint nothin to F with. Specifically, Karen. She walked us through a myriad of loan options and descriptions of to help us find the one which was perfect for us. What is actually a very complex web of information and processes was broken down and made very comprehensive due to her 10 years of service. It is simply no wonder why this credit union has retained her for so many years. Additionally, every single person who works in this branch which I have had contact with has been nothing but professional and courteous. I would recommend this credit union and this location to anyone whom I know.

We had mistakenly been short paying our car loan by a whopping $ 1.83 per month… Totally our fault. BUT, instead of calling all of our contact numbers or sending us a letter, SSFCU reports this to the credit bureaus and dings my wife’s and my credit by 100 points. When called about this, they said «not our fault». I will be ending my relationship as soon as I can, and I will go with a credit union that care enough to call/​mail about things like this before killing my credit. A little human touch vs. automated calling would have solved this. All for $ 1.83/month…nice customer service!

I may never go to another branch again! I have always loved my bank, but recently when I lost my everything and I went to this tiny little Branch in a strip mall next to an Ace Hardware I was so pleasantly shocked with the service I received! I walked in with nothing and sat for a minute after signing in. The ladies in the window tried to help me, I said no, thanks! Rita came a minute later and walked me to her office assuring me that whatever my plight I’d walk out content. She pulled up an image of all my ID’s and proceeded to get to work canceling all my cards, offered me an ATM card, got me a withdrawal slip all filled out so I’d have some cash while everything was figured out, and even closed a spare account for me. Noticed I’d be going on a trip, offered to set up an out of country notification. I wasn’t even there for a full five minutes! I feel so sorry for members of other banks, the incessant fees and red tape. This made my day.
