I was EXTREMELY disappointed in our visit here on a Sunday evening. When I first passed by this lovely little gem, I knew it would be the place to go enjoy some yummy Brews with a fun atmosphere and even better patrons to have a food conversation with. I understand this bar is in transition between owners and of course I will give it a try maybe in a few months. But man, this was a bummer. The new and old owner were seated at the bar and there was only one other couple in the entire bar. Noone seemed enthused at all that we as customers walked in the door. We even mentioned it was our first visit.nothing. I’m not the type that has to be entertained by any means but this was just wow. We grabbed a game of dominos from the game table and played two games, drank two beers and couldn’t wait to get out of there. If you notice any of my other reviews you will see I am primarily a very positive reviewer. I just felt so let down. This bar is definitely a little out of the way for us, so considering that it may be a while before we come back to visit.

Went in during Christmas holiday, ordered a fish and chips and a couple beers. Food was delicious … prepared outside in a food bus. Had a fun time. Thought we would return last night. Noticed food truck was not operating. Upon entering we noticed a sign on the door that stated the bus and pub were for sale! I went up to the bar and asked if they were serving food, and although there were two guys behind the bar, no one responded. One of the guys behind the bar was stuffing a piece of Pizza Hut pizza in his mouth. I said I guess not, and still no one responded. We turned around and left. Probably why it’s for sale.

The movie was sold out on a rainy Sunday, so my wife and I end up stumbling upon this weird little place called The Wild Rover. This place had a cool, relaxed vibe, and was nearly dead when we entered. No matter, the IPA was great, along with the chips(the english kind) with vinegar(the only way). Wild Rover is one of the better Tampa nano-breweries.

The Wild Rover is stop two of my exploration of small breweries in northern Hillsborough. Escape was last Saturday. Great English Pub vibe. Met the owners and extended family. Really nice people. Had a Saison, Brown and a Stout. Excellent beers with a personal touch. One previous review talked about the smell and well mate I would say it is beer! They brew just off of the bar and common area. I gave it a 4 star because I did not try the food. The double decker bus kitchen sits right outside. We’re going back again soon for a few beers and some Fish & Chips and Shepard Pie.

Awesome place, great beer! Felt like I was in a pub in England, fun experience and comfortable atmosphere. Enjoyed their in house brews and good selection of wine! Hidden gem!

Ok. If you like craft beer and a bit of the old country, you will love this oasis. Contrary to another review Derek is charming and the place smells great. Good service and charming relatives from Brighton add to the ambience.

I thought it couldn’t get any better… but now they have games. Life = complete. This place never ceases to make me happy. Derek and his family are fantastic, easygoing, super friendly people and it makes me feel good when I walk into a place and they know my name(and what my favorite beer mix is… The Sister Golden Ale mixed with the Hops on for Nowhere) The beers are beautifully crafted and they are always adding new ones to the menu… but don’t worry, they always keep the favorites. The scotch ale«Just Like Honey» is so good. My always favorite go-to beer is the«Sister Golden Ale» though. It’s always refreshing and always hits the spot. Good food, great beer, fantastic company. Love this place.

wife and i have lived in odessa for 20 plus years and its nice to have a brew house to stop and enjoy a pint or 2. But there are other options even if you have to drive another 5 minutes. The very first thing i noticed when i walked in was the smell! There is a stench when you walk in like the the grease traps are never cleaned or something. Another thing is the dad is pretty flipping arrogant like he and his place is the best thing since sliced bread. I dont plan on going back!

Who would of thought you could find a nice quaint and quiet place to enjoy some wonderful craft beers in Odessa. My friend and I usually stop in every two weeks or so for some Green Goblin cider and their homemade brews. Clean, non-smoking, etc… It’s a great place to go!

I didn’t expect these yummy locally made beers in this joint. Great food and beer. Better come early to get a seat.

Wonderful place to come by for English-style beers and a solid Pub atmosphere. Four cask ales on tap every time I’ve been here. Where else in the Tampa area can you find so many cask beer offerings? I’ve sampled the fish and chips also. They were excellent with great flavor from the batter. They’ve got around a dozen beers on tap at any given time along with close to just as many wines and a couple ciders. Have enjoyed every beer I’ve sampled so far and will be back often.

Great beer and outstanding fish & chips. Owners/operators are awesome. Very relaxed environment. Reminds me a lot of the«off the beaten path» pubs in Ireland. Highly recommend.

Amazing brews! I didn’t get to try any food, but I can’t wait to go back. The décor is a little bright, but it’s got an great pub vibe. Darken it up and bring in some authentic music and I may have to live there! I’m sure I’ll be changing my rating after trying the food.

I was shocked to find this place last night. I live in Westchase and this is truly a gem! They brew all their drafts in house and you can kind of see their equipment through one of the back doors, it’s really neat. There is no service at the tables so you must go to the bar to order and pay for a drink. There seems to be a decent amount of seating. There was a darts board in the corner, and the whole place had an old British vibe to it. Bathroom was clean and comfortable(at least the ladies’ was). I did not see a TV to watch any local sports teams, but I wasn’t really looking. This is a good place to unwind and catch up with friends distraction-free. I did notice a couple people bring their dogs inside, which excited me because I would also like to bring my 4-legged companion in. Note: They do not serve food, but there is a couple of food trucks that seem to rotate in and out depending on the day. None of them seem vegetarian friendly. Yesterday there was a BBQ truck and I can pretty much guarantee there wasn’t any raw-vegan things on the menu. So if you eat clean, eat somewhere else or at home and then circle back here for some local beer.

I love how friendly and adorable this place is. It gets pretty packed full of local yokels each night even on week nights, and the food trucks continue to roll on thru. There’s an outdoor Biergarten for smokers, and the décor screams Olé English Pub. The clientele are older locals, but there are usualy a few kids running around as well.(might have been an adult birthday event) I enjoyed a Mild Rover at cask temperature(cold, but not sub zero) that I found refreshing and smooth at a temp closer to cool than icey. It’s not my favorite yet since they don’t carry ciders or meads, but very fine indeed!

This place is small, but mighty. Beers on tap, cask and they’re all brewed in house. They also have wine if you’re into that sort of thing. I haven’t had a chance to try all the beers. So far I’ve tried the Mild Rover and the Sisters Belgian Ale. Of the two, I’m not sure which I like best. I’m leaning towards the Belgian tho, just because it reminded me of a Triple. The staff here is friendly, and rumor has it, they’re going to be adding their own food truck to the property. Currently, they rotate different trucks in via a schedule. This really is a fantastic watering hole, and it fills a niche in the Odessa-Keystone area.

SO excited about this place! Having lived in Odessa my entire life there has never been a place to go have a drink so close to home let alone such a quaint pub. For being brand new it definitely has character and it’s own vibe. All of the draft beers are brewed in house and tasted great which was very impressive! Last night they had a panini food truck and I believe on other nights they have other food trucks. The best part? The staff and everyone is exceptionally nice! You feel like you’ve known everyone for years. I can’t wait to go back and bring all of my friends!

I did enjoy my visit and will stop again when in the area. Not a fan of the saloon doors but that’s just me. Here are my thoughts on some of the Brews Just a Saison — nice and balanced and easy drinking. Let it ESB — tried the cask conditioned and this was full of flavor but a little too hoppy for my personal tastes which means some of my friends would love it. The Mild Rover — there are not many places you can get a British style Mild Ale so this had to be tried. A treacly edge gave this Mild some uniquness with the IBU level a little high to appeal to my taste buds but like I said. Bel Boy Porter — I was expecting something a little different here, hoping for more malt than hops and a smoother edge. Not to say I wouldn’t sample this again especially with some different food combinations. Updates to follow no doubt

Great selection of home made craft brews. Great Destination site. If you are hungry, there is a Food Truck Rally truck outside on Friday & Saturday nights!
