University of Texas of the Permian Basin

In driving through Odessa on the way to El Paso, some obscure website suggested stopping at the famous «replica Stonehenge». It is easy to find if you simply type in the university name. I definitely suggest stopping if you are in a similar road tripping circumstance. It really is not that impressive, but it is hilarious. For what purpose did someone donate these large rocks to be built into a Stonehenge replica? Also, there are info plaques around the site that teach you about the actual Stonehenge, but nothing about this large replica. If I didn’t know any better I would think that the «monument built approximately 3000 years ago» was referring to this rock formation. Anyways, why not go see it? A large and obviously effortful attempt of replicating an extremely famous English monument randomly located in west Texas, with no explanation as to why — it’s humorous to say the least.

This is my first semester at this school, and I have to say it is a pretty good one compared to the others Ive been. The schools population is small, which is excellent for some, while a downfall for others. Plenty of organizations/​clubs to join, and the teachers here are absolutely fantastic. They really know and seem to care about their students. The food that they serve in the cafeteria is the best ive had in a while to be honest. Every day I look forward to that breakfast. Lol. In the next few years I predict that this school will become BIG. Hopefully the district will be prepared for the transition. All in all a great school, coming from a San Antonian.
