Nice little local diner. Most of the breakfasts seem to be on the heavy, eat-your-entire-days-calories type of food. But I’m okay with that for an occasional weekend breakfast. Of course you can order lighter options, but why skip the gravy or cheese?! You can come here to enjoy an absolutely delicious breakfast plus skip the giant line over at Jeremiah’s. However, although you’re skipping the line you aren’t going to get your food extremely fast. Just like it says on the menu, they make their food fresh and that can come with a wait. We came here on a Sunday around 10AM and it took a little over an hour for our entire dining experience. Food was wonderful! They claim their chile verde to be the best and while it was good, I wouldn’t say it’s the best. I’d definitely recommend«The Crown» breakfast — eggs any style, on top of bacon, hashbrowns, with gravy. Bacon was thick cut and flavorful — not the skimpy gross kind some other restaurants serve. They kept our coffee full and provided different flavors of creamer. I’ve only been here a handful of times for breakfast, but I’ve never been disappointed. I would love to come for lunch sometime and try one of the delicious looking burgers!

Let me start by saying the food is ALWAYS good. It’s not fast food and the portions are ample and reasonably priced. But alas, the food execution is ALWAYS slow, and on Memorial Day it was painfully slow. We passed up another restaurant because they were on a wait and returned to No Frills because I was famished. We were thankful they were open on a holiday, and knew we’d probably have to wait about 15 min after we ordered for our food to cook, which I could handle. Nope — we walked in around 12:50P and our check was brought to us at 2:10P.(The restaurant was about 1⁄3 full.) No one greeted us for three min, then we were told we could sit anywhere. Drinks came promptly, order taken about 7 min later, then we waited. No one came to the table with an update on our food. We thought our soup and salad would at least be brought out beforehand, which is why we didn’t order an appetizer — nope. We watched plate after plate being brought out of the kitchen, hoping the next one was ours. I finally flagged a gentleman down around 1:45P and asked where we were in the line, because I wanted to leave — we had a lot of other errands to do and by this time my belly was full of Diet Coke and the hunger pains had subsided. We were told one more order ahead of us, so we waited. As usual, the food was good, but we won’t be back. The only suggestion I could make to the owners is a two-page complex menu serving breakfast and lunch all day is a tall order for any restaurant, but even taller for a kitchen with only one or two cooks. It’s not necessary to «be all things to all people,» just be some things and be good at them.

The food here was good, don’t be in a hurry, the service is pretty slow, and kind of absent minded.

Desperate to find a breakfast/lunch place open on Sunday that was not busy was proving to be difficult. We tried Jerimiahs but it was way to busy. We decided to stop here after driving back. The outside is not the best but the inside is clean and looks good. It is decorated 50s style. I ordered the 3 piece bacon plate and got to choose 3 sides. I went with hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, and scrambled eggs. My wife went with the special that was not on the menu, Greek omelet. The bacon was excellent, nice and crispy. Hash browns were cooked well too, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Eggs were standard. Biscuits were soft and loved them. The gravy was creamy but did not have a huge amount of flavor. Coffee was mild and I liked it a lot. The Greek omelet was big and had plenty of mushrooms, spinach, and others greekish things. It came with a side of tomatoes and cottage cheese. Service was a bit slow and I had asked for water 3 times and it never came. We went to the counter to get the check because we were waiting so long. Food was good and I’d come here again.

My sister and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning so I was expecting it to be busy. What I did not expect was that I would see at least 6 empty tables and 5 groups of people waiting over ten minutes to be sat. That was a bit of an annoyance. It took a long time for them to come take our order and then a while for the food to come. We both ordered chicken fried steak with eggs, hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. It looked amazing but I was disappointed to taste mostly garlic. There was garlic in the gravy, garlic in the breading covering the steak, chunks of garlic in the salsa we used on our eggs. I love garlic, I really do, but it was over powering and ruined the taste of everything! I know that under all that could have been an amazing breakfast! I’ll try this place again, hoping their cook was just a little heavy handed with that today.

I’ve been to No Frills a few times now, and every time the thing that holds it back is the speed of the service. The first time myself and my family went here it wasn’t too slow, but the next two times after the service has been painfully slow. The food I’ve had here has always been good though. Whenever I go in to a diner the litmus test is typically a bacon cheeseburger of some kind. If they have a particularly tasty looking side on the menu I’ll get that along with my meal as well, and usually I can try something off of my wife’s plate as well. So I’ve had a good sampling of their lunch and breakfast menus and I’ve not been disappointed. I’m not much for pancakes but I found the pancakes here to be an exception to that rule with how flavorful and fluffy they were. But food will only get you so far in «food service» and while the wait staff has been the same guy every time we’ve been there and he’s a perfectly nice guy, it seems to take forever for us to get any food. The last time we went I was there with my family and my sister’s family and both my daughter and my niece were chomping at the bit for a good while before they got their food. If you have kids and they’re not good at handling long waits, do not bring them here. If you have no where to be and want to sort of chill for a while before you eat, then this place is fine for you. If the service was a bit quicker and a little more consistent I might be more confident in awarding a higher rating, but for now they’ll have to remain a 3.

Waited for a very, very long time for our food. We were hoping the wait was worth it, we were sorely disappointed! I ordered an omelet and the eggs were the strangest rubbery texture, disgusting. I had heard biscuits and gravy were delightful, WRONG! Gravy was stone cold, could not reach a server to discuss the disapproval. My whole family stayed close to the bathroom for obvious reasons the rest of the day, calling health department Monday morning. Server said on the way out, «My apologies!» Hmm, not acceptable!

I stopped here for breakfast, and was glad they serve it all day. Very good, basic breakfast with large portions and lots of options. I tried the bacon, sausage and eggs combo with a side of B&G. Very reasonably priced. Great value!

Worst service and worst food ever. We decided to check this place out hoping it would be a nice diner to replace the one we moved across town from. Well huge fail on that. We went in at about 10AM on a Sunday and it wasn’t hardly busy at all. We ordered coffee and water, both of which we had to stop another waitress(not ours) to get refilled. That was just the start. Our waitress took our order, my husband got biscuits with sausage gravy(if you can call it that, he had maybe 5 square chunks of «sausage») and I ordered a chicken fried steak breakfast with sausage gravy as well. Ok so first of all our food was brought to us lukewarm, cool enough that I could instantly feed it to my two year old without worry and definitely not warm enough for us to eat(I’m pretty sure our waitress forgot about it and us). The portion sizes on both our meals was tiny, I normally have to get a box to take food home but I was able to clear my plate and still be hungry. The biscuits and gravy had no flavor at all, the sausage was flavorless(a packet of gravy would have tasted better). The chicken fried steak was horrible. Literally horrible, I think it was just a «steak» of hamburger instead of a cube steak. It was thick, chewy and the breading had no flavor at all. No seasoning no nothing. After we had cleared our plates we sat and clearly waited for our check for about 10 – 15 minutes while our waitress gossiped with the table of people that she obviously knew, and then finally got her attention when we went up to the cash register. We paid $ 25 for this food. I will NEVER recommend this place nor ever set foot inside ever again. Come on a breakfast place that can’t even do the basics of water/coffee refill, come on. We will definitely be making the 15 minute drive to our old diner to get our moneys worth.

Great food, the service wasn’t my favorite. Not very attentive or friendly but I got my food and it was tasty! Had the stuffed French toast and a side of bacon. The name says it all, there’s nothing fancy about it but who cares?

We were searching for a diner to remind us of home after recently moving to Utah… Nailed it with No Frills Diner. Great atmosphere, friendly and hard working servers, absolutely delicious food with portions that don’t quit. Their pancakes are made with pure love poured in the mixture. NFD patrons for life. From my family of foodies to yours– get down to No Frills Diner with an appetite and a light heart. Solid 5 stars hands down.

Food was Awesome, hash Browns were the best I’ve had in a long time and the server Donnie is the man! Will come back for sure. Coffee stayed full and hot and I was stuffed when we left. Happy our friends recommend this little spot to us.

Delicious! Pancakes are huge and fluffy, the hash browns are crispy and not overly greasy. Eggs over easy were cooked perfectly. Portions are big and the orange juice was served in a frosty mug. It took a little while to get the food but it was tasty and the staff were all very nice.

This place was great, it was a quick seat but a long wait for food. The waitress was great and I had the bacon wrapped sirloin which was Ama-za-zing!

We have been to this restaurant a few times, and every time we come it is excellent. I am a creature of habit and get the 10oz Chicken Fried Steak breakfast, and I get my hasbrowns with the added cheese, peppers, meats. Service is usually pretty good, but expect a long wait for your food to come out. They cook it as they get the order and it does take a long time, avg time so far has been at least 1.5 hours from sit down until leave. I haven’t tried the lunch yet, I was real close the last time, but I love their Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast. They give you a lot of food! They also have 2 challenges. One breakfast challenge for a huge omelet and a lunch challenge for a huge burger. You don’t win the food for free but if you eat all the food in 20 min or less you get a shirt. They also sell craft items inside, they usually have some pretty cool things.

This is the place of you like home style food, the cook is amazing and the food is to die for. The service is quick and the waiters are very friendly, try the south west hashbrowns or the peach waffles. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I hate that i have to give this place 3 stars, only because of the service. I absolutely LOVE the food but i hate the service.. it usually takes about 30 minutes before were even given menus or a drink and after we finally get our food we never see our waiter again, ever one else’s waiter gives them their check at their table, but we’ve always had to walk up to the counter to get ours… so i stopped tipping..

The food here ranges from average to simply terrible. They have the typical mainstays of a diner such as bacon and eggs, omelettes, burgers, etc. I was adventurous and tried the Chile Verde. Huge mistake. This was one of the single worst bowls of yuck I have ever ordered. It was a bowl of some thick, gooey substance without a single chunk of pork. If you took an over-cooked bowl of oatmeal, strained the oats out, gave it a greenish/grey color and a trace of pork flavoring, you would have their«Chili Verde».To top that off, it was served luke-warm. Nasty and disgusting are the printable words that come to mind. The service was poor as well. We ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs for our boys from the children’s menu. It takes 45 minutes to make child’s portions of pancakes and scrambled eggs? The waitress kept apologizing for the wait, and then brought out the adult’s food before the children’s. What planet do you come from? I got my bowl of grossness after about 30 minutes. The boys had to wait another 15 on top of that. Try having a couple of hungry kids wait nearly an hour for breakfast and serve others at the table before them. There was no way I could give them any of my revolting breakfast, not even as a joke. That would have been too mean spirited. The pancakes and scrambled eggs when they finally arrived were fine. My assumption is the«Cook» had never made scrambled eggs or pancakes before and was experimenting through trial and error in the kitchen for 45 minutes until he finally stumbled on how to make them. They should have been embarrassed to hand me a check. Lousy food and lousy service. It has become a family joke whenever I ask the kids where they want to go out to eat, the reply is «Anywhere but No-Frills diner!»
